Defensive tackle Tommy Kelly said he is having a hard time comprehending how the Raiders went from 8-8 and one win shy of the AFC West title last season to a team that is floundering.
“It’s been mind-blowing,” Kelly said. “I would have never, in my wildest dreams, thought we would be 3-8 right now.”

And some of you said yall predicted this season to be as schitty as it is now.
    Yeah right!
Not even TK saw this coming.

    Bad coaching!

  • The_Judge37

Well who knows, we are no different than them , except they came off from bye week , and they kept it close against GB the following week and took Houston to OT couple of weeks ago
    ——-

When you put it like that, it sounds like they are different than us. Much better than us, properly coached.

  • mcfadden20.

LOL , So Curry was the result of bad coaching ??? Man, you guys bought into last year so much

  • guest123

Just make sure it’s not located next to the pet shop, and you’ll be fine. Wait…isn’t EP located about 1000 miles or so from water? I’d re-think that if I were you.

Fck draft position, win some games.

If really we are make or break due to picking #5 instead of #10, we are screwed anyways.

We will have a good daft pick with plenty of options. Either they will screw it up or not, no matter where we pick.

  • Just Fire Baby

Hey the Rio Grande mudriver is less than a mile away!!!

When asked the reason why, Kelly didn’t mince words.
“A whole multitude of things,” Kelly said. “Defense, offense, special teams, the whole team, as a whole, has not gotten the job done. We just got to play a little better over the last five weeks.”

Man i bought into it so much until i saw how horrible we were rushing the passer, then i checked the schedule and you are left wondering why are we allowing more points than last year

With Cleveland coming to town, this team has a chance to win. The can be tough to score on at times, and so the raiders will need to take care of the football. They will not simply be able to score at will or late in game.

The browns have lost several close games this year but have manged to win a few as well. The browns are offensively challenged and rely on defense and running game to win.

Weeden has been the worst fo all the rookie qb starters. he has a solid strong arm, but reading defenses and making line calls and decisions are his biggest weaknesses, as with most rookie qbs.

I actually believe that if we can keep him in 3rd and long we can force a few mistakes.

I dont like the match up against the cleveland running backs. We have been very poor in recent weeks and this team is built to run first. If richardson is healthy he will be a problem. he is a grinder that can pop a long run on a tired defense in the 4th quarter. When the run is gong well weeden is far better, and i think the game plan will call for him to throw it around 20-25 times.

Carson is a10 year vet and has had his best season in a few years. he started the season really strong but has faded badly since the pick 6 in atl. After the flop of the century in bungles bowl carson has a chance for redemption to a degree. i do believe that he can attack the browns through the air and DHB should be emphasized in this game. DHB power and speed will give him a favorable match up along with moore and criner. Our team has trouble running so i think a steady diet of quick short passing (dink and dunk) will really help carson a great deal. he played his best football this year doing the dink and dunk and the raiders must revisit this.

There is no doubt that carson is better than weeden, and the browns ground game is better than ours.

I dont think the browns can win a shoot out against palmer.

Bottle up the run on defense and use short passing on offense to protect the ball and we might get a win.

  • DMAC

I’d rather have a seat next to Hue and get my toe nails done, than witness another ass whoopin this season.

I would take Babin, as a third down specialist.

He is not an everydown player though. And supposedly a locker room issue as well.

    =========

Not on this pathetic defense. He would be a starter here.
    =============================================

Unfortunate but true. Shaughnessy has been a good run defending end, but his pass rush has dried up. Tollefson has not come through either. Babin would be an upgrade in this area. And I don’t know why any of you keep saying he is not a run defending end. He grades out about middle of the pack as a run defender. Not great, but certainly not bad.

“LOL , So Curry was the result of bad coaching ??? Man, you guys bought into last year so much”

Its been well documented as to why he was cut from Seattle and saw limited snaps here then his knees eventually did not hold up.

When a play is in front of Curry and he does not have to think, so he can attack he is great in these kinds of running situations but once he turns his hips he gets lost and makes mistakes.

Hue tried to keep him in mostly on running plays i recall because of this.

I advocate starting Pryor in the near future.

I was one of the first here to say that after 11 or 12 games we would be out of the playoffs the team would be floundering and it would be time to play pryor to find out what we have. i made this statement before the season started.

Of course 99% of this board disagreed strongly and called me names for it. They said it would never happen and that i was the only person who saw it this way.

Well it looks like after 11 games I am no longer the only one with my particular view. Some of the former carson worshipers are also advocating pryor. Local oakland residents and now even local media are asking about pryor.

It appears as though davis is also on board with loosing pryor very soon.

What does national media say about this?

    Take a look
