Hamilton and Washington were just caught on camera arguing in dugout.

We gonna get a Reggie Jackson/Billy Martin moment today?

========================

Sweet revenge as Ron Washington was once with the A's - sweep would be perfect.

I dont know what Hamilton is arguing over -their batters were dominated by Grant Balfour.

Not speaking too soon, but I think the Rangers simply folded - and the A's have been accustomed to winning one run games with clutch performances...low payroll underdog triumphing over gazillion dollar rosters - Aint it grand?

IT’S THE O-LINE AND KNAPP STUPID!

Yeah, Dakota. Its only too obvious - were just trying to rationalize Allen doing the same thing over and over again - maybe the bye week will have him see the obvious. It really seems like these guys didnt have the contingency plan in place following the pre-season struggles.

toss sweep ( aka power sweep) and outside zone stretch are two totally different things.

you may be confusing them
===================================

Exactly. I understand what he is saying and you are right. Again, the problem is you have the two guys running the org that are going to run certain systems. If for whatever reason the players are not system fits, they will find players who are. Not change their system beliefs.

===============================

This is what blows my mind. Allen was on the same team that adjusted its offense to match Tebow's strengths, the defense rallied and they went to the playoffs. Allen MUST see the similar issue and modify - how embarrassing was it to watch the Niners pull out the wild cat successfully v. the Jets - and we have a similar player, Terrelle Pryor -and he's INACTIVE?!

Either Allen has a heap of ego, or its just the growing pains of a young, stubborn coach? Its bizzarre, because don't young people change and innovate?!

I wonder why the Pitt game was so different from the Denver game offensively for the Raiders.

They were throwing mid range strikes, throwing to the sticks on 3rd…….

Did they experiment with Al Saunders?

========

Carson got the call to change plays at the line, and was a bit more familiar with facing the Steelers from his NFC North days?

It was like night and day - facing Peyton Manning will do that. - really wondering if Allen had growing pains, and why couldnt he get a DC with a little more experience? Why didnt he know the previous Knapp led OC struggled?

Who would you have running the offense right about now?

Hue or Knapp?
Its not even close.
Knapp came in wit this BS zone scheme. Totally fked our offense up.
Last year the problem wasn’t the offense, it was the defense.
This year its both.
============================================

I don’t think there is ANY doubt the new regime has come here to put certain systems in place, got rid of some of the very high contracts and are in the process of seeing who fits and who doesn’t in the new org.

This was not about taking an 8-8 team and trying to win a game or two more. This year was about installing the new regimes systems and seeing which players mesh. You don’t blow up a young 11-5 team. An 8-8 team? Yep.
=========

You don’t blow up a 8-8 team.
You build on it!

==========

A weak 8-8 team (only real win coming against a reeling Chargers team and Palmer playing in front of La Jolla - his backyard. - us barely being able to beat the Bears and backup Caleb Hanie....us eking out a win v. the Texans, who were a playoff team. ....we should've blown out the Vikings, and kept them in it.

The reality is the roster is a culmination of picks that should have been there and have long since been traded, with a number of former players barely hanging on as subs or out of the league. The draft is the key and picks were traded, the coaching staff had little if any input - and you see the result.

Arizona is back primarily due to drafted players like O'Brien Schofield, Patrick Peterson, Calais Campbell and keeping their coaching staff (Ken Whisenhunt, who we could've had, if Davis let him pick his staff) - top notch assistants like Bones Fassel left due to the uncertainty of coaching, the ST struggle YET AGAIN.

I shudder to think that Allen could be Kiffin II. Someone here using our situation as a stepping stone to a BCS head coaching gig...has it come to that?
