Drew Brees threw a 38-yard touchdown pass to Lance Moore on third-and-13 with 48 seconds left in the half to put New Orleans up by 14 at halftime.
The drive came after the Raiders had drive 81 yards for a score, with Carson Palmer hitting Brandon Myers with a 1-yard pass, to cut the margin to 14-7.
Palmer has two interceptions _ one which went for a 55-yard touchdown to Malcolm Jenkins, the other a ball that bounced off Myers’ hands for an interception in the end zone.
Marcel Reece is keeping things interesting for the Raiders, rushing for more than 50 yards at halftime and catching a 56-yard pass from Palmer on the lone scoring drive.

Tarver was more the “only guy left” option anyhow. Remember reading DA was getting rejected for interview requests for assistants around the league.

Takes all the thinking and diagnosing out of it. Just play your man.

How could he be stride for stride with him when he wasn’t even looking at him? His eyes were in the backfield until it was too late. He had the cushion he needed, he just gave it up. That’s not on Mitchell just because he came into the picture on your TV set. But again, kudos to Brees for buying the time it took for Moore to make his move against the blitz and making a dime throw knowing he was going to get blasted.

My point is this, the Raiders employing the mix (zone and man) is asinine.
They have players that are molded for the man scheme. Look what happens when they go into zone. Horrendous and pathetic.
Haynes, Hayes, Brown, Woodson (Woodson in particular) are my favorite Raiders. My comment was not a slap in the face to those players.

I have watched every one of our games this year. I have seen plenty of Saints and read about them and hear the locals assessment of the Saints.
I can without a doubt assure you guys that the Saints are not that good. But we ARE that bad. Period!
I’m ready to talk draft. We should lose the rest of our games. And do not call me a fair-weather fan. I am Raiders to the marrow which is why I want us to pick as high as possible and get a franchise player or two.

I blame ownership, present and past. This is a coaching and talent issue.
Hue was doing fine, the coke head Mark Davis’s ego got the best of him and he wanted HueJax out.
I don’t blame Reggie. I do not like Knapp like most of you, DA is in way over his head and if he was shown the door at the end of the year, I wouldn’t care but Reggie and DA will be here for a few years…..

I believe that is part of it along with trading For Carson, years of horrible draft picks, a rookie head coach, defensive coach, and GM.
We all should not be surprised by this garbage even though we all knew if Hue got a defensive coordinator things would be different.
