  3. realtruraider Says:

    2 holer

  4. Just Fire Baby Says:

That all grass field looks nice.

  5. realtruraider Says:

    Kool, CJ1YPC scored a TD

  6. JB Says:

Is Curry playing today? Taking McCheese’s reps? Are we going to see a Curry, Burris, Wheeler line-up?

Wonder if McCheese has it figured out yet – his days are definitely numbered.

  7. realtruraider Says:

Tampa Bay beatin down the Saints.

  8. Albert Bigelow Paine Says:

    Chris Johnson blowing up today.

  9. Just Fire Baby Says:

Today will be a major “tell” into what the staff thinks of Slo’s future.

Really, Jax doesn’t have many weapons in the passing game like the Falcons do, so you could leave him in theory more so than last week.

And they will definitely try to run the ball more.

Alfred Morris, 6th round pick, looks beastly.

Why you don’t draft RB’s in the first round too often these days, and why D-Mac’s trade value is nowhere near as high as some people here want to think.

    =============

Fire, thats why you keep him and trade McCheezy!

I personally think Saints would make a good trade partner…they are deep in the back field with Sproles, Pierre and Ingram!

Straight up trade for Ingram…he’s the odd man out of the line up!

  11. Marks hair Says:

    Curry wont dress. Id think

  12. Just Fire Baby Says:

Cowboys, Panthers, Rams and Cardinals are 4 teams that are just slightly ahead of us in PPG.

Throw up some 17 and unders on their part, and us putting up 30 like I think, and we could move up a few spots.

  13. Just Fire Baby Says:

    Horrible pass Cam, absolutely horrible

  14. realtruraider Says:

    Que Mistic

  15. Just Fire Baby Says:

I think it may be time for Derek Anderson in Carolina.

  16. MiamiRaider78 Says:

    DMAC 135 yds 2 TDS

    :)

    He’s due.

  17. Marks hair Says:

    Jj watt.. sick

  18. Just Fire Baby Says:

In today’s biggest suprise so far, Bruce Campbell is actually active!!!

    Great job Lochness

  19. Albert Bigelow Paine Says:

So much for ‘Wave of the Future’, Cam Newton is the new Vince Young.

  20. Just Fire Baby Says:

    Ray,

Saints have a lot of backs, that aren’t all that great.

If they took McClain, they would want to give us the worst contract of the bunch, which might be Ingram.

  21. Albert Bigelow Paine Says:

Barksdale is holding up OK so far. He hasn’t given up a sack yet.

  22. MiamiRaider78 Says:

Ravens are being devestated by injuries.

  23. Albert Bigelow Paine Says:

Spoke too soon. Barksdale with the false start.

  24. realtruraider Says:

Big name RBs having great games today, DMC will keep this trend goin later today

  25. Just Fire Baby Says:

The most obvious difference between RGIII and Cam is footwork.

RGIII always looks smooth and stepping into his throws, while Cam is all contorted, tripping and throwing off his back foot.

  26. realtruraider Says:

They should of gave it to CJ

  27. MiamiRaider78 Says:

I really hope the penalty problem from last game, doesn’t rear it’s ugly head again. It’ll get me into conspiracy mode and that’s not fun when you’re intoxicated.

  28. Marks hair Says:

    Cowboys are so sloppy.

  29. Marks hair Says:

Cowgirls just lost there center.. ita all over for those chumps

  30. Just Fire Baby Says:

Not sure what the total was in Buff/Tenn but that is a battle of the 30th and 31st ranked defenses, and looks every part of it.

  31. Raider E Says:

Good to see Wimbley still making tackles 10 yds. down the field.

  32. Thec Says:

Barks looking solid so far at LT against matthews…

    Raids let one get away

  33. Marks hair Says:

    Fùcking cam.. killing my ff

  34. realtruraider Says:

    Murphy fightin for yards

  35. Marks hair Says:

No idea why we let barks go

  36. Raider E Says:

    Barksdale? Really?

  37. MiamiRaider78 Says:

Because Barks wasn’t fit for the ZBS? Smh

  38. Thec Says:

Barks looks better than veldhair at LT

  39. Raider E Says:

Did barks switch to the left side, Thec?

  40. Just Fire Baby Says:

Barks is a pretty aloof dude, maybe he rubbed people the wrong way here.

Because really, we cut him before even really trotting him on the field much.

