I remember the Senior Bowl with Barksdale, BEFORE WE DRAFTED him, I hated him.
He basically got abused for two days in practice, then claimed he was “injured” even though the coaching staffs didn’t believe it, and many thought it was a call from his agent to not further kill his draft stock.
While Mayock was telling this story, they cut the camera’s to Barksdale, who was sitting on the bench, with a hood over his head, looking like he was sleeping and not even paying attention to the game.
When we drafted him, I knew he would be nothing.
