Too bad the community doesn’t give the Raiders the Stadium they need to stay in Oakland.

————–

It’s the communities job to show support by buying tickets.

It’s the team’s job to put a decent product on the field so the community will continue to show support.

It’s then then teams job to take those profits and go build their own damn stadium if they need to. Threatening to go back to LA every 6 months is not the type of environment that fosters support for the community. This org had a waiting lidt 10 years long for tickets before the first move to LA. It’s up to them to regain our trust.

It certainly isnt the communities job to foot the bill for a new stadium.

++++++++++++

LMAO if you and others in Oakland think that is how the world works with new stadiums, then you might as well kiss the Raiders goodbye once again. The Viqueens are only paying just under 50% of the cost of their new $975 million dollar stadium. Broncos only paid about 32% of their stadium costs. Colts only about 14% of their stadium costs. Cards only about 33%.

So look for Oakland to have to pony up about 50-70% of the stadium costs….or the Raiders will be on the move.
------------------------------------------------------
Amen! If all of these small to medium size cities can come up with revenue to help fund these teams, I don't see why the city of Oakland can't come up with some of the money. If they think they are going to keep the Raiders in an old football/baseball stadium they are fooling themselves and the fans. Poor Management!!!.

===========================================

It is not like the City of Minneapolis paid for the other $600mm. That was paid for by a sales tax raise for the entire citizens of the State of Minnesota amongst other things. If you think that is going to happen in California, you are high. And I mean Rick James high. So, therefor the Raiders only chance of moving would be to Minnesota. Then we could have the Minneapolis Vikings and the St. Paul Raiders.

++++++++++++++++++++++

Well, since no billionaires are going to build an LA-type stadium in Oakland, and the Cali taxpayers are not going to help Oakland pay for a stadium, then you are conceding that the Raiders are as good as gone?

----------------

Possibly they could be gone. I dunno. I just think its a ludicrous system to ask for the tax payer to pay for a stadium that isnt really necessary.

If the Raiders want sell outs, just win baby.

If the Raiders want to profit from a new stadium, build it themselves.

It's a principle thing. Nothing more.

If the Davis family wants us to share the burden for their stadium, they should share their profits. Which we know will never happen.

The fact is, a new stadium would be nice, but it is far from necessary. A $70 seat is a $70 seat whether a new or old stadium. And just because the stadium is new doesnt guarantee more sell outs/profits in the long run. Winning and stability = sellouts = profits. It's quite simple.

They need to show some commitment to us. We've been more than gracious to them. I've bought more than my fair share of tickets to games where our team didnt show up.

If LA has a billionaire group that will privately fund a stadium build, that will be hard to compete with. If Oakland goes and co--finances a stadium to keep the Raiders in town, that is bad business if you ask me. Take that money and go rebuild some local businesses and schools. The Raiders are a private business within the NFL. The NFL should be footing the bill.

If the NFL and the Raiders think it will be wise to jump ship to a already proven poor fan base in LA, they got a rude awakening coming. If the same crap product is on the field in LA, then you will see even less fans in the stands. And its not like the Raiders will be more profitable. Revenue sharing prevents the Raiders from truly capitalizing on any media contract with the LA market.

So what is there to gain? A half empty but new stadium that Mark Davis doesnt have to pay for? A twice torn up fan base?

Why not commit to Oakland for a change Mark. Sign a long term deal. Put a winner on the field. And get the financing yourself (use the Raiders and Al's vast property holdings as leverage) and build your own damn stadium if you think it is so economically viable.

If its not viable, then stick with what you got. A 65k seat stadium that will sell out plenty and make Mark money if he puts a winner on the field.

Mistic1 your lost and your football IQ is so low that we cannot even have a credible debate.

Staubach Elway were elusive QB's that looked to throw the ball and were great escape artists when it came to avoiding the sack and yes even once and a while they might run for a first down. But that was only after they had looked off many WR's and realized it was their last option to keep the play alive

This is completely different than a running QB like Cunningham or Vick who if no one is open they look to run or a Cam Newton who will go through his reads then take off running.

This is elementary the fact that I have to explain this to you is embarrassing!
