Palmer’s take on where Raiders stand entering bye

By Steve Corkran
Friday, October 5th, 2012 at 1:10 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Here’s what quarterback Carson Palmer had to say about where the Raiders stand through four games, what they got accomplished in practice this week, what lies ahead during the bye and the other issues surrounding the team:

Q: Bye week, what accomplished and how get back on track?
Palmer: A lot. Obviously, with the issues we’ve had on third down, we went back through ‘em, watched ‘em all multiple times. Repped ‘em in walkthroughs, repped ‘em in practice, against our defense, against the looks we saw in games. Now that I think about it, these last two days was a ton of red zone, a ton of third down, so it’s been good. It’s good to have this chance, this early to kind of do a self-scout, self-evaluation to look at why, and it’s really frustrating to watch on film because we’re just an inch off here and an inch off there and we had three third downs where we were a half-yard short. And it’s just execution, knowing the play so well that you just react.

Q: Execution in the games, one thing to watch it and rep it, another thing to do it in games. .
Palmer: Rep it and rep it and rep it. There’s a couple of times where we’re not thinking too much and not reacting on what we’re coached to do in that situation. When you’re in a new offense and it’s new guys and a couple of rookies in some spots, it’s really good to have this opportunity this early as opposed to having a bye week in Week 8 or 9 where most of the season has kind of passed you up. It’s so early we had a chance to really look at it and understand why we didn’t stay on the field. We put our defense in a tough position, why we went three-and-out and why we lost the time of possession in games and the coach did a really good job of illustrating the statistics of it. This is what happens when you go three-and-out and you don’t get a first down, you put the opposing offense in a better field position situation, just kind of going over all those little situations, so it’s been really good to get everybody on the same page and see why certain things we do well work and why certain things that we didn’t do well didn’t work and how we can make adjustments. It’s been a good week.

Q: What’s the morale like in the locker room?
Palmer: It was a good bye week. A lot of times bye week can come. It’s so far into the season that you just need a break. I don’t feel like guys think we need a break. We’re frustrated that we are where we are because of the way we’ve executed and we were all talking and we were in the team meeting, this is a week to get better, there are meetings to get better, workouts, these practices are a chance to get better. I really feel like we got a lot of accomplished this week. We focused so much on third down, we will be better, and offensively, we’re going to keep our defense fresher and keep them off the field. I think we’ve ironed on some things we’ve don’t do well and some things we do well and we’ll do those more often.

Q: Depart four days, what is the message imparted by coaches . . .
Palmer: It’s not four off days. That’s something you’ve really got to relay to young guys. You’re don’t just sit on the couch and watch TV. Everybody’s taking home film, I know I’ve got a bunch of stuff stuff on my computer I need to watch and even young guys are taking home film of not just (inaudubile) but their own plays, balls thrown, runs run their way. It’s a chance to get some rest physically, but not mentally. That’s something coach really emphasized. You can go one of two ways, you can say, screw it I’m going to Vegas and party for four days, and that’s not what this team is about. Most of these guys are sticking around, are going to come in and work out. A couple of guys are going to see family, but guys are taking stuff home, guys are taking playbooks home. It’s not like, we’re not in a situation where guys are flying to the airport to leave in 10 minutes. Guys understand we’ve got a lot of football left and it’s not time just to relax, it’s time to get healthy but continue to work, to work out and stay in shape and be ready to go on Monday.

Q: Coaches can’t coach you during the break, but can you reach out to players, will you be in contact with them . .
Palmer: Yeah, for the most part in this locker room, guys, we’re co workers, but guys are friends. Guys will be in here working out. A couple of guys are going to an obligation they have in L.A., but there’s a place to work out, they’re working out in L.A., but yeah, we’ll all be in communication.

Q: Lack of deep pass plays . . .
Palmer: there’s not a cause for it. There’s reasons to be more attacking in that in that sense and we’ve talked about that. We’ve played two division games, two opportunities to look at those films and see, maybe we’ll do a little but more of this, the next time we play the Chargers or this next time we play Denver, but we are going to be more aggressive. It’s something that we definitely addressed, taking more shots downfield.”

That BAY AREA sports scene is back. Giants, Whiners, OAKLAND A’s… guess who’s missin and who is sucks right now?

    Interesting point. Warriors?

Has the season started? are they playin right now?

