Previewing today’s Raiders-Saints game

By Jon Becker
Sunday, November 18th, 2012 at 10:15 am in Oakland Raiders.

After giving up more than 40 points in consecutive weeks for the first time in 50 years, the reeling Raiders are desperate for a victory Sunday as they host the high-powered Saints.

Here’s a look at what analysts, players and fans are saying about this afternoon’s game:

100% chance that Knapp is not our OC in two years.

I’ll take the action, without a shadow of concern of losing.
    ==============================================
Can we get some side action on Krapp ?

What kind of odds you need that he ain’t OC in 2 years either ?

    =========

If Tits insists that he stay on as OC, then Mark needs to take control and place a call to the Stanford Athletic Dept.(not that he shouldn’t already)

    *****************************

    I’ll need better than 2 to 1, maybe +325.

But I will take even money he is calling plays week 1 of 2013.

BTW, how about the Lobo’s yesterday? A whole game without completing a pass, and only two attempts?

    Awesome!!!

good ol chaz.s showing up late in the season for a t.d. just in time to stay on a team and continue to collect checks and the jets will think they found something.

Raiders might have no chance against the Browns. They are kicking the Cowboys ass today.

Yeah, but why the hell do we have that game televised in Chi.?

  • Just Fire Baby

Yeah this staff likes to impose double standards and crap retread players over young guys that haven’t had a chance to develop.

    **************************

Curious of the double-standard as far as players that didn’t show up to the OTA’s.

He didn’t show up to practice, there is no double standard even applicable to that.

Reggie da and krapp cut the balls off of this team..

DA’s mind numbing cliche’s in his pregame speeches confused their brains.

“Guys..just go out there today and do the things that we need to do that might put you in a better position where you might have the opportunity to be in a positon to be successful”.

Phillip Adams, Mike Goodson…Taiwann Jones…figure that one out.

I have a feeling Mcjogger will have a pep his step, due to the proverbial monkey being off of his back. I could be slightly intoxicated already

Not ruining my Sunday, Raiders! Not today!

  • MaddenRaiderisadouchebag

Is it just me or is the real reason the Queefs are so bad is because of their trade for Cassel? Overall, they have some good players, it’s just that Pioli’s move for “his guy” may be his downfall…Crennel isn’t a head coach either.

Ok. It’s been fun guys. I have to go shoot myself.

  • Just Fire Baby

Phillip Adams, Mike Goodson…Taiwann Jones…figure that one out.

    **********************

I get Adams, but what’s with the other two?

Goodson is averaging like 10 yards a touch this season, and Taiwan stinks.

  • Marks hair

I I have a feeling that slo will take a sharp left into the guard instead of taking a clean shot at ivory, allowing another long run.

  • Just Fire Baby

What a terrible call by Reid to run the ball at his 10 yard line with 30 seconds left.

Blatant stat-padding like that deserves a fumble.

  • MaddenRaiderisadouchebag

Goodson fumbled the ball all season, and he kept playing. Taiwan drops the kickoff, he doesn’t handle a bad pitch by Marcel(who didn’t get PT until week 7) and gets blamed for it. Then, on 4th & 15 he doesn’t make something happen on a fake punt where he needed to run 15 yards with a guy draped on him. Brilliant call there.

And yet, the coaches said he didn’t get PT due to his shoulder injury, yet he was our gunner on our ST’s…But hey take this staff a face value

Why should today be any different.

It would seem that karma owes us a visit sometime. You know, like so much bad stuff happens that every once in a while something good actually occurs?

It seems like it’s way too much to ask with these guys.

It’s almost like they devise new and inventive ways to make my sports life miserable.

Slo’s pirouette right past Martin on his first TD run in the TB game told me all I need to know about him. That was laughably, embarrassingly bad. I’ve never seen a MLB, or any LB for that matter, get “ole’d” like that.

Good question. I guess the other options aren’t so good. It looks like Jets vs. Rams, Bengals vs Chiefs, or Jags and Houston.

see, who said our players aren’t talented? they have just enough talent to stay on the raiders for several years then fool another team into thinking they are good. Now that takes talent, check cashing talent.

    Let me get this straight.

Taiwan is an injury prone fumble machine, but Goodson isn’t ?

    Pfffft.

The Taimonster is going to shut some yappers after Krappy surprisingly gives him some touches today.

    Taimania !

The league should ban the icing the kicker call. It’s getting annoying.

McClain probably paid off the guy in Alabama thinking “It’s ok…i’ve got another big pay day comin’”

    Hahaha. Dream on buddy.

  • MiamiRaider78

I don’t understand why we aren’t in a 2 minute offense the whole game, when we have one of the highest scoring percentages in the NFL with under 2 minutes left in the first half.

I’m an Al Davis fan 1st & foremost. While we don’t disagree with some questionable decisions the past 10 season, it doesn’t rid all the good he did in my mind. Plus, he had us setup better than previous years.

Now, having said that, I wished HE would have hand picked his GM.

    Also, I greatly miss him.
