Raiders-Browns blacked out

The Raiders-Browns game is blacked out, so it will not be televised locally, a team official said.
The Raiders needed to sell at least 85 percent of the tickets for the game to be considered a sellout and, thereby, televised locally.
This snaps a string of 13 straight regular-season home games televised locally, dating back to the start of the 2011 season.
Given the Raiders record, it’s difficult to envision them selling out against the Chiefs on Dec. 16, either. The Thursday night game against the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning has a decent chance of selling out.

With McClain gone, we can officially start to celebrate the beginning of

    10 …. And Then

The new chapter in Raider championship history.

For the first 10 years of the plan, the Raiders will steadily improve until, by year 9, they will be competing for a wild card

Then comes the exciting “And Then” section – 10 more years of patiently building the perfect winner

By year 18 expect to see the Silver & Black winning their 1st playoff game.

Year 20 of the plan, if you’re still alive, will be so breathtaking and spellbinding you’ll need a sword to cut through the fog that will roll off the Bay

I think it was by year 10…”with a bit of luck and a sprinkling of stardust” we may just see a winning record.

We need to have patience….sweet, succulent patience.

    10 and then…beyotches.

No we are going to the playoffs this year.Just ask Albert,mcfadden20 and raiderduck.

The honey badger was one of the best defensive players in college football during the 2011 season. He was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and had a massive impact for the Tigers. Mathieu plays much bigger than his measurements, and anyone who watched LSU the past two seasons can’t help but see that he is a pure football player with off-the-charts instinct.

Mathieu led the Tigers in tackles last year with 76. The sophomore also had 7.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, two interceptions and nine passes broken up. LSU lined him up as an outside corner, slot corner and safety. He was very dangerous in the slot. Additionally, Mathieu served as a punt returner in 2011, averaging 16 yards per return with two brought back for touchdowns.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder was a dynamic playmaker for the Tigers since Day 1. As a freshman, Mathieu compiled 57 tackles with 8.5 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, two interceptions, seven passes broken up and two interceptions. ”

I’m afraid this infamous Reggie “presser” will turn out to be a toal yawnfest.

One HUGE thing I haven’t seen talked about here is that the rules committee is going to seriously look at banning the “cut block’ which is an important staple of the ZBS.

If that’s true, then all the work and reasoning behind blowing up what was a decent offense in lieu of shoving this ZBS down everybody’s throat will have been for naught.

Including the acquiring of players to fit said scheme.

Maybe one of the gutless scaredy cat “reporters” of the Bay Area could ask Reggie if he even thought about this possible rule change and seeing as he’s a GM shouldn’t he have had some inkling that this may happen before deciding to go along with implementing it?

    Here’s your “presser” for tomorrow.

    I received an advanced transcript:

“We’ll make this quick. It’s safe to say we are a bit disappointed by the results thus far on the field in year one of this “New Era of Excellence”. We had hoped for better results.

Rest assured that the will to win is the light that still burns brightest throughout this organization and we WILL get continue to put our players and coaches in the best possible positions so at the end of the day we may be able to say that we obtained some measure of success.

We intend to stay the course with Coach Allen and Coach Knapp as well as Coach Tarver. THEY are the future of this organization and I am impressed by the job they have done thus far…despite the results on the field.

Winning is not the most important factor in determining an organization’s success, but we will kind of try to see what we can do in that regard.

    Thank You.”

Now that the Raiders where starting at the twenty yard line or beyond on kick off returns last week the next step is to get more positive yards on punt returns. This dancing around stuff after catching the ball should disappear unless the Raiders coach think they have a devin hester back there. Show some improvement some where else and think the Raider Nation can start to feel abit mor positive. My dissappointmnet is more aimed at Reggie than Coach Allen because he should have done what was best to keep the Raiders competitive this year. So coach Allen ,if it is baby steps the Raiders are after special team improvements are a good way to start.

    ========================================

As I posted earlier the Raiders may very well be pulling a Lance Kiffin or Mike Vick and trying to get some of their money back. It now seems painfully apparent that McClain was PURPOSEFULLY doing nothing out there and being insubordinate. I don’t know if he is going to another NFL team any time soon.
