Football is an emotional game. This team has no personality and emotion because Dennis Allen is dry as burnt toast. You got a geek that looks like Pee Wee Herman trying to coach the Raiders!! Come on man!! Both of his coordinators has no personality or emotion just like him. At least former Raider coaches like Jon Gruden,Hue Jackson and Tom Cable had some freaking fire.

if tim tebow got a shot,

there is no justification for not giving pryor his shot
=============================================

Yeah, but those are completely different circumstances.

==============

that is beside the point that i am making.

your comment that he ‘wasnt ready” to be an nfl qb because of mechanics and so on should be thrown out.

tebow had more questions that anyone i can remember yet he is on the feild leading a playoff run last year.

if tebow can have a chance pryor should too. the questions around pryor are nearly as drastic

>> Damn you favor black Qbs with a vengeance don't you? if the Qb is black he has to play right? best Qb gets to play and that's not pryor.

This pathetic coaching staff are ill-suited to help develop TP. They are unequipped to develop or properly utilize the talented players they have.The guys running the raiders are not coaches, or talented former players who can teach. Instead they are a group of friends from the useless good ole boy network.

TP gets zero playing time, exposer and probably super limited practice rep, while proven loser/bust Matt Lienart, gets the reps and exposure

As for McKenzie, I'm really beginning to believe he too is a moron. Why did/does he release NFL quality players when he has no suitable replacements. I understand releasing a guy when there is someone better available. However releasing Al davis guys to bring in your own guys (rejects) is ridiculous. Barksdale released so the team gets stuck with Willie Smith (the leagues worse lineman). Cut Curry, who's the difference maker taking his place ?

Another part of the Draft is the DEVELOPMENT of these players. IMO, if anyone actually reaches their potential under these circumstances of the last while it's because of themselves/sheer will/natural talent.

Imagine you were drafted in "Lance's" first year? Gee, that wasn't turbulent at all. Then Cable for almost 2 full seasons, then Hue for a season, endless coordinators, schemes, the Owner is a de facto DC, now he's dead. Before he died, if you didn't like your coach or how you were being treated, just go cry to him. What a gong show.

I would find it extremely entertaining and laughable if it were anyone but the Raiders. (*As an aside, John Herreira wanting to throw down with Tim Kawakami at that Presser a few years ago has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen!)

But just to illustrate a point. I'm not defending him or saying the Raiders ruined him at all. I think he was lazy with a false sense of entitlement. But if the Raiders had a strong organization with quality people, maybe JaMarcus would have been handled differently and wouldn't have ended up being such a disgrace?

Maybe the same thing to a lesser degree has happened to McClain? Don't know if it can be fixed with him being a Raider or if it's best he move on?

I love reading all the other bloggers and the debate between if it's coaching and/or personnel that is lacking? I think it's really hard to pin it down because the turnover is so high for both.

I really believe that some consistency will bring stability and the REAL culprits can start to be identified and let go.

The hard part is at this point is having faith in the people chosen when there aren't instant results/or signs of progress. Outside of Chucky's reign, it's coming up on 20 years of wandering aimlessly and we've all had enough of it. What's even more demoralizing is that with the way this season has gone, it looks like it'll get worse before it gets better.....again.

Do yourselves a favor and watch some tape of Pryor throwing the ball at Ohio St. You can youtube it. Then come back and talk about comparing him to Kaepernick, Newton, Griffith and Freeman.

I’d say he’s a better threat on the run than all those guys including Newton. He runs like a gazelle with his long stride and nifty moves but he throws a wobbly, inaccurate ball from what i’ve seen.

I don’t say this cuz I don’t like him.
===========================================
I happen to think you’re right about TP.

I haven’t seen evidence that he throws well enough to be a very successful NFL QB.

In fact, the evidence indicates just the opposite, as you point out, DJ.

Still, there’s only one way to find out for sure.

You put some plays and packages in for TP and ease him in.

You try to prep him and have him ready if Palmer goes down.

You do NOT have him inactive every week and have Matt Lice as the next man up, in a season that clearly is going nowhere.

You take a look. You try to develop.

For crying out loud, you’ve got absolutely nothing to lose.

Complete incompetence and UDDER FAILURE.

Across the board.

**************************************
   When is this crap ever going to stop?

   I read the same crap about Cam and Kaepernick B4 they were drafted.....yet Matt Leinart/Alex Smith is allowed to look like crap passing the football. Terrelle Pryor is twice the passer Alex Smith is and 10x's the competitor. I said 2 weeks ago that Kaepernick was in thr process of stealing Smith's job and everyoe in here laughed. None of you will admit that now.

   The only difference between Kaepernick and Pryor is Pryor is faster and may be even more accurate. Kappy's delivery is elongated and slow and he has a hard time taking somegthing off his passes he zips everything. Pryor throws with a lot more touch on short passes. But if I had a chance between the two I'd Pryor he just is all-around a better player.

    I told every Niner fan I know that Smith time as a starter was in peril the moment they drafted Kapernick everybody said he's just a runner. Smith is booboo always has been yet there are Niner fans who would rather have him because he looks the part.

     That is the same stupidity taking place now in Oakland matt Leinart looks the part but in actuality he can't carry Pryor's jock. Unfortunately the OC likes Leinart.

     I'm watching a rookie outplay a seasoned vet RGIII is dominating Dallas yes the same RGIII everyone in here said wouldn't make it at this level. You know what comes to mind everytime I read this crap. I'm not even sure it's worth saying..........but it is unmistakable.

     I'm telling you all now Palmer will have a very hard time keeping Pryor on the bench come next fall. Just you watch.....all he needs is another offseason and preseason just like I told Greg Knapp. Who quite frankly agreed somewhat reluctantly.

I'll bet u Mark is thinking the same thing Raiderman. Dad picked up TP in the 3rd round and i'm sure he'd like to see what he can do.

It's tempting to have hope for TP when u see these other young, athletic guys like Kapernick do what he's doing and you start to think "Hmmmm, maybe we have one of those too".

===========================================
I happen to think you're right about TP.

I haven't seen evidence that he throws well enough to be a very successful NFL QB.

In fact, the evidence indicates just the opposite, as you point out, DJ.

Still, there's only one way to find out for sure.

You put some plays and packages in for TP and ease him in.

You try to prep him and have him ready if Palmer goes down.

You do NOT have him inactive every week and have Matt Lice as the next man up, in a season that clearly is going nowhere.

You take a look. You try to develop.

For crying out loud, you've got absolutely nothing to lose.

Complete incompetence and UDDER FAILURE.

Across the board.
