Raiders doing their part to fight hunger

The Oakland Raiders are partnering with the Alameda County Community Food Bank to help their neighbors in need as the region braces for a spike in need during the winter and holiday season.
Staff and families of the Raiders organization are sorting, screening, boxing and shelving food items in preparation for the busy holiday season in the Food Bank’s main warehouse in Oakland today, a week prior to Thanksgiving.
In addition, a number of Raiders players will spend their lone day off during the week—the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving— visiting the food bank and assisting in the preparation of food items.
Fans are encouraged to support the Food Bank’s hunger relief efforts this Sunday before the Raiders-Saints game at the Coliseum by visiting their booth in Raiderville from 8:30 am – noon.
Fans are asked to make a monetary donation or donations of healthy non-perishable food items, such as canned meats and vegetables, pasta and sauce, peanut butter and low-sugar cereals. All proceeds go directly to the Food Bank’s hunger relief efforts.
Since 1985, the Alameda County Community Food Bank has been at the forefront of hunger-relief efforts in the Bay Area. This year the Food Bank will distribute 24 million pounds of food, more than half farm-fresh produce. The Food Bank serves one in six Alameda County residents by distributing food through a network of 275 food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community organizations.

My view is that Israel isn’t aggressive enough.
You put a crazy Jew like me in charge and there would be little or no consideration to limiting ‘collateral’ damage.
I don’t care if it’s throwing rocks, firing mortars, launching rockets or missiles, or suicide bombers.
Every act of violence would be responded to without regard to keeping it proportional or any concern about what ‘the world’ thinks.
No other country would even consider continually absorbing attacks on it’s people and it’s sovereign territory, nor would any country be expected to.
That expectation is seemingly reserved for Israel only.
I’d put a swift end to that and am amazed that Israel even plays that game for a moment.

It was a thoughtful idea at the time, nevermind who was currently living there. Then again, the ’stinians lost the subsequent war with significant backing, so the argument that Israel had ALL the support isn’t true, though it would be more so now.
It went from trying give displaced peoples a home (with other, less benevolent reasons) to a strategic US outpost in an area of significant interest.

Decided I’d drop in from Lurkerville to say thanks for all the entertainment the last few days!
Until a few months ago, I was simply reading the Raider news items at CNN/SI. Then, one day, I started following your blog posts. I must that it’s been fun so far.
I’ve been following the Raiders from the Right Coast since I was little. While I’m not a fanatic like some of you CA folk are, I still enjoy following the Raiders. We don’t get to see them on TV very often in this area unless they’re visiting Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, or Baltimore. Last week’s game was sure a let-down.
I just wanted to say I enjoy all your Raider-related posts. Please keep up the good work!
I do want to send a special shout-out to the Beeech Dawg. Man, you’re an amusing guy! The last few days I’ve been having the blues due to a health issue and your posts have had me cracking up. Although I wish you’d give up on the defacation material, you’re at your best when responding to others’ posts. i think the major confusion is caused by mixing the term jewish with race, and the same can be said for mixing nationality and race.
Jewish is a faith not a race and what you find in history is white jews have indeed been persecuted by other white nations. The turks were white, the jews that are invading Palestine today are also white.
The original jews (blacks) were long since removed from the area and nearly wiped out of the written history all together.
Conflicts between arabs and whites is nothing new, and hiding behind religion and so called gifted parcells of land is not a valid reason for murder.
