I don’t expect SB or even playoffs (of course) this yr. but I don’t think it’s unfair to expect DA to NOT trot out the worst team in football every week and get beat down like they have.

Even if last yr.as a mirage and we were’nt as good as the record etc. it still should not be THIS BAD.

I’ll be doing jumping jacks of happiness if we win today and I want DA to succeed, but he needs to sport a team out there that isn’t a Raider Nation embarrassment and punchline.

Go Raiders.

DA is our Derek Dooley. Dooley comes to UT as the young, sharp mind that’s gonna turn it around.

Only problem is he came in with 15-20 record at La Tech, changed schemes and didn’t win jack.

DA comes in with high regard DESPITE being only the 20th ranked defense at Denver…changes schemes, and DESPITE being defensive minded HC, is overseeing a historically bad defense getting blown out every week in humiliating fashion.

We can say “give him time” etc. etc. but we need some kind of indication that things will get better.

Sad to see things get so much worse week by week.

That’s the issue Mark has….the REGRESSION.

DA said the goal was to get better each week. EPIC FAIL on that aspect.

326; Have you bumped your head. You claim calling Hue Jackson a better coach than Denise Allen is a stretch.

Remember Jackson won with the same team, minus his leading rusher (half the season) and Carson was fresh off the sofa and super rusty. Allen had them both for a full off-season and instantly killed the offense. Denise Allen is not NFL HC material. In fact he was a substandard assistant according to his record.

People would say it was Al meddling in the past. But we have a whole new regime now. It must be just sheer coaching fault. Maybe we’re just constantly hiring not the cream of the crop of the young rising star coaches. We didn’t get Sarkasian. We didn’t get Payton. We didn’t get Harbaugh. We didn’t get Belichick (tho we got Gruden), that was the last time we still had the nous to get the best young coaches.

We could miss out on the next group like David Shaw, Chip Kelly, etc. Not sure Allen is worth persevering with or not. Why these last couple months of football, he has to pull his finger out and fight for his job, make changes to save it, show some urgency, some fire and passion. Otherwise…

It’s like hiring an intern to run the whole company while learning on the job, at the Raiders expense. Him slowly going thru the motions, slowly adjusting giving things months at a time experimentation, trying to figure out himself what works or not, that whole “still in training camp mode” by week 12.

There is no reason why Allen should get immunity from fans or GM/Owner. He is a rookie HC just like Greg Shianco. Probably should be considered more advanced than Shianco with years of experience in the NFL already while Shianco had none. Yet Shianco had his team ready from week 1 or 2. Everyone coached up and ready to go. The team has played hard and smart thruout. They don’t have a ton of talent either.

Why can someone like Shianco succeed immediately but someone like Allen can’t.

I guess the last two games haven’t been close at the half. Ravens game was 27-10 and the Saints was 21-7.

That’s a valid point. Something is wrong when you continuously get blown out in the 3rd quarter.
