If carson doesnt start winning and avoiding the turnovers what will his legacy be?
he has lost every maningful game he has played for us, including the int ending our season last year.
Including the last two weeks that we needed to keep our season alive.
i dont think anyone outside of this board will care about yardage totals when all is sadi and done and we are once again elemanted from contention.
That didnt save jeff george, or kerry collins, and it wont save palmer.
win or your out, that is how the nfl works for aging vet qbs

What’s Wrong with the Raiders:
1) Too many check-cashing slugs on defense, particularly Seymour, Kelly and McClain.
2) Cruddy o-line coaching.
3) Mike Brisiel and Willie Smith.

What is the point of having TP on the roster if he is gonna be inactive every week? If Reggie & DA think so little of this guy then cut him loose. Why not give Taiwan a ton of carries yesterday. So what if he fumbles. It wouldn’t have changed the game. Reggie and DA wanna blame Al for being hamstrung, but that doesn’t ex[lain the pure lack of effort on Defense which is supposed to be DA’s thing. I think DA has completely lost the team and what little respect they had for him in the beginning is gone. Time to clean house again, but this time get rid of the overpaid, underachieving, overrated players like McClain, Kelly, Seymour, Briesel, Carlisle & Curry. Time to cut ties with Dmac and get somebody who can play 16 games.

I see that OLB Vic So’oto just hit the lottery. He was cut by Oakland to make room for either Curry or Bartell. He was picked up by the Packers active 53. As a refresher, he was the nephew of Junior Seau. If he had any of the Seau genes, he might have been a keeper in an area where we need help. Oh, I forgot. We’ve got Curry who went in on two plays yesterday and promptly had 2 15yd personal fouls. Good choice RM & DA. A 5150 is always a better choice than a family member of a HOF player.

We looked better on D when we ran press man coverage>What we need is an impact player on defense that has a “MOTOR”.Houston is a hustler no doubt,Wheeler needs to relax and just play,he’s been pressing since he got the green dot on his helmet.Giordano is not an NFL caliber starting safety,he is too slow to diagnose plays on the back end and he needs to deliver hits instead of coming up lame time after time. The touchdown to Smith was on Gio not Branch,he had the other deep half. What I see is that we dont have enuff guys with an understanding of the game, they are just big, fast, and strong with a peanut brain.Communicate gentlemen,Ed Reed was on the sideline hurt still communicating with his defense yellin ball on pass plays and all.The Ravens D line when they couldnt get to Carson they would pput their hands up,”HELLO”its a copy cat league gentlemen Kelly should know this already, hell they all should but he was the elder statesman yesterday on the D Line.Shaunessey is about as good as he’s going to get Tyler Brayton 2k12.As for Burris the jury is still out on him,he’s regressed the last 3 games.Let us see some 3-4 already so that we can decide what to do with McClain,Curry, his intentions are good but harness your emotions already my brother. The tight end killed us yesterday. He opened up everything else for Joe Flacco and that Ravens O.These defensive gurus we have coaching didnt make any adjustments.Just some observations from that side of the ball……

I’m watching Flacco just knife right through the D… Just before halftime
***************************
That was ridiculous. The 2nd play we blitz the safeties and they just throw it right where they were to some TE for like 30 yards.
WTF was that?? They went screen on the first play and took a little time, they weren’t necessarily going peddle to the medal for a TD.
We gave up to them.

That resounding thud you heard last night was the utter failure of Jason Campbell.
The highest paid backup QB in the NFL was brought in specifically to come in and be a capable QB for the Chicago Bears. There is no other conclusion to be drawn except that he failed miserably.
The turd Campbell left on the field may take several years to clean up.
His constant checkdowns spelled utter disaster in what can only be described as a game which will serve to define his weak legacy in the NFL.
After rushing to Chicago as quickly as possible so that he could carry a clipboard for Jay Cutler, we knew one day Campbell would have his opportunity to prove he was worth the ridiculous contract he signed with the Bears.
With Cutler injured in the 1st half, JC was called upon to do what he was brought to Chicago to do in the first place….win the ball game.
To avoid costly interceptions, JC opted to take the safe route which proved even more costly. Constant checkdowns and short, safe passes left the Bears short of the first down on many occasions. When he did dare throw any medium range passes, they were horribly overthrown, leaving a disgusted and frustrated Bears fan base wondering why the team would throw away such an exorbitant fortune on an obviously untalented and unprofessional backup.
On one skipped pass that came up short in a critical situation to Devin Hester, it left the entire football universe wondering if JC was indeed mentally unstable. It quite possibly was the worst pass ever thrown in a professional football game…or pee wee for that matter.
The entire world is now vomiting in the aftermath of the horrific, inexcusable display of ineptitude by Campbell and shock and disgust at the amount of money they wasted to bring him to Chicago.
3 pt’s in a key matchup on national Tv? Inexcusable and unforgivable.

