End 3rd qtr: Saints 35, Raiders 10

The Saints scored on a 27-yard run by Mark Ingram and a 15-yard pass from Drew Brees to Lance Moore, with the Raiders countering with a 40-yard Sebastian Janikowski field goal.

For the season, the Raiders have been outscored 123-34 in the third quarter.

New Orleans built on the momentum it had on Brees’ late 38-yard touchdown pass in the first half as Traveris Cadet returned the opening second-half kickoff 75 yards immediately preceding Ingram’s touchdown run. New Orleans had a touchdown within 17 seconds of the thrird quarter.

oakalnd opens the fourth quarter with a fourth-and-1 at the New Orleans 40. Marcel Reece has 96 yards on 17 carries.

Mark Davis is unhappy because that string of sellouts cause by the Hue Jackson resurgence is gone. Hue had injected hope in the fan base and it lingered until now. Next home game expect 40K.

Mark Davis is a moron. Who in their right mind would think a rookie GM and coach would be the proper formula for advancement.

Twocents, One thing you will learn from this entire process is bad coaching can make good players look bad. As when great coahcing can make average players look good. The talent in the NFL is very even and most bad teams beat themselves much more than good teams actually beat them. In most games if you execute and don’t make any mistakes you can win 8-10 games. It’s the mistakes that beat teams more than talent separation.

I know this makes no sense to you but bring in a greta coach and he can get 10 wins out of this team……yes this team because he’ll use them differently……………period

Desmond Bryant almost makes as much in a season as TK makes half a year, and Bryant has 5 tackles, 2 assisted, 1 PD, 1 QB hit and at least an inkling of some passion.

TK??? 1 assisted tackle. Goose eggs across the rest of the board.

I love the hypocrisy of you lefty, Hue went 8-8 as a rookie HC, DA wont come close to that but DA deserves another year but Hue didnt.

This teams see’s certain oppents on the schedule and chalk it up as a loss before the opening kickoff. Thats on the Head Coach. The team is being blown out virtually every 3rd quarter of every game thats on the coaching staff. Morons celebrating while stilll losing big, thats also on the entire coaching staff and team in general. Any fool celebrating while getting their ars kicked should be biotch slapped by a teammate. Bonehead penalties, should get a guy benched. Retaining guys you have NO plan of playing no matter what falls on the GM.

reece is signed for 2013 at 1miilion..good deal..good job by either reggie or his brother,. not sure whose turn it was to show up at work that day

The only way Gruden leaves his gig to come to Oakland is if he gets partial ownership in the team.

His salary was 4.3 million this year at ESPN. He’s probably due a raise. He probably gets to wake up in sweat pants at 10am 5 days a week.

He ain’t leaving to coach a last placed team. Get a hold of yourselves!!!!

  • mcthompso

very few on this roster need to be locked up long time for sure…Reece is about the only definite that I see.

The guy I want to see more of is Ausberry. Not even looking for him to be huge contributor…just get game reps so that he can be a contributor starting next year.

Random thought: one of my favorite players on a rival team has to be Danario Alexander from SD. I have been loving watching him play the past few weeks. Too bad he plays on the Chargers, so I can’t completely sell out on liking him.

Gruden said he wanted to come back to coaching. One thing about Gruden he has always had a hard on for the RAiders. Even when he came back to Rickeys a few yrs ago.. fans showed him luv anywhere he went.

I have been saying Mark should let him come be part owner in the team. Become team president.. and be one of Reggies bosses if he doesnt want to coach. Mark open up the check book. This is the RAIDERS were talking about. Not some crap organization like the Jags

Set aside all regression, the week we have all been waiting for is up, the should have bowl.
OK, so Campbell and Bush are in the hood, and next week Palmer is going back “home” to meet Hue.
So, looks like 99% in the blog believe and swear on Palmer as an upgrade over Campbell. I wonder what the % is in Cincy, Dalton vs Palmer, how many bungle fans would prefer Carson over Andy?
Looks like the blog is getting 50-50 Junior-Hue, the tie-braker next Sunday.

Different players respond to different coaches.

That’s why damn near every coach gets at least two years with his team in some capacity (like Hue did).

How the team is finishing at the end of the 2nd year determines if they stay or not. Hue went 1-4 down the stretch, got canned.

Same will happen to DA at the end of next year if he does the same, 4 year “contract” and all.
