An 85-yard drive culiminating in an 8-yard touchdown pass from Carson Palmer to Denarius Moore put the Raiders back in the game, temporarily replacing boos with cheers.
The Raiders got help in the form of a 37-yard pass inteference penalty on Rashean Mathis against Moore.
Jacksonville opened the quarter with a 28-yard punt return from Mike Spurlock that set up a field goal from Josh Scobee for a 20-6 lead.
The scoring drive seemed to light a fire under the Oakland defense.

While that point could possibly garner some merit if you look at it that way, but I can’t, I really don’t think they will see it that way. What they’ll realize is they squeaked by a bad team, with some help from the refs, and mostly their play calling was a failure til Palmer took charge with the no huddle. DA will know now that knapps system has to go and should be consulting Saunders very soon.

What they’ll realize is they squeaked by a bad team, with some help from the refs, and mostly their play calling was a failure til Palmer took charge with the no huddle. I know this is harping on a theme, but whether it’s the wrong personnel, wrong blocking scheme, wrong coaching, or whatever combination of these, this f’in o-line SUCKS. Fix it! If the o-line performed at even an half-a**ed level, this would be a decent football team.

I think our best bet is to start the beginning of the games with the no-huddle and then start the second half with it, if we are not gonna do it full-time.
It may be hard to do the no-huddle in Arrowhead with all the noise, Tom Flores was saying that the offense has to have its hand-signals ready in order to run the no-huddle.

I thought the third and ten pass to the endzone was a bad decesion by Palmer. The Raiders lucked out on the pass interference call on forth and ten. Palmer could have gained some yards to make it a manageable forth down. The team was in four down territory at that point, no way do you kick a FG at that stage of the game.

I think this is a win the defense can be very proud of. I also think this defense is legit. Huff has become a legit cornerand Mitchell even showed up today. The front7 is as stout as they come, I know many wont admit it but McClain did OK today eventhough he’s still not reacting as fast as he should. All he needs to do is play faster he makes the right reads he’s just slow doing it. Thinking way too much..
They need to get TJ going add some lightning to this rungame. DMC is making bad reads way too much. The play is there sometimes if he cuts back. Where the hell is Ausberry??

I dont want to hear any crap about a “win being a win”.
We still tried to lose that game.
That game didnt feel like a win. Just barely better than a loss.
All I can say is, build on it. Beat KC and we are just a game away from .500 and just a game away from a 3 game win streak.
After a 3 game win streak, anything is possible.
But our O-Line has to pull their heads out of there a55es. Meyers cant block. Briesel sucks. Palmer keeps getting killed. Veldheer is unrecognizable. Just plain pathetic.
I’ll watch next week. But only half heartedly like I did this week. This team is consistently inconsistent and it is beyond frustrating. It’s not scheme, its not playcalling, its not coaching. It’s execution. Im tired of watching guys drop balls that I would catch. Counting the preseason, I think we’ve dropped 6 TDs in the endzone to date. Just pathetic.

we dont have playmakers on either side of the ball. but winning a game like this is still a small step forward. our OL is real bad and we benefitted by injuries which is part of the nfl. in the end , lack of playmakers will hurt us this season but at least today we got a win.

I don’t see it priest. I see the running game which is supposed to be our strength playing at 2 yards per carry against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL.
We gotta change something. With the personnel there the “O” should be dominent (like top 7). It moves with effort, and rarely scores.

We played like trash the 1st 3 quarters then showed resiliency in the 4th and OT to win.. that’s all that matters.. we won the freaking game.. trolls can weep all the want and can say we’re lucky etc etc it won’t matter , we’re a team on the rise and i know we still need to make sum adjustments and i believe we will and will be one of the hottest teams in the end

Listen, okay. I can see both sides here.
A win is a win. Great that we won instead of lost! Dammmed great!
But, what I also see is that we were horrendous most of the game. And that the offensive (specifically the run game) needs to CHANGE SOMETHING – either the scheme or the person they’re handing the rock to. Because 2 yards per carry without a more creative passing game won’t get us wins.

674, Hue Jackson is GONE man, he’s not coming back. I’m so tired of hearing ppl on here crying about this sh!t. It’s week 7 of the 2012 season. Dennis Allen is our head coach, I liked Hue but he wasnt the great coaching genius some make him out to be. I agree the offense was better under the power scheme from last year, but damn man stop crying and enjoy today’s victory. Sh!t it’s like a broken fcking record in here sometimes.

we r 1 game out of first place, we have 2 very winnable games in front of us, we just had a comeback win where we were down 14 ,something the bad teams of the past never did. we have issues just like most nfl teams. but to me its time to be positive. if we become a 2-6 team then its different. but right now we are in it. i also have to think that some day dmac will break through. hes too good..

I don’t see it priest. I see the running game which is supposed to be our strength playing at 2 yards per carry against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL.
We gotta change something. With the personnel there the “O” should be dominent (like top 7). It moves with effort, and rarely scores.
If we wanna go anywhere this year we can’t keep trying the same thing over and over and hope for a different result. Einstein’s definition of stupidity.

Maverick, My point is if I have a choice between a great defnse or great offense. I’m always going with the defense because Offense w/bad defense is almost always a bad team. Great defense with so-so offense are hard teams to beat. The whiners went 13-3 that way we went 8-8 the other way. Offense will come man we have a ton of talent on O it’s just a matter of time. I couldn’t care less about what system as long as we have a QB to run it. But if this defense is legit you can go on a 6 game winning streak that’s how big of a difference it makes.