On offense Knapp has issues,he wants Carson to fling it around everywhere like he’s the second coming of Brett Favre and he is with all these picks he throws @ the most critical of times.Throw the ball away sometimes the nation wont string you up by the balls because you live to fight another down.Brisel got paid all that money to come in and sack Carson and get flagged, flagged, and flagged again. We should have kept Wiz @ guard and Satele to be the anchor in all honesty he came on last year.Bruce Campbell couldnt do any worse than Smith the walking penalty flag.We could have gave Brisel’s 5 milli to Mike Bush and extended a structured his pay to not take a big salary hit.He is a more patient back than McFadden if you want to run this zbs bulls#$*.I personally prefer power because thats Raider ball to impose your will on the man across from you and beat him into submission.(Big Wisnewski was instilling that into our linemen and they came with this pity pat cutblocking guard pulling tackle shifting wanna be finesse garbage)thats probably why he high tailed it up outta here. The recievers drop to many easy catches and Myers even though he makes sum alright catches it doesnt over ride his blocking defencies, his catches arent catches like the Gates,Witten,Gonzales,Pitas the ones that make a Defense say dammit!!!!

What’s wrong is that were into a few years of rebuilding. The roster is stacked with average talent. I can’t see us competing for the AFC West for at least another season. I reckon Reggie Mac and DA will turn us around. I’d rather be rebuilding and setting a solid foundation than papering over the cracks.
November 12th, 2012 at 12:07 pm
Rebuild? Fine, but that doesn’t excuse the horrible regression of the team.
DA promised a team that would “get better everyday”.
In just over a half season of football we are seeing a Raider team that is getting worse….MUCH WORSE; specifically the defense.
DA is supposed to be a defensive minded HC. I’d hate to see where his mind is at the other part of the time, cuz if he is focused on making this defense better he is failing miserably.
You need talent no doubt about it, but this defense was “talented” enough to have credentialed writers and analysts talking about how the team is becoming “competent”.
So much for that.

Racial insanity is alive and well in this here US of A.
The Raiders continue to lose games under Palmer, (BTW11-24 the last 3 seasons), they’re good enough to beat JVille, KC, and Pitt, but obviously find the way to lose against the better teams in the league.
Neither one of the team leaders, from BigMac Junior, Carcass, Big Rich has stepped out to take charge and make the team compete at the expected level. All we get from the post conferences is the same robotic bs we’ve have gotten accustomed to for what seems forever now. Of course is ridiculous to blame 55 points on Carcass, but he is not the upgrade nor the solution to make this team a winner, the trade from the very get go was wrong and made out of desperation.
LoNeal said in the Raiders post game the team was not only outplayed and out-coached, but was also outclassed. Who does LoNeal work for? A lot has been said about the new changes in the team, but getting outclassed by the Ravens? LoNeal also said that the team needs to bring in winners, because winning is contagious in some mysterious way, losing is also contagious. So, when LoNeal is talking about bringing winners, where does the team begin? Who goes and stays?

The coaching staff shows no emotion, all allen does is walk back and forth with that stupid grimmace on his face, maybe he is a good coach, but he’s not a coach to be coaching the Raiders. We hada decent staff last year minus Breshnahan.Wauffle was a good D line coach for sure we just needed a space eater @ the DT position Big jon was running on fumes and his knees were balky ie Richard Seymore this year, but Rich is holding his own to a certain degree.he’s not quitting he’s old in football years and his body cant consistently do what his mind is telling it to do.An older individual would be able to relate to this.Hue wasnt the greatest coach in the world but he brought moxy to the table that had a Raider mystique to it.Would have loved to see what he could do in his second year and a training camp up under his belt.He did get a little out of control after Al passed away beacuse he didnt have any superiors to answer to as to why he faked a field goal, why he went for it on fouth an 1 he had a lot on his plate after our leader went home.!thing i can say for sure is that it was exciting, had me looking forward to Sundays, but now its back to O well here we go again….