We should all get used to the fact that our boys are maybe two years away from consistent winning. Much less winning the division or the conference.
And if they keep Knapp, that time will grow longer. Pollack also needs to go. Those two are the biggest reason the offense hasn’t been at least competitive.
By that time, Palmer will be gone. Better start shopping for a young, realistic QB candidate.
I really believe that Pryor will be used to get a draft pick or two. I don’t see him in the picture going forward. Hopefully there’s a market for him. I’d hate to have wasted that 3rd for absolutely nothing.

THE OAKLAND A’s have given Bay Area fans more excitment in 3 days then the RAIDERS have given us in 10 years .. get it together Raiders sheeet

Im telling u Raider fans .. if we ever get back on top.. there will nothing like it. THERE will be nothing like PLAYOFF ATMOSPHERE in the O.Co colisieum.

We need a HOG DEFENSE FIRST!!

Get rid of HUFF aka powder puff, RO, Seymour, and Kelly would be a start

The raiders n carson palmer included like to talk a big game. THey like to say we are soooo close. We are a missed tackle away.. we just have to make this read.. just wait till the run game comes.. just wait till we start clicking, we are a block away from winning again

Then the games actually start and they lose ..

Which O-Lineman don’t fit the ZBS? Besides W. Smith?
    ===============

you missed my point, it isnt simply about the o-line and weather or not they fit the zbs. Carlisle and brisel for example have experience in zone blocking, but they are not very good players at this stage. They need to be replaced but lack of draft and being “out of whack” financial situation meant we had to roll with them for the time being.

Also the issues fro this team run far deeper than one unit, we need an overhaul across the board. These players do not fit the vision offense defense and special teams.

sorry but it is the the reality of a rebuild

its a laughable notion that the coaches will completely change the offense or scrap the wco, or the zbs, or even bring in sunders in week 5 of the season. Then all of the work that has been done to install a new plan and offense would go to waste. It would set back the future, which is bringing in guys that fit the wco and zbs next year. This does not happen in football and if it happened here we would have to seriously question the leadership.

You are trying to sell a plan, you must commit to it.

Fire knapp and hire suanders to re install the old offense from a year ago?!?!?

    What a joke
    ========

You just want to see a lousy year by Carson Palmer so we can draft your boy Geno.
Strip Knapp of his play calling duties. Don’t destroy the schitty foundation.
    ======

Wow sometimes I can barley follow your abstract musings and wild conspiracy theory.

Are you seriously proposing that palmer is having a lousy season? I will admit it isnt super star material or elite but he has been solid, if uninspiring.

Give him credit for learning a new offense and cutting the picks early in the season. Will it continue? well it remains to be seen but it isnt out of the realm of possibility that he has a decent year, especially trying to earn that 17 million next season.

Geno smith is a fantastic player, but i also like tp6, and a host of other qbs that are still in college. So Even if we didnt draft a qb next season, there are still several others coming over the next 3-4 years that i will say we should draft if given the chance.

No matter how carson plays, or negotiates his pay, the clock is ticking, no man has beaten time. No amount of hero worship from you can save him.

    wow…..

What I got from that link is the same thing I said yesterday, the players haven’t ben coached up the proper way in this ZBS. I think this rookie o-line coach is in over his head, he needs an assistant like Wiz or someone that can get these players to believe in this scheme and teach them the right way to execute it. Wiz probably clashed with this guy over something and said Im out, Im not buyin the personal reasons excuse. These players aren’t buyin into this schit and that goes on the coach. Look what Wylie and Wiz did with the line, COACHING MAKES A DIFFERENCE BELIEVE IT OR NOT

    ======

This dink and dunk knapp system seems to me to be working very well for palmer, and may even have extended his career. he simply is not the deep throwing 30-40 attempt guy he was in the mid 2000’s

Hue bought a camaro but it had a ton of milage, and the evidence pointed to palmer continuing to struggle in the vertical offense. By evidence I mean all of the multiple int games, he suffered in oakland and cincy, tossing a very dubious 118 picks in 110 games.

Since going small ball he has cut the picks, so maybe knapp and da know more than we do and they are fitting what palmer does best at this point in his career.

The draw back is that as much as knapp may have reigned in palmer , palmer’s particular weakneses also limit the offense. Namley lack of athleticism ( all of the truly great wco qbs have been able to move) and ability to throw on the run.

This is the way rebuilds are born

Not including Al Saunders as an option; who would have been your choice as an offensive coordinator?

