Gordon, Jones return to practice

Tight end Richard Gordon (hamstring) and running back Taiwan Jones (knee) returned to practice, placing the Raiders at near full strength heading into the Kansas City Chiefs game.
Gordon missed the past two games with an injury he suffered two days before Oakland’s game against the Denver Broncos. Jones got hurt in practice last week, and he didn’t play against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It appears as if both will be ready for the Chiefs this Sunday.
Right offensive tackle Khalif Barnes (groin) and cornerback Shawntae Spencer (foot) aren’t practicing once again. Coach Dennis Allen said Monday that both players are “doubtful” for the Chiefs game.
That means Willie Smith is slated to start in Barnes’ spot for the fifth straight game, with Michael Huff replacing Spencer for the fifth consecutive game, too.

– Linebacker Aaron Curry is practicing for the fourth straight time since he was removed from the physically unable to perform list.
It remain uncertain whether he will be activated for the Chiefs game, if at all before the Raiders are forced to decide whether to activate him to their 53-man roster, waive him or place him on season-ending injured reserve.
Allen said Monday that the Raiders don’t have any definitive plans on how they’re going to proceed right now. The focus is on seein how well Curry responds in his return from sore knees.
The Raiders have two more weeks before they are forced to make a move with Curry, though they can activate him at any time during the 21-day evaluation window.

– The six players who suffered injuries against the Jaguars are practicing today. That makes it likely that they will play against the Chiefs.
The six are: wide receiver Rod Streater (knee) defensive lineman Dave Tollefson (shoulder), linebacker Miles Burris (elbow), defensive end Desmond Bryant (elbow) linebacker Keenan Clayton (shoulder) and running back Mike Goodson (hip).

– The Raiders signed center Jason Slowey to their practice squad. In turn, they waived center Colin Miller to make room for Slowey.
Slowey was a sixth-round pick of the 49ers this year. The 49ers waived Slowey in reducing their roster to 75 players in late August.
Slowey is wearing No. 63.

I dont like to keep bringin up hue.. but i will one more time. D.A. has had help with reggie.. has had ota’s mini camps and still has a DMAC

Hue was basically by himself football operation wise once Al past. DMAC was done, JCaampbell went down. Ford missed alot of games especially at the end of season. DMOORE missed some time last year. Hue was still a rookie coach with no mini camp time cause there was a lockout.

still went 8-8 .. that lion game was wack but he still put up enough points to win the game.

    ok now im done

  • RaidersAllday_LtsGeTit

btw some of u guys were wondering about that 1pm start time at the chiefs. I was too. But then i read how GOODELL is looking into west coast teams concerns about playing east coast teams early like 10 am.

He is hoping to do something about it.

  • JLofty

No your not done. Some day maybe but not today.
Huge had some rookie mistakes too.
Didn’t he kick off twice in his first game as head coach?
I thought I was come totally delaminated watching that Jags game. The coaching in that game was mostly awful save maybe for Tarver. Everyone else coached like they were women’s basketball coaches…

  • JLofty

I’m not disagreeing on Goodell and the time zone thing but….
the game is @ 1pm cuz it’s the only late game:
    EARLY GAMES:

New England vs St. Louis (in London)
    Jim Nantz, Phil Simms

    Jacksonville @ Green Bay
    Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf

    Miami @ NY Jets
    Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts

    San Diego @ Cleveland
    Spero Dedes, Rich Gannon

    Indianapolis @ Tennessee
    Bill Macatee, Steve Tasker

    LATE GAMES:
    Oakland @ Kansas City
    Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcots

“btw when is the last time DMAC played against the chiefs in a full game??”

    - only ever happened on LA2theBay’s Madden

    ————-

I run a lot of power, pull a lot of guard, misdirection and so forth.

For some weird reason, DMAC gets results.

Good drinking game amongst Raider fans at a bar; whoever mentions Hue, buys shots. Lol

Giants and Cowboys also a late game.

  • Raider E

Those are all the CBS games, your missing the games on FOX

  • MiamiRaider78

Guess I got to watch the game online once again. When the Dolphins are on early, they somehow don’t show the second half of the doubleheader in Miami. Fml

Throw the deep “Routt” every play.