I hope one day he realizes that Doug Williams was a pocket passer not a running “athletic” QB like the ones Mystic1 drools over.
===================
actaully willaims was a mobile qb, by the time he played for the redskins he was old and could no longer move like he used to
please show me where i claimed
‘that the white man has a conspiracy that keeps black QB’s from winning Super Bowls.”
dont lie on me its weak’

Like Palmer Doug Williams is a class act. I just hope Carson gets a ring with the Raiders one day.

I wish it was just the Qb…. But it’s not..

I doubt Palmer is excited to be a raider at this point, they fired the coach that brought him here, hire a bun OC ,and lose all the momentum they had built up from last year, and put him into a scheme that doesnt fit him his oline or rb. And this is a guy who wanted out of cin because he didnt feel the org was going in the right direction, I can imagine how he feels now, even though he will just toe the company line.

Palmer is a class act…. Glad we have him…. But wish we had a better team to go around him ..

When you hear Phil Simms or Dan Fouts or Kurt Warner talk about how great of a job Palmer is doing this year under these circumstances it makes sense….But then I read Mystic1 post and I get confused and I just don’t know who to believe guys can you help me out here?

Momentum from last year… lol… yeah the momentum we built up by finishing 1-4.
November 12th, 2012 at 12:35 pm
I haven’t heard Palmer throw anyone under the Bus…

Hue Jackson gave us zero momentum last season. I am glad he was fired. I’d rather have the Cable Guy than Jackson. Besides Reggie Mac was always going to bring in his guy. By the time next year we may know if DA is the right guy.

I keep hearing rebuild we’re losing because its a rebuilding season, ok … tell that to the colts who lost their star center in jeff saturday, star tight end in dallas clark, star recievers in pierre garcon and austin collie, lead back in joseph addai, hall of fame qb peyton manning, their head coach, and gm in bill polian… not only did they lose all that but they lost over 12 games last year and they’re in play off contention. So dont give us that its a rebuild year bs raiderduck, mcf20 and etc… Because we haven’t lost nearly as much as a team and we were more competitive last year. The problem is we made the wrong moves hiring McKenzie and Dennis allen. Thats the problem… period. That rebuild crap is an excuse and a sorry 1 at that.

You make it sound so simple. Truth is the Raiders have been bad for most of the last 20 years. We need a rebuild and some more.
November 12th, 2012 at 1:03 pm
It is that simple, we have players, Dmac, Palmer, Moore, heyward Bey, Reece, Myers, kelly, seymour, huff, branch, shaughnessy, and a few others are all capable players. We’re not an expansion team we are an legit nfl football team but you cant just have talented players you need an organiztion who knows the talent they have and how to maximize off of their abilities. DA doesnt make players better and doesnt know how to maximize off of the talent he has and that much is evident through how much our star players have regressed under his watch and his willingness to stick with the zone scheme even after seeing its ineffective.

And another thing that proves its coaching, is how we’re always in the game until half time and how after halftime is where we suddenly fall apart… every game and it never fails. Thats halftime adjustment folks… who’s responsible for that? THE HEAD COACH. He gets out coached every half. Hes a Dc who is proving hes not ready to be a hc. Im sorry but he’s just not the answer.
November 12th, 2012 at 1:22 pm
Well we’ll see. Too early in my book to cast aside DA. We can’t turn back the clock and re-install Jackson and if we could I’d want Tom Flores or John Madden back

I watched the “Americas Game” video on the 76 Raiders and it was interesting that the team was just as heavily penalized as recent ones and still went 13-1.
They also won very close games..hardly any blowouts.
I mention that for the folks that say the close games we won last yr. “don’t count cuz they could’ve gone either way”.
Interesting too that while they may have been one of the most penalized teams in 76 we were actually saved by the Sugar Ray Hamilton blow to the head against New England in the 1st rd. that yr.
BYW..It WAS a penalty…a blow to the head is a blow to the head and they called it back then too.
Plus…it was only 3rd down. If the penalty wasn’t called Stabler still had another shot regardless.
You wanna bet against Stabler in the 4th quarter?

On NFLN last night they had the show “Top Ten Home Field Advantages” and I was kind of shocked to see the Coliseum came in at # 4…ahead of Seattle AND Arrowhead for instance.
The big reason was not only the ‘Black Hole’ crowd but our 14-3 home playoff record there.
Still, i was surprised we came in that high given our record there the last what…20 yr’s.?