Mine would be Mark Helfrich who currently is the offensive coordinator for the Oregan Ducks and Steve Greatwood as the offensive line coach. If we, in no way are returning to a man/power scheme, then these two would be my selection. With more quarterbacks coming out of college that are athletic and able to take off under duress, I think it would be fitting; especially if Pryor is able to come around and be a starter for us. If not there are many more QB’s coming out of college who’d be able to run the spread offense with a bit of west coast mixed in.

Im a Hue Jackson supporter, but it aint happening…. so. im thinking if raiders go 1-4, 2-6… get Palmer out of there and see what we have in #6… plan for next year, trade #20 for draft picks…. start over…

    Secondly,

What makes anyone think our record would be any different with a better OC?

Game 1: No long snapper, disastrous results. Bill Walsh wouldn’t have made a difference. All teams punt, even the great ones.

Game 2: Palmer was awful. Couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat.

Game 3: That would be a win.

Game 4: Peyton’s back against the wall. They would have beaten the ‘85 Bears.

tsk tsk tsk I will explain it for you

Game 1 When Condo goes down Hue changes the game plan because he knows nobody snaps like the Condo so we pass on every fourth down and CP goes 40 for 52 410 yards and a 38-17 drubbing of the Dolts

Game 2 Hue knows CP is due for a bad game from the lackluster warm ups and CP proves it after 2 passes so
Coach Huge Johnson puts the game on Darrens and the big Mac responds with 27 rushes for 207 yards three TDs and we roll over the fins 38-17

Game 3 Need I say more, Same game but more of everything good for us and bad for them

Game 4 Hue keeps Manning off the field with a two headed ground attack of Typhoon and the Mac and we escape with a 38-17 victory

Game 5 Goddell gives Hue and the Raiders an extra bye week for being awesome

Yes, he did win three Super Bowls. However, it’s been 30 years since the last one and in that time, our franchise slowly became a complete joke. A thorough fumigation was in order, and it’s proceeding nicely.

Actually the most important issue, return to power blocking scheme. Raiders the only team that is practicing (our zbs) during games, while our opponent is playing to win the game.

Yes the A’s. Great story, but I have to say trying to watch these playoff games it’s tuff; they are agonizingly slow. Guy throws a pitch and it’s fouled off and then fouled off again..and again…and again. Then closeups of everybody spitting. Then after each pitch they have to step away, and adjust their batting gloves even if they don’t swing. Then more spitting.

My biggest disappointment with DA and Tarver has to do w state of defense. I know I know we lost talent BUT if we had installed a SYSTEM in place the way Harbaugh has in SF you could plug in good athlete to execute it. Reporters are too nice to DA to bring this up. I think Reggie buttered reporters so much for this reason. Even Kawakami is being nice to the management and Our coaches.

Goatel is slow and a backup at best. I like Cork’s rhetorical question during his live show today:
“Who on our defense starts for SF?”
Answer is Nobody. I was so shocked to hear during Denver game Phil Sims call Huff “one of the best safeties in NFL!” My 7 year old son said “really????” Lol. What was he on?
We have fundamental issues on defense from talent to scheme to execution. I’m sure DA is fixing them all of course during the bye week w half the team busy buying BMWs for strippers in Vegas. Not that there anything wrong with that or course!!!!!

  197. UCLA Raiders Says:

I’m not a psychotherapist but it almost seems like he’s frustrated that he sucks and he doesn’t wanna after a guy cuz it’s an admission he got beat on the play.

Add to that I think he’s way overrated as a player anyway.

That fall on his butt against Denver is almost football follies material.

I don’t think he’s a guy with a good family structure which may have contributed to his actions down in Alabama.

I refuse to feel sorry for anybody that doesn’t even try and doesn’t even care enuff about his team…or his fans to go all out.

It’s not my job to try and understand his psyche, but he is a liability on defense. Burris (like Cork said) should be put in at MLB and imo McClain should be benched…period.

  228. Raider guy Says:

Dj. I so thin McClain might get benched. Traver called him out with his 11 guys need to run to the ball when they asked him about McClain dogging it. That dude turned out to be a bad pick. Time to move on….

I would rather have a guy go down swinging than just half assing itout there. If u watch last weeks game, McClain was their main point of attack. How many crossing routs into the middle of the field did u see? I saw A LOT.

  229. eastoaklandraider Says:

    Very well stated.

I saw what you saw on Sunday with him. I also got the same impression from what Tarver said about “all 11 guys”. He said alot with that statement.

