    ——————————
Mr Hair – it’s entirely possible to lose on Sunday.
I would put the chances of this at around 25%

  • Kiwi_Blade

Raiders DO NOT need to throw games to get a high draft pick. Great players can be drafted in 3rd 4th 5th round.

  • Kiwi_Blade

Great that the defense is looking better with #55 benched and TARVER adjustments.
I’m, going to cook up some more of my malty moonshine and drink to Tarver’s defensive plays all season long.

  • Kiwi_Blade

Last night I had nightmares. I was being attacked by ELWAYS TEETH. There is no way I’m watching the Donkeys again, ever..

  • raidertalk

I don’t know about tanking this season. The draft doesn’t seem as deep as last year with RG3 and Luck. Geno Smith has been fading of late no? Is he really as sure of a pick as those two? Matt Barkely? Some drafts might be worth tanking it but this year I see no clear first rounder…is there anyone there

  • Kiwi_Blade

Its almost certain that the best player in the draft won’t be the first pick.
Ray Lewis – 13 Pro Bowls – was only the 5th linebacker chosen in the 1996 NFL draft.
Which athlete did Al pick in RD1 1996?

  • Kiwi_Blade

1996 pick 9 TE Rickey Dudley
    1996 pick 26

  • Kiwi_Blade

    1996 pick 26 Ray Lewis

  • Dub77

    Dudley….

President JaMarcus was awful last night…

McClain’s snaps dropped from 73 against the Broncos on Sept. 30 to 17 against the Falcons on Sunday.
By comparison, Burris played 27 of the 77 snaps against the Broncos and all 55 against the Falcons.
Allen said he doesn’t foresee getting away from this alignment, given how well Burris played against the Falcons.

    ***

    LOL!!

    nice work, Steve.

    Burris went 129th overall. He’s a rookie

McClain was a Top 10 draft choice and he’s in his 3rd year. no injuries as an excuse. no Chuck Bresnahan as an excuse. He sucks and he’s a thug. We need any other reasons to purge this turd off the roster during the offseason, Reggie??

  • joetoronto

In Burris, Allen sees a young player who gets better each game.
“He’s not a repeat mistake offender,” Allen said. “He makes the corrections, he understands football and concepts and he’s able to make adjustments and get things corrected.

    Unlike SloLando.

  • RaiderRockstar

#55 & #33 should both be traded for late round picks before (or during) the draft, Joe.

… if Reggie has any sense

  • fingers

1190…. For Me the key to that article is the last Paragraph , I believe they are trying to find a way to keep the Team in our community …. I believe despite what Cork says is that the Powers that be in the NFL want the Raiders to stay in Oakland and really would prefer another team in LA … I also feel Mark Davis would rather keep the team on Oakland or as he said in Dublin which is just over the Oakland Hills off 580…

  • Just Fire Baby

I don’t see teams trading for a LB mid-season, too tough to teach them up on the defense and what not and get any real production.

If we trade someone, I think it will be TK. Interior pass-rushers can come in off the street for a 3rd and 8 and rush the passer.

  • Just Fire Baby

I am calling it right now.

The A’s will send a quality arm or two to the Yanks this offseason, for A-Rod, and depending on the quality of the arms sent, the Yanks will pay 75%-90% of A-Rod’s salary.

Not if they make the playoffs.

He’ll choke like he does every year.

He’s still due 100 mill over next 4 yrs.

  • DJ Johnny

    A Rod for 25 mill. this yr. hit .272 18 Hr’s (i think).

I think Alfonso Soriano hit over .270 and hit 30 hr’s.

    Mornin’ Nation

55 and 93 are the most likely to be traded before the deadline, I think. Maybe McFadden if he doesn’t step it up in the next two weeks, although I think they’re committed to getting him going in this offense for at least the whole season.

    Raiders 27 – Jaguars 17

Now you’re talking. Take him at that amount.

Maybe he’d hit better with out all the pressure of New York.

Romney made the mistake of challenging him on the Lybia issue. The exchange made Romney look like a bad guy. Bad move.

Didn’t know fading future Hall of Famers were the new market inefficiency. Missed that chapter in Moneyball. ;)

Seriously, though, A-Rod has full no-trade protection and I’m not sure where, if anywhere, he’d be willing to waive it to go.

  • DJ Johnny

    1233,

You’d think he may wanna get of New York where he is relentlessly booed all the time…at least in playoffs.

A good point. He may be fed up with the media and fans. Couldn’t blame him.

  • jimmyball12

I can see trading slo55..BUT..Kelly? I think If we wana make some kind of run to the tourny this year he will be a vital part of it, when he’s on his game hes one of the best in the league IMO, I think he’s better than seymour!

  • Macho Man Randy Savage

No excuses, we should manhandle Jax at home. Our D should be stout against the run, and our makeshift DBs should pair up nicely against their makeshift WRs.

Jax has the #32 ranked O in the league, we are playing at home…

  • Marks hair

There is no touney for us this yr.. trade anybody not bolted to the floor.

  • Macho Man Randy Savage

Tommy Kelly. The cons outweight the pros. Plays in cruise control a lot. Careless attitude from a veteran is a bad example for the young guys. Bottom line: not a winner.

My patience for Titty Knapp time ends this weekend.

I need a win, and quite frankly, not a 9-7 one either.

  • Just Fire Baby

Do you think my man Ro-stinko gets the token start Sunday?

Or do they just pull the plug completely and don’t even have him starting?

  • Macho Man Randy Savage

For all the running game concerns, if Knapp can fix the redzone woes we will win some games…practice redzone plays!

  • Macho Man Randy Savage

bench slowlando for a couple of games, make him work for his playing time, let him earn it, he wont jog around anymore.

He’ll probably end up looking for a reason why he must go home…

  • Marks hair

Slos still our mlb… atl ran 3 and 4 wrs all day.. thats why we were in the nickle.. teams are smart.. they will force us to stay in our base d more.. and they will go no huddle more.

  • hwnrdr

The home crowd will be restless…been a month since our last home game. Not sure if that “almost won” game still generates a sell out but with the 85% rule, you never know. Irregardles, it will be fun being back at the O!

  • bcz24

Slo will play 80% of plays Sunday. Jacksonvilles whole offense is predicated on running the ball. Gabbert is not a huge threat throwing the ball.

Wouldn’t seeing the ‘big nickle’ with Ro coming out and Mitchell coming in though.

  • jimmyball12

Im so jealous of you guys who live out there, what I would give to go to a game in the coliseum!

  • http://raiders.com Seymour Bush

Burris was working at the inside position in practice as well as both outside positions and I have always thought Curry would be better inside. McLame might be on his way out.