But let’s not forget this preseason, when he was mostly dreadful.

  41. MiamiRaider78 Says:

Texans are man handling the Ravens. Less than 100 yds of total offense with 5 mins to go in the 2nd quarter.

  42. Raider E Says:

The Ravens and Saints games look alot more winnable than they did in the preseason.

  43. Thec Says:

Did barks switch to the left side, Thec?

    +++++++++

He is starting at LT for the rams…Looks damn good holding up the left side.

  44. Thec Says:

But let’s not forget this preseason, when he was mostly dreadful.

    +++++++++=

Yeah however, he is looking damn good against matthews…

So much for presea…Raids let go of a good one.

    He looks better than veldhair

  45. Raider E Says:

I’m gonna have to check that out, maybe we had him out of position. Thanks, Thec.

  46. Kiwi_Blade Says:

    Raiders 23
    Puzzicatts 14

    Moore & Streater should be #1 & #2 WR

  47. . Says:
  48. Just Fire Baby Says:

    He looks better than veldhair

    **********************

Let’s keep it a tad in perpective here, it has been one half at home.

  49. Raider E Says:

Guess it will have to wait until after halftime.

  50. . Says:
  51. . Says:

    Raiders 34
    Jaguars 10

  52. RaidingTexas Says:

Ugh. CBS just showed Atlanta’s comeback win as the Bridgestone Performance Moment of week 6.

  53. realtruraider Says:

Barks looked ok in preseason, the first game he didn’t look so good but other than that game he was ok, that other OT was the one getting beat most of the time

  54. Thec Says:

Let’s keep it a tad in perpective here, it has been one half at home.

    ++++++++

Sure, will wait and see if he pitches a shutout against matthews, then I will again say SO FAR he looks better than veldhair, regardless of where they are playing.

  55. Kiwi_Blade Says:

What I would like to see today:

    More points less penalties
    Throw the ball to Streater
Moore to stay on his feet and not keep tripping over his own feet and falling over.

  56. Raider E Says:

Tampa gave up that lead quick.

  57. Thec Says:

Barks was a ZBS casualty cut IMO…

  58. Just Fire Baby Says:

Joe Flacco has a QBR of 4.2 right now.

I am not sure I have ever seen one that low before.

  59. RaidingTexas Says:

Texans have ridiculously athletic players on both sides of the ball. Daniels making acrobatic catches. DLs batting passes left and right. And then that crazy INT on the batted ball. Unreal.

  60. Thec Says:

BTW, if ya want to put some coinage up, I will take the rams.

  61. Raider E Says:

Was it Hagan that took his spot, Thec. If so, I think we kinda had to do it at the time.

  62. Raider E Says:

Joe Flacco has a QBR of 4.2 right now.

I am not sure I have ever seen one that low before.

    —————————–

Russell Wilson had a QB rating of 0.0 in the 2nd half of Thursday nights game.

  63. Raider E Says:

Your gonna take the Rams at 4pts. down and kicking off the 2nd half?

  64. bigsnow81 Says:

Just wanted to holler at ya’ll and say enjoy the game. I like that Adrian Peterson has come back from that nasty injury and is still productive.

  65. bigsnow81 Says:

RGIII looks like the real deal and may be the better of the two quaterbacks taken in the draft.

  66. texguy Says:

    Raiders 27. Jags 18.

  67. Raider E Says:

That really is a sucker’s bet. No Offense.

  68. realtruraider Says:

  69. bigsnow81 Says:

I would like to see McFadden have a breakout game.

  70. Marks hair Says:

That really is a sucker’s bet. No Offense.

    +++++

None taken, trying to pull JFB’s chain.

  72. zopi Says:

This is not a must win game.
This is a you’d better win game, no more excuses or teary apologies.
This game has to be a big win, with plenty to spare, the defense comes up strong and shutouts Gabbert and MJD; the offense runs wild with a 200+ yards from DMac and Goodson, and no INTs from Palmer.

There’s no way the Raiders lose, right?

  73. MiamiRaider78 Says:

Lmao @ Jerry’s comment. The beauty of living in California, unlike Miami.

  74. Silverandblack666 Says:

“RGIII looks like the real deal and may be the better of the two quaterbacks taken in the draft.”

That’s because Shanahan has installed a hybrid of pro offense with the college offense RG111 ran last year.

