Let’s cross our fingers.

It didn’t happen overnight friends, it was a painstaking process, created one delicate seam at a time over a lengthy time period.

That is what Reggie is doing; only Reggie is creating an intricate quilt which has many differing facets.

The end product may be quite grand indeed, but it will take a great deal of patience before we see the finished product.

Next season will be another throw away yr. for Reggie as he eliminates even more bad contracts and will again have limited draft picks in which to work with.

Yr. 3 of his regime should see a full compliment of picks and a little bit of money to spend on free agency. Yr. 4 is where the real “rebuild” begins.

It will take at least 3 seasons (i’m trying to be optimistic) before we see growth from the drafted players and free agents Reggie acquires. Yr. 7 should finally reveal some fruits of his labor, with steady growth we may just see a winning record by year 10. A few years of first or second round losses takes us to year 14…and with a dose of luck, and if divine providence should intervene, we may be looking at a playoff berth.

By year 15 if all goes as planned….a possible deep playoff run.

Give Reggie 10 yr’s. and like a fine quilt reveals superior craftsmanship, Reggies efforts will start to reveal the kind of growth we have waited patiently for.

Patience…yes patience friends…
