These guys may WANT to quit on Allen, but they have to be careful if they hope to latch on with another team IF they get let go.

Other GM’s and coaches will see it if you quit and assume that’s what you might do if things don’t go well with them.

It is not on any players best interest to dog it at anytime..imo.

DA has made some good moves:

adding some power blocking
moving huff to cb
Hanson has improved
Huff has improved
oline has improved from the beginning of the year
reece has been utilized more
meyers has improved and been utilized more
more exotic blitzes
reducing Mcclains role

I just don’t see the fight and that can’t be measured in statistics

This is another example of god awful mismanagement of talent or personnel. I can see why some question Allen’s head coaching potential, and his ability to relate to players.

Why not engage in direct conversation with pyor? tell the young man that has worked his tail off in service to the team and the allen the coach what you have outlined for him! If you dont have anything lined up for him then tell him that directly?

This is why people dont respect allen in the locker room apparently. he has the bill callahan disease, and players have to find out what is in there future through media speculation and interviews?!?!

How can pryor mentally prepare for what ever role he is designated for without having advance knowledge of what is expected?

Leaving a young hungry qb dangling in the wind is unfair and lacks professionalism, and shows a lack of respect for the players.

This game in Cleveland will be very telling as far as allen is concerned. Throwing romac off the practice field may have been warranted but it could also cause players to roll there eyes. Did he engage romac directly about issues before the incident?

If players come out sunday and look flat or disinterested it will be proof allen has no allies in the locker room and every head coach needs them.

pryor is number three, but has not been informed by the coach if he will be active or not!!!

How can pryor or any payer respect him?

Its a roster void of talent at every level and so thin to the point where our second string guys would not even make the practice squad for other teams.

Its also coaching because we have all seen what a guy like Harbaugh can do in one year and change the attitude of a team. Yes thy have talent but Harbaugh gets more out of his talent than Singletary did I think that’s obvious.

So its BOTH lack of talent and poor coaching combined with a rookie owner and a rookie GM what else did we expect really…….I myself blame Palmer for all of this!

O is lot easier to coach up , on D you can’t coach average Dline to good pass rushers, we know coaching can make a lot of difference on O side, that’s why premium is placed on Pass rushers, now it’s the 2nd most wanted position in the nfl behind QB, the D Niners D was great with M Singletary and Nolan, but since they were D coaches they didn’t know what to do with the O, comes in Offensive coach, who asked his qb to play mistake free football and here they are

I want to see improvement from the LB’s ad DB’s. I know what to expect out of this D-Line already. I’m not giving them a pass, just like i wont give this coaching staff a pass. Fking up this bad is a group effort. Everyone in the Raiders organization has a hand in this debacle

Well first of all Wheeler and Burris and these other guys are not known for their pass rushing and if they were , they would have been somewhere else, plus you still beat teams with natural pass rush, blitzing is only to confuse teams here and there and ofcourse people are going to look confused when QB’s have all freaking D to throw, CB’s can’t cover all day

Well Burris was a decent pass rusher at SD state, but he’s not elite or he would’ve went higher. But that’s beside the point. Point is, we have new corners, new LB’s to play in the zone but still horrible pass coveregae = Poor coaching. I understand not having a pass rush affects it but to see absolutley no signs of improvment is not just lack of pass rushers.