15 yard pentalty, or a facemask, holding, or a TD.
    ————–

Routt will most likely be on Moore the whole time. CP needs to throw to him all game.

  • RaidersOne

Reggie does seem to have talent taking prospects from lower round picks. Raiders’s first round picks traditionally have all been busts, #55 being the most recent.

I feel that Reggie should trade away our 1st and 3rd round picks (our 2nd round goes to the Bengals due to the CP trade) for multiple 4-7th round picks.

With 10 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks Reggie could find at least 4 starters, 4 second string potential starters, and 2 development players. We would then have a potential 8 starters in the fold.

If anyone thinks I am full of crap, then name one 1st rounder who stuck to the team and actually achieved greatness in the past 10 yrs.

  • Just Fire Baby

Kevin Harlan is awesome, prob my fav CBS broadcaster.

    “Right between the eyeeeees”

  • MiamiRaider78

We can’t really judge how Reggie’s first round draft picks have panned out, since yet to pick in that round. With that said, I wouldn’t mind trading down in the first rd, in order to receive more picks. The past is the past, let Reggie do his thing and I trust his skill to scout and draft players. Burris is a gem.

  • Raider E

who sticks to one team these days One?

    Janikowski, Nnamdi, Woodson

    Some to watch for:

    DHB, DMAC, Huff

More like 12 years, but its not as bad as your making it seem.

The Giants at +155 to win the Series is about as much value as can be.

Back up the brinks truck fella’s, that’s a winner!!!

  • Just Fire Baby

Delmon Young in LF, Cabrerra at 3B and Prince at 1B in SF???

LMAO!!!! Lots of bloopers going to be failing in, and Young has a Coco Crisp type arm in LF.

replace our crappy OL coach with Juan Castillo !!

  • JLofty

Raider E, I just mentioned the CBS games cuz they were the only ones relevent to the start time of an AFC game in the eastern time zone.
That and I mostly could care less about the Gants-Cowgirls game save for how many TDs Amahd Bradshaw scores…

  • Raider E

So, you think the Tigers are just gonna roll over for the gigantes huh?

I doubt that, but I guess it gret to be a fan lol.

    Brahs, had the craziest afternoon!

Was skateboarding around Venice beach high as Spicoli when these 3 MiLFs drinking chardonnay asked if I could help move a box into their apartment.

Turned out the box was full of Moet Chandon and I ended up riding the MiLFs around their living room like Wild Bill Hickok

The Beeech Lawg is exhausted and I think I dislocated my knee

Anyway, how’s your afternoon been? I could use a few good laughs

Chiefs are 3rd in the NFL in rushing. Take away the 9 of the 11 total int’s Cassel made, Chiefs are a very dangerous team.

  • http://www.Raiders.com KoolKell

I think Quinn is just the right type of QB, in the Right situation, to bum rush. Prioritize the QB pressure.

  • The Beeech Dawg

KrappyRat, you still blogging from Switzerland?

Man you must’ve put on some serious weight sitting around that apartment all day and night

Stack the box and rush the passer, Brady Quinn.

Routt’s burn rate is about to go sky high on sunday. Just keep throwing it deep on him all day, yellow flags will rain supreme.

  • boss01

There are already power blocking plays being called for dmac. Those aren’t working either. The problem is the O-line has stunk it up this year. Pollack is to blame for that. He needs to get the boot ASAP.

  • The Beeech Dawg

    Whoa Nerds

After pounding 3 smokin’ hot MiLFs and guzzling 2 whole bottles of Moet Chandon, I just took a STEAMING hot duece for the ages

Hot as in Caliente. Nearly burned the pubes on the bottom of my nads clean off

Seriously, it would’ve been more enjoyable to pour a bottle of Tapatio down my pee hole, whut whut

  • http://raiders.com Seymour Bush

The Cheats are having trouble stopping both the run and the pass. They are not passing the ball well either. Our run defense has seemingly improved, but as I have been saying now for a couple of weeks, looks like McClain will be back out there as we stay in our base package. That can’t be good.

  • raiderinparadise

Seemingly the Cheifs will look to blitz and take away the short stuff from CP3, this game he will have to hit some deep throws or find a working screen game to off-set the pass rush.

Obviously we can’t run the ball.