I think the only reason Goethel hasn’t replaced him already is they are giving him (McClain) one last chance to show if he’s worth anything.

    He’s not…move on imo.

  237. DJ Johnny Says:

DA is in kind of a tuff spot perception wise. For an up and coming coach “perception” is important if he hopes to continue being a HC in this league and you don’t get many chances unless you’ve proven yourself at least once.

We can say that Hue’s 8-8 was a “mirage” all we want, but if he continues to get pummelled the rest of the yr. with 20 plus pt. margins…whether it’s his fault or not, it won’t bode well for HIS future either.

  238. DJ Johnny Says:

We’ll see what happens, but i’m hoping he’s gonna do whatever he can to get the offense rolling now and make bold moves (like bench McClain) on defense.

    That’s my prediction.

Ad…master of the terrible contracts. Already Reggie is running circles around the old man in that regard. Phil wheeler? A bargain. One year contracts to prove yourself as we rebuild? Brilliant. Haven’t been too impressed with branch, but they locked him up for under the going rate…al wouldn’t have. He would have been locked up, but at a tommy kelly rate that makes the raiders look stupid and costs us flexibility, players and wins down the road…javon walker, kameron wimbley, Larry brown, that strong safety from the giants who I can’t remember, randy moss, dude. As I type, this team has been a mess. Look at our drafts! We have done pretty piss poor in the early rounds when you get the playmakers that we were all trying to think of who could start on the niners. God. Now I am all fired up and I gotta go to bed. Thanks for the conversation you guys.

  261. BabySlash Says:

Strange that the Raiders of the last many years (no matter who the coach is) come out tired and flat in the second half of games and ALWAYS get crushed when coming back after a bye week. Fishy !

  262. BabySlash Says:

One guy we are missing is Curry. He plays hard all the time and tries to crush people. He blew coverage but set the edge and blew people up and went hard. We miss that guy

  263. GG Says:

I dont think RM/DA have the balls to cut McClain. They’ll instead wait till his appeal gets overturned, and/or Goodell suspends him. Then they’ll make the move to release him. That way they can’t be blamed for anything….except allowing a season to go to waste thru lacking balls and creativity.

  264. GG Says:

^ I meant lack the balls to even bench McClain.

  265. Al_is_theraiders Says:

there you guys go again with this change (bench mcclain) krapp, this is change = da, tarver, reggie and krappy….what has change gotten us?

  266. RunN2DaNite83 Says:

The Raiders are the most penalized team in the league for many years, now……. [undisciplined, poor coaching, terrible character], hell no. The league and owners want money, and boring first down football, in a ground attack goes against the business model.

Al knew this and forced the 60’s -70’s run game down its capitalistic throat, and a backlash of penalties were the result. Oh look….. Rich Gannon, Rice, Brown, ((((The B.O.M.B.))))), yea……Al’s giving in, Al’s giving in, let them get to the dance, our business model is now proven, the league is now fully integrated with the pass and now forecasted long-term investments (Pat’s) can be materialized (cheating at the highest degree), and the revenues can pile in.

  267. RunN2DaNite83 Says:

Now guess who’s coming to dinner, you guessed it a Raiders dismantling, and forecasts of Brady ball with little scat backs out the backfield, or in the slot catching 2 yard passed, and a running game on kickoffs and punt returns.

Capitalism, you have to love it! Al hated it……and said F@@@ the league that (HE PUT ON THE MAP), not the punk A@@ Cheese farts in ICELAND [For dummies, reference Packers].

We now are living in a World without Al, and his 4th of July BALL BUSTING. This last decade was not about wining Raider Nation, it was about telling the League and the bull crap to go take a flying @@@k!

  268. RaiderRockstar Says:

Remember when Branch referenced the heat he was taking and you and I openly questioned where he could have been getting that from?

RRS and I were the ONLY ones screaming about how bad this guy has been.

He’s literally been terrible since opening day in Tenn.

    ***

    Jhill is correct. Branch sucks

I was told that I must not be watching the games. that Reggie & Dennis are smarter than me. that every major sports website had Branch listed as a Top 10 SS in the league. that he’s worth every penny and should be locked up for the next 5-6 years. I was called names and had my Raider loyalty questionned.

