Crawford is really strong and athletic. He played with Wiz at Penn State and Wiz recommended him.

Hard to say how good a football player he is since he didn’t grow up with the sport in England.

If he played any rugby growing up then he certainly knows how to smack guys around.

1) Carson Palmer won’t finish the season as the Raiders’ quarterback.
When Palmer was in Cincinnati, I called him the “human Jugs machine” for his incredible accuracy. Now, the former sharp shooter is reduced to having a water gun for an arm. Palmer was terrible last season for the Raiders. He’s been awful this preseason. Frankly, he was wretched at the end in Cincy. This is Hue Jackson’s parting gift. Matt Leinart knows Greg Knapp’s offense, as they spent the last two years together in Houston. Terrelle Pryor gives Oakland sizzle. Those two will prove to be better options, and Oakland will bring in a new quarterback for 2013. Bag

It’s all on Palmer at this point, make or break. No excuses will be tolerated by the new regime during his one year try out

It’s interesting that Oakland has kept punter Marquette King. He was put on injured reserve with a toe injury. If star punter Shane Lechler leaves after the season as a free agent, perhaps King can be groomed. King is not NFL ready, but he has a live leg and he has potential.
