Hello nation!
I am so pumped right now and cant wait for the game.
But I am so conflicted on how well CP3 can run this bootleg, zone blocking offense!
I fear its the wrong fit for him, and I was on his side last season. I thougth he showed a lot of promise considering the circumstances.
But that was in an old fashioned drop-back offense with traditional QB play. I still feel he is a very good THROWER of the football. But the new elements of this offense that are required from a QB, I fear he will struggle with.
I just dont want to see him on the naked bootlegs when the linebacker doesnt bit on the playfake and he has to beat that guy one-on-one. That scares me. Because in the preseason, he showed that he panics and throws a jump pass or off his back foot. That is INT central.
I hope he can take care of the ball tonight! Strike the balance of beign a good thrower, but not such a big risk taker.
What do you all think on this specific subject???

My feeling is the d-line will be impressive.
McClain is in great shape the d will be flying to the ball, I love this team speed on the d.
I expect smarter playing on the d which is to be expected with the new coaching staff.
Palmer has a lot on his shoulders to prove the critics wrong he is playing with that proverbial chip on his shoulders.
I would be shocked if we lost tonight, stunned actually.

Yeah, I think it was. But 2 series’ in game 1 shouldn’t really count against them. Good drive in AZ resulted in a Streater drop in the endzone. Seahawks kinda ate our lunch……It was a mixed bag, but it wasn’t horrible. There were glimmers of what could be.

is anyone else kinda surprised at the chosen games for the first monday night? i mean is the bengals/ravens game really that big of a draw? and two 8-8 teams from last year in the raiders/chargers? weird choices if u ask me. i’m like al david. i always suspect conspiracy. i get nervous that they “know something” and are setting us up for a tough start, trying to keep us from a hot start. but that’s probably cuz i’m too used to us not winning lately. and if we’re good, then it doesn’t fuking matter what they do.

124, Along those lines, notice last yr. they start us off with an easy enuff game…a 5-11 team the yr. prior. Only problem is it’s AT Denver..a heated rival AT Mile High where they usually win no matter what their record..and it’s Monday night..Broncos have a great record at home on MNF.
Then they say “let’s send ‘em to the east coast for an early game against Buffalo on a short week. That’ll fix ‘em”.
Then..let’s give em some home games..how about we give em the team that was in the AFC Championship game 2 yrs. in a row. Then…how about New England. That’ll put em at 0-4 and we don’t have to worry bout em anymore”.

hope wiz is ready to go. Parsons looks okay for a backup but not sold on him making line calls and adjustments esp. blitzes etc
I guess we don’t know the scratches till 6:30 pm but of the lists posted I would say that the new OT Willie Smith or whatever his name is is almost a certain scratch since he doesn’t know the system and doesn’t play special teams. Ford of course will be one. If wiz healthy probably Lucas Nix.