  282. mcfadden20. Says:

I just think Reg too a little too much time getting a Head Coach and that head coach did not have many good available choices for a DC or OC .. I think Tarver has some potential and this D will take some time to learn all the multiple things they want to do on that side and with some better corners and little better pass rush , we should be fine on that side… n i really think we have turned the corner on RUN D.. yeah i know we were absolutely abused on the ground for 2 games but i think we’re a good run D.. it’s the pass D that’s hurting us but we will be fine with Spencer and Bartel back and hopefully Carter and So’oto guy along with return of A. CUrry can provide some pass rush in critical situations

  283. mcfadden20. Says:

    COntinued from the last post
    ..

I just gotta add that, i can’t imagine G Knapp being DA’s first choice for an OC position … i think by the time he was hired a lot of good available coordinators were already gone … I just can’t get the logic in hiring him, Maybe it was to limit Palmer’s TO problems? which seem to work , but can’t find any other positive in it .. Maybe with more time we may start Blocking better in Run and Pass protect better… maybe the play calls suck because.. we had 2 rookies starting and 1 guy who was just picked up 3 weeks ago and one of them was starting opposite D..Moore .. so combining that along with no Pass Blocking and no RUN Blocking .. it was a disaster on the field .. Just hope we can do all the fundamental things better and hopefully we can have both DHB and MOORE starting rest of the year .. we can’t really afford to have either of them out every other week because there is not much Depth behind them

I agree with your prediction that the Raiders will go 2/14. However, the new LA stadium will not want losers like the Raiders. They are incapable of producing enough revenue to pay their rent there and the new stadium won’t get tangled up in default.

The ugly, freakish, red-haired, pock marked spawn, Mark, is totally out of it. It’s no wonder AD (BIH) locked him in a closet.

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Why would trading DMAC worry you ? DMAC is no elite back. If he was he would have broken out already this season.

DMAC had two great games in his career, one against the Broncos, the other against the Jets, last year. These teams were in the lowest cellar with horrendous D’s. Uber-performance in these games doesn’t make DMAC elite.

Besides those games DMAC is mediocre having gained less yards on the ground than Michael Bush, both playing 4 seasons.

  289. RaiderDanny Says:

  291. papertiger418 Says:

It’s also worth noting that DMAC isn’t the most durable back in the world. What worries me is that he may be healthy this year and show some production as the o-line gels, which would put Reggie in a difficult position. What if we extend him and he gets injured game 2 next year? Another lost season.

    - bad records in 2012 and 2013 will make it easier to relocate as Oaklanders will say good riddance. If 2012 was a playoff year they would give up so easy on team to relocate to LA

You can put down the gun. Greenbay turned us down, thats what started the Favre drama, he was pissed that they didn’t do the trade.

Andrew Brandt wrote a story about this in the summer on ESPN, he worked for GB for years. The story was about trades and the inner workings and what not and he used this as an example about trades that never happen. The Raiders wanted to do the trade, but GB front office didn’t want to give up Rodgers.

In 2007, the Raiders made Randy Moss available. We were interested provided we could agree on trade terms and compensation. The Patriots were interested, too.

Moss demanded a one-year deal so he could hit the market after the season and recoup some lost value, but we insisted on a two-year deal. We did not want to be a temporary stop for him before he made another big contract elsewhere. When New England relented on the one-year term, Moss was a Patriot.

Favre was livid. I spent the rest of the draft listening to Bus Cook, his agent, express Favre’s anger, along with threats to not show up. I knew Favre had long dreamed of playing with Moss, but I told him that Greg Jennings would be a star in time. Favre said he didn’t have time. I explained our method of drafting and developing players, but it only served to deepen his resentment of a general manager who did not welcome his input the way previous regimes had.

    ——————————————————-

Ok, they never came out and said Rodgers was part of the package, but Moss is the reason he didn’t get traded to GB, he wanted a 1 year deal and GB wouldn’t budge off there 2 year deal. I though I heard somewhere that Rodgers was going to be part of trade, but it could just be a rumor from PFT, back then thats what they were known for.

Did’nt the milelow mules have a fantastic D last year?
Much improved from the year before?
    Some people are never happy

In fact, Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey says the Broncos don’t just think they can win: Bailey said the Broncos “know we can win.”

But that wasn’t always the case. According to Bailey, last year he didn’t believe all of his teammates were confident heading into their two losses against the Patriots.

“I didn’t feel like there were 53 guys that thought we could win,” Bailey said. “And it showed.”

So what’s different this time? Bailey suggested that replacing last year’s defensive coordinator, Dennis Allen, with Jack Del Rio was a step in the right direction. And although he didn’t mention them by name, he clearly believes that quarterback Peyton Manning gives the Broncos a better chance of beating the Patriots than Tim Tebow did.