Kind of like what the Bronco’s for Teblow last year that kind of gimmick stuff works for a little while but eventually teams catch on (see Cam Newton)

I personally think RG111 is too small and if he keeps on running he will take one too many hits and not last long I hope I am wrong because he is fun to watch.

    R.R,

You better hope Lebron doesn’t sign to the Lakers in 2014 because you’ll have to switch your favorite basketball team again.

    ***

hey man, if LBJ ever does that he’s DEAD to me!!

  76. Purvisman/Intrepid/ Full Disclosure Says:

Sowith no ‘D’ Baltimore got nothing? Cool.

  77. Raider E Says:

Watched many Raider games and they usually play to the level of their competition, no matter how bad it is.

  78. Just Fire Baby Says:

Damn I think I missed out on an opportunity getting a bite to eat!!!!

  79. Just Fire Baby Says:

Bills lost their LT, and boom Kam with a sack fumble.

I clown him a lot, but he does smell blood in the water.

  80. Just Fire Baby Says:

Uhhh….that would be a major whiff by Barksdale

  81. Marks hair Says:

    There goes mathews

  82. Just Fire Baby Says:

LOL, Thec did you see Barks on that run on 1st down after the penalty?

That was pretty comical. He didn’t even touch the DE and almost fell on his face.

Joe Barksdale’s 1st career start at LT comes vs GB and Clay Matthews today, talk about a tough task.
    *************************************************
Bob this is my whole issue with these coaches and GM. They cannot invest the time it takes to develope these players and cut them. They then go elsewhere and we pick up some bum who can’t play any better or even worse. And NO ONE has a problem with this because it’s not Al Davis. We spent a 3rd rnd pick on this kid like we did Kevin Boothe some years back and Cable just cut him and he’s been starting for the NYG and has won TWO SB rings with them. Joe Barksdale looks like a player but NNOOOO we need another guy who’s been CUT and he’s giving up sacks left and right. Why not develope the kid we HAVE!!!

    ++++++

Yesh, that was pretty bad…Looked lost in space

  85. Thec Says:

Barks still playing good so far.

  86. Priesttj12 Says:

The “Reggime” has wasted more talent in one season than most teams in 2-3 and we bring in trash to replace them. We have ONE rushing TD by DMC and MB prbably has FIVE if not more.

  87. Just Fire Baby Says:

Mike Bush has 3, and Goodson has almost as many yards from scrimmage as he does with massively less touches.

  88. Marks hair Says:

Dumb cuts happen when you make coaching changes all the time..

  89. Priesttj12 Says:

Thec– they neveer should’ve cut that kid for these characters we have now Brisiel is garbage and this Smith kid doesn’t look much better.

Someone please tell me again why we cut DVD???

Oh! I remember the great Coye Francies……..lol

  90. Raider E Says:

    Goodson>Bush

  91. realtruraider Says:

Its Barks first start, he will make some mistakes, but he looks alot better than most on here thought he would

  92. Just Fire Baby Says:

    DVD can’t play that’s why.

He hasn’t even played a defensive snap in Pittsburgh.

  93. Priesttj12 Says:

Sure he can’t and we have all these great corners we have to deal with…………..suckers!!

  94. realtruraider Says:

Has Francies played D for us yet? I don’t recall

  95. . Says:

This current staff and regime is frustrating. They shoulda improved what we had, instead of ruining it. They need to keep Mr Davis’ vision and improve on it, not wipe it out. This is Raider football, not some sterilized vanilla any other 31 club.

  96. Just Fire Baby Says:

Francois plays ST, just like DVD.

We released one crappy corner for another, not sure why the disdain for that.

  97. Priesttj12 Says:

Francies played and looked like crap………yet DVD aint good enough………..lol

    SUCKERS!!

  98. realtruraider Says:

Plus we have alot of injuries at CB, not sure about the Steelers injuries at CB

  99. Dan78 Says:

    Hopefully palmer lights it up

  100. Just Fire Baby Says:

Hey Stevie Brown with an INT.

I can’t believe Al Davis cut him!!!!

    AaahHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…..

    (LMAO)

  101. Priesttj12 Says:

DVD could at least cover Francies hasn’t helped at all. YOU know it but you can’t say it because then “The Reggime” doesn’t look so good.

