Halftime: Raiders 13, Chiefs 6

Turnovers have plagued the Chiefs all season, and cost them dearly late in the first half when Javier Arenas muffed a punt, Jon Condo recovered, and Carson Palmer hit Denarius Moore for a 9-yard touchdown pass on third down with 49 seconds left in the half.

It had been a battle of field goals up until then _ two by Sebastian Janikowski and two by Ryan Succup.

Starting quarterback Brady Quinn left with a head injury, with much-maligned (in Kansas City) starter Matt Cassel taking over and providing a spark. Assuming Quinn can’t return, the Raiders are one big hit against the quarterback from making things very interesting. Chiefs No. 3 quarterback Ricky Stanzi is inactive.

Time to break out my Raider toaster and make me a plate of Stanford Routt.

    =========================================

    LOL!

  • Marks hair

    Theyre worse than jax

  • mcfadden20.

How does Routt still have a job after all these years getting toasted ?

  • raidertalk

Bizarro World–I just a white guy in a chiefs Sombrero!

  • Try Some Reality

Where are all the haters that said Routt would make us look bad this year? If you’re here…..FUK YOU! lol

  • Just Fire Baby

Our offense may be slightly worse than last year, but the D is massively better.

  • ChrisinNC

Curious to see how those folks who swear by last year’s offensive output respond to our point total today. Could make it awful close to last year’s average.

  • Plunketthead

lol the fat red a hole wearing a sombero is not as happy as he once was

  • Raider Riff

Drew Brees just had his man card revoked.

That is how DHB should be used, shorter slants and comebacks where he can break tackles then use his speed.

    ********************************************************

I posted last year that the Raiders should play him in the slot.

Too fast for linebackers, too physical for nickel corners. Plus, he catches the ball better when he doesn’t have to track it in the air. He’d be a matchup nightmare playing there, in my opinion.

I bet it was Palmer’s call to go after Routt today.

  • Guy

We were pretty much given 10 free points off turnovers right at their 20

Routt making Reggie look good today.

    ———————–

So many Reggie haters around here and on other sites (especially CBSSports). I don’t get it. Man what a great pick in Burris. Wheeler is looking good, too. And Goodson has been solid.

No reason to call out the new GM after less than one season of results are in.

  • morilla

    Jeez, Seymour is on fire.

  • mcfadden20.

    Need a 3 n out here

  • valleyflyin

DHB and Moore are great 2 or 3 recivers. They aren’t 1 recievers but we can win with them at 1 if our running game can get going.

  • https://twitter.com/Albert_B_Paine Albert Bigelow Paine

    I love this new defense!

  • J Hill

LUCKY Gio didn’t get a flag.

  • raidertalk

Since half of the AFC west is paying him, we might as well get our moneys worth from Routt

  • https://twitter.com/Albert_B_Paine Albert Bigelow Paine

Nice return. Let’s finish them off now!

    Has to be a flag

  • Just Fire Baby

We might hang 40 on them.

  • RaiderSam

Cassel kind of just scoots ahead and slides….he doesnt want to get hit – and the KC media said they had no idea who the back up would be…

    McClusker?

  • raiderkoolaid

Time to go for the knockout blow.

  • J Hill

Glad we didn’t over react and cut Adams, lol.

  • raidertalk

An actual positive play on Special Teamssssssss

  • valleyflyin

now we need another TD to put this game away.

  • MiamiRaider78

Time to put them to sleep.

  • Plunketthead

Adams with a beautiful fake out.

That return game is improving by the minute

Jax is much better then these guys

  • mcfadden20.

A TD here would put a nail on the coffin

  • C2E

came to play today. maybe we like the “dirty” accusations.

  • RaiderSam

Does a full season(including off-season) of Carson Palmer factor in to these scoring outputs? Or that DMC was lost after game 6 last season? YOu remember he was leading the NFL in rushing right? But hey Knapp has given us 23 points against the worst team in the NFL that is giving up 30. He must be better than Hue/Saunders.

  • https://twitter.com/Albert_B_Paine Albert Bigelow Paine

I predict a deep pass towards Routt.

Slot guys have to be EXCELLENT route runners. DHB doesnt have the whole rout tree perfected and the routs he does run are far from polished.

Yea, but I hold my breath every time he fields the ball.

  • mcfadden20.

I seriously don’t care if they want to keep running the ball now ..atleast get a Seabass fg here

  • MiamiRaider78

Guess I wont be beating up my dogs tonight. I have 3 dogs, one called Charger, Chief and Bronco. When the Raiders lose, I beat them instead of my wife.

  • RaidingTexas

That was a good view of the field there by CBS on the sideline incomplete pass. You could see just how bad the Raiders receivers are at getting open. Every single one of them.

  • Plunketthead

Wow was that play Knapps fault? I think that was a shoestring dmac had loose

  • https://twitter.com/Albert_B_Paine Albert Bigelow Paine

    That was a sad possession.