  348. Plunketthead Says:

What’s up Nation. Still stinging from the beatdown last weekend, the good news? We have a bye this week, so I’m sure D.A. and Knapp are coming up with a brilliant gameplan to knock off the Falcons. Knapp “Let’s attack them with 1.5 yd runs and 3 yd screens, they will never see it coming” D.A. “Excellent plan, I’ve instructed Tarver to roll with the soft zone because we have such a great pass rush, we can shut down White, Jones, and Gonzales with our awesome corner play, can’t wait to yuk it up with Mike Smith after the game” Next Sunday isn’t gonna be fun Nation, hope I’m wrong. But I’m just about all out of optimism for this year’s Raiders. The season isn’t over by any means, but huge changes need to be made and I just don’t think this coach has the stones to do it. Looking foward to seeing what this staff is going to do after it’s “evaluation”.

Sad but true, I’m still hopeful that we can turn things around, but I have NO FAITH in this coaching staff and many of our players. Knapp is terrible, I’m not on the “change the scheme” bandwagon, the zbs is here to stay, and although it doesnt fit our talent it can be effective, we just have the worst OC in football running it, and a terrible O line coach. I think if DA shows some balls and turns play calling over to Saunders it can be salvaged. Will he do that? Probably not. The only coach I can kind of give a pass is Tarver.

  358. VaRaiderNation Says:

Palmer, DMAC, Reece, Moore, DHB, Wiz, Veldheer, Ausberry, Burris, Wheeler, Houston (should be moved inside), Kelly (because we cant replace everyone next year), and maybe Branch (if he can get his sh!t together and be the player we paid for). These are the only starters that should still be on this roster next season imo. Those are the only players that I have any faith in on this team, and Kelly and Branch arent exactly impressing me. I like Seymour but he’s NOT worth his contract, he’s a situational player now, not a gamechanger. Doesnt even practice, just saving for retirement. smh

That would explain all the garbage in the hall ways.

  413. raidertalk Says:

As a fan I love Oakland, the Oaktown Coliseum is better than the LA Coliseum. But, that ain’t saying much! Anything is better than that old track-and field dump that USC plays in.

I’ve watched games in LA and Oak, but the experience is better in Oakland, BART, seats closer to the field more hard-core fans. And I get to hook with my people in the Bay Area and actually tailgate.

All that being said, the place is getting older. I went up for the Bears game last season and I could see stacks of wood holding up the bleachers. The bridge from BART is way too narrow and there seems to be only one entrance, etc etc.

The City and the County need to step up. I came up with friends a couple times with money to spend after the game and nothing was open in Oak on BART on the way back. As an LA fan I actually think the Raids have been better off in Oak. But if nobody steps up and nothing is invested, the experience is gonna go further down and millions of dollars will be wasted.

For crying out loud; my friends would still fly up during back to back 8-8 seasons. We are now the last team in the NFL with infield dirt. If they build a new stadium in LA and Oaktown does nothing what do people expect?

How else you explain Herrera and that mess with the media.

I know for a fact Al had a hit out for Ron Wolf when he left for Tampa.

Gruden’s lucky he escaped with his life.

    =======

Yeah & Ron Wolf came back here…Must have hated him.

lol. Good one from my clone, about Romney executing his opposition with lasers shooting from his eyes.

I see my clone was on a roll last night.

Got to root for the new england clamheads today. And the Saints, oh my they have got to disrupt the rivers/norm affair. I would almost like to see kc beat biltmore cuz I can’t stand the ravens, but gotta do what’s right for the standings. Screw it. KC has got to beat the ugly birds, we just gotta take care of our own business and win outright and beat KC twice. We control our own destiny.

    THAT is very funny.

i wonder if Al moving the team to LA back in the 80’s has anything to do with why a new stadium isn’t getting done.

i don’t know all the ins and outs of what’s going on behind the scenes, but this is a business and raiders keep losing $$$.

mark could easily leave again (if la would take the raiders which is debatable)and have the excuse of ‘hey, this is a move i HAVE to do to keep the raiders alive as a franchise, it’s either THIS or fold.

  424. Kiwi_Blade Says:

Are you sure the Raiders are losing $$$ Raider8?

I would be suprised if zny NFL team is losing enough money to fold…..

They are repping against their defense. Maybe that’s the problem.