  102. Thec Says:

    stevie brown with the int

  103. realtruraider Says:

Jones is inactive today, must be injured

  104. Just Fire Baby Says:

If DVD could cover, he would play.

    He can’t, so he doesn’t.

I will trust Mike Tomlin on this one.

  105. Thec Says:

Barks was a dumb azz hell cut if you ask me.

  106. Priesttj12 Says:

Truth is the vast majority of Reggie’s moves have looked like crap……….but we have some people in here he wouldn’t admit it if it killed them.

  107. realtruraider Says:

Yeah we weren’t the only team that cut him, I always thought he could play, but it took a team believing in him and givin him a chance, thats what alot of talented players need is a chance

  108. Priesttj12 Says:

Thec, it’s just like a lot of stuff he did but it aint popular to say so….

  109. Just Fire Baby Says:

Goodson for Bruce Campbell was highway robbery.

I am not impressed with him, or DA. He is trying to make us the packers however, we did not have the packers personel. The gnipp pickup is rather dumb.

  112. Plunketthead Says:

Bush got two of those TD’s in the first game in which Forte ran all over the place and MB punched it in from the one

  113. r8eray Says:

Another good trade partner for McCheezy would be the Ravens!

  114. Just Fire Baby Says:

    Taiwan inactive again.

What a waste of draft pick that was.

  115. 303Raider Says:

After we win today and all the problems we have had, we will be sitting 1 game back in the division.

I believe this teams best days are ahead of us. The team believes in DA, as we could all see their effort lat week.

Get on the bus, or off. This division is still there for the taking!!

  116. ChrisinNC Says:

I can’t remember the last team we actually kicked the crap out of a team we were better than. Might that change today? For once?

  117. Priesttj12 Says:

  122. RaidingTexas Says:

  123. Priesttj12 Says:

Sorry about the name callin’ man but this crap just pisses me off. Because I know better, Reggie just wants his guys and he’ll let this team suffer to do it.

Because he has all the sheep he needs to get away with it. You guys will blindly back this guy no matter what he does because his name isn’t Al Davis…………….period

  124. Thec Says:

DMAC is not a ZBS back. Should trade him.

  125. Just Fire Baby Says:

    Blindly back him??

    It has been 5 games!!!!

I gave Al 31 years and he failed me repeatedly. Can we at least give Reggie 31 games?

    stevie brown another int.

  127. Raider E Says:

I believe its his first game inactive this season, besides he hurt himself in practice this week.

  128. Just Fire Baby Says:

    Well, I am 31 years old, I don’t really count the ‘83 title when I was 2.

    Point remains the same.

  129. RaidingTexas Says:

Agreed, Thec. But for some reason, suggesting that is devil speak in most of Raider Nation.

  130. Thec Says:

We could have gotten something for barks…We got nathan

  131. Priesttj12 Says:

    Taiwan was hurt all year………lol

See what I mean, this cat has his head buried firmly up Reggie’s large rearend.

  132. Just Fire Baby Says:

    LOL!!!!

  133. ChrisinNC Says:

  134. Just Fire Baby Says:

    Taiwan was hurt all year………lol

    ***********************

Exactly my point, thanks for making it.

He can’t stay healthy, gets hurt in practice, and has been worthless so far.

  135. Raider E Says:

Dude, sometimes you got to do that. Look at the Cowboys after Jerry took over. The only real piece of that dynasty team that was leftover from the Schram/Landry era was a recently drafted Michael Irvin. The rest were Jerry’s and Jimmy’s boys. Give it time, man.

Besides, it looks like Reggie has found some nice pieces in Burris, Goodson and Wheeler.

  138. Just Fire Baby Says:

We traded Murphy, you know getting SOMETHING for him like you wanted to with Barks?

    ===================================

Hell no! Not when you run a team into the ground because you want “My guys”. “My Guys” and “My Way” is more important to Reggie than winning. This year shows this. You don’t take a 8-8 team with major playoff+ potential into this= FAIL

  141. RaidingTexas Says:

Ha, ChrisinNC! I didn’t even see your post about those three players while I was typing up mine. Some of us can see that Reggie just might have an eye for talent.

  142. Crimedog Says:

What the f is wrong with our evaluation of DBs? Release Sterling Moore and Stevie Brown who are now starting for Super Bowl contenders. I don’t get it – both showed signs of being players when they were here too.

  143. Priesttj12 Says:

Thec, it’s just one bad move after another. But that aint the sad part. the sad pafrt is there is NO ONE in place to check his hand. The owner gave him the store to do with it whatever he pleases……….and he knows it. Mark Davis will allow Reggie to bury this org. while he goes and buys computers and carpet.

I would love to know how Reggie thinks a team should be biult what is his phylosophy. Because I can’t see his plan it just seems like he’s hoping all his GB pickups will buy him time to figure it out. I don’t see a plan……….period

  144. Just Fire Baby Says:

I don’t think an 8-8 has turned around the next year and made the playoffs in two years.

Cardinals or Eagles might do it this year, we shall see.

  145. Raider E Says:

I liked Murphy too, but he has only caught like 8-9 balls this season and he doesnt even have 200 yrds.

An 8-8 team that was complete hot garbage down the stretch of the secon half o the season. That team should have been 5-11. Don’t know what games you were watching.

Because I can’t see his plan it just seems like he’s hoping all his GB pickups will buy him time to figure it out.

That was the plan. Murphy wouldn’t have been happy being #5 AND then Streater showed up as well.

  155. ChrisinNC Says:

And Michael Bush? He was a “backup”. And he showed that. Had like 2 yards a carry once he finally got the chance to start after DMac went down. Don’t get me wrong, he did a good job spelling a starter. But man, some of you act like he was the second coming of Barry Sanders.

  156. miles56 Says:

    LMURPHY another dumb cut.

    Surprised you would say that.

Criner made Murphy expendable, wouldn’t you say?

    ____________________________

Criner hasn’t shown up at all. Streater has done very little. Even Bey has been pretty lackluster so far this year. Moore is the only WR on our roster that really gives us something. Hagan is good as a possesion guy as well.

    It has been 5 games!!!!

I gave Al 31 years and he failed me repeatedly. Can we at least give Reggie 31 games?
    ===================================

Hell no! Not when you run a team into the ground because you want “My guys”. “My Guys” and “My Way” is more important to Reggie than winning. This year shows this. You don’t take a 8-8 team with major playoff+ potential into this= FAIL
    ——–

An 8-8 team that was complete hot garbage down the stretch of the secon half o the season. That team should have been 5-11. Don’t know what games you were watching.
    ===============================

Why do you make such a naive comment? You know the situation last year or don’t you? Starting QB and NFL leading rusher go down 8-8. It was not just some random 8-8.

  165. ChrisinNC Says:

RaidingTexas, people are just expecting the guy to be perfect. Which is perplexing to me, considering the guy before him did a ridiculously horrendous job at signing “talent” for the past decade. Constantly picking up well past their prime free agents who no other teams wanted to touch and signing track stars who clearly weren’t built for the NFL.

    Sometimes fans baffle me.

Listen I don’t want to kill Reggie I just wish he would give some of these kids the time to develope instead of just chucking them out for guys who are even worse. I think DVD has a chance to be very good. I also felt the same about Bruce Campbell and Barksdale. If you pay Bush you have one of the best running tandems in the NFL. Keep those two big athletic Olineman and you have a deep line with young players.

Our best corner is a guy Davis drafted to play safety because Reggie dumped the rest of them for some bums. Yet Chekwa is on the practice squad while we scrap GB’s garbage pale for more scrubs.

  169. ChrisinNC Says:

This game today will tell me a lot about the progress this new regime is making. Can we finally turn the corner and treat a lesser team like a lesser team?

That’s laughable. The defense couldn’t stop the Iowa Barnstormers and the offense stayed in the locker room for the second half eating pizza and playing xbox.

But keep telling yourself that was a playoff caliber team. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

    ++++++++++

Criner has been hurt. He is also handicapped by his OCO.

    CRINER
    REECE
    JONES
    Wizard

  172. RaidingTexas Says:

I know, ChrisinNC. Some fans won’t let go of the past. They still think Al had that draft magic and the vertical game is the way to go. I don’t get it. I think they smoke a little *too much* herb out west. It clouds their judgment. LOL

Cut the nonsense man. If JC and DMAC don’t go down Raiders would have went minimum 10-6. Yes the D sucked but anything could happen in the playoffs just look at the Giants who barely got in. So with the Raiders making in the playoffs Hue would still be the coach. Guaranteed the D would have improved and Raiders would be looking at another playoff run this year instead of this 1-4 crap.
