Raiders quick notes

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Wednesday, December 12th, 2012 at 2:41 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Some post practice and locker room notes before moving on to the print product . . .

– Raiders coach Dennis Allen wasn’t shedding any light on the details of what went on regarding the suspension of Rolando McClain. Allen did say, however, McClain had been informed he was being demoted to being a substitute linebacker and special teams player, and that’s the role he will continue in moving forward.

In other words, McClain got angry at the news he wasn’t starting _ he’d already lost his spot in the nickel defense before the Atlanta game _ and that precipitated the incident.

McClain was not present during the open locker room period.

Allen did not directly respond to McClain’s Facebook rants _ one of them had to do with playing for a “real team” _ saying things are said in the heat of the moment.

– Defensive tackle Richard Seymour practiced for the second straight day and Allen expects him to play. Seymour said his condition is about “same as Monday.”

– Allen said he expected Terrelle Pryor to play against Kansas City. Pryor has been active and had a set of plays to run in each of the last two games but hasn’t played.

– Defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi (illness) and strong safety Tyvon Branch (neck, ankle) did not particpate in practice.

– No worries about running back Darren McFadden _ he was a full participant in practice.

The state only loses money in the war on drugs. Theres no profit. Just stop and do your jobs..
    ———

It’s a matter of federal funding, States get it and then sciphon it off. We may lose, but you can bet others a lot higher up make money.

I’m sure it still is. But Coke is the bread and butter. It has to come from South America and a small brick is worth twice as much as it’s weight in weed.

No we don’t, Politicians make the laws and they’re the ones who make the money. If they weren’t making money off it in someway, then you can bet things would be different.

I’m not discounting cocaine .. But Mexico is not in South America. Mexican cartels can grow weed there or here in California. it’s big business.. If we made tobacco illegal all the southern states would go broke.. Weed could be a massive cash crop for this country.

  • Marks hair

It was on the ballot last yr guy.. i voted to leagalize it. So did two states full of people this yr..

  • hwnrdr

That is why I always said that the war on drugs will never stop. Too much dirty money to be had! But yes, if it will never change, why bother?

  • Marks hair

Our cops, polititions, judges and lawers are all dirty.. That’s why theyre mass producing a drone army and airforce.. so we dont revolt against the 1% and their henchmen..

They don’t develop NFL quarterbacks at Ohio State. They concentrate on winning the Big Ten, beating Michigan, and going to the Rose Bowl. Woody Hayes never developed a decent NFL quarterback, Earle Bruce never did, there’s a good chance that Jim Tressell never did, and based on his track record it’s doubtful we’ll see one from Urban Meyer either. Which is fine by me, by the way. Coaches at the big schools are paid to win games, period. They have enough to worry about without stressing over whether Johnny grasps the nuances of the pro game. If it happens that a kid is NFL-ready when he graduates or moves on, great, but it sure shouldn’t be (and in most cases, isn’t) the priority.

Good post, but you made ONE mistake. It’s called THE Ohio State University.

Good morning Nation and Green Party.

    ODB,

Maybe you should get in the tobacco growing business. Getting paid for not growing/ working is the ultimate job as a Green Party member.
    Long live the ODB!!

  • I.E.Raider909

I’m sorry my Oakland family but the Raiders are coming back to the City of Angels in 2014. They will play at the Rose Bowl for a couple of seasons until Farmers Field is complete!! At the end of the day its all about money LA has it and the East Bay can’t compare. The Polls in the LA times showing that LA doesn’t want the Raiders is or was a bunch of the homies from NorCal calling to vote “NO” but that vote was split. Besides 40% of the stadium is filled with SoCal peeps i see them there weekly and half of that from my HOOD!

  • hwnrdr

    Until that actually happens…NO!
    LOL :)
At this point, nothing will surprise me anymore!

Mexico may not be south America, but it’s the main trade route. I know most of the dispensary stuff and street high grade is grown locally.

My wife and I watched the Bo Jackson 30 in 30 special and the Marcus Allen NFL Network profile….after which my wife turns to me and says, “So the Raider’s haven’t sucked your entire life?”

I sent her to her room with no luvin.

  • JONGRUDEN2013

Good morning Hawaiin bro,..just three more weeks of this season,…we going to the Charger game,..then a week later its off to Kaanapali,…you going to be out that way in January?…we will be there darn near the whole month…catch me at the cave, or Moose`s in La Haina….hook up with me Sunday, do some shots.

  • The_Judge37

Bo Jackson’s were the last Athlete endorsed shoes i’ve ever owned.

  • hwnrdr

What’s up Bob? I will try to make it out there in January. Been way too long since I have been to Maui, let alone the Cave! But Sunday, I will be there. Going all out for this one!!!

  • Dakota

Bo was a freak of nature….I cried when they finally admitted he would never play football again.

That was around the same time Magic got the HIV.

And a couple years later my favorite Cub, Ryne Sandberg, broke his wrist and was never the same.

And the Kings lost in the Stanley Cup finals in part due to a overly curved stick.

And ND lost to BC a week after beating Florida State in the “Game of the Century”.

    All of that in about a 4 year period…..and I was a volatile teenager….miracle I didn’t go postal.

  • JONGRUDEN2013

Ok just find Brien and you will find the rest of us,…going to crash Brads in D lot,…cya then vato.

  • JONGRUDEN2013

I remember DMC`s first year here,..preseason game he made a nice run then got tackled,…Papa tried to play him up, said man that reminds you of Bo Jackson doesnt it??…Tom Flores quickly said, “Bo never got caught from behind”….DMC isnt fast at all, wasnt as a Hog and is slower now and fakes injuries,..thats why Reggie dumping him in three weeks,…along with about 25 others.

NFL players want nothing to do with HGH testing…..are we still going to watch the NFL once they ban HGH and the players shrink by 10-15% and run slower? Once they look like humans again?

I always laugh how people kill MLB due to roids, but put the most roided up baseball players next to NFL LBers and DEs, and you can tell which players are using the good stuff, but no one wants the NFL to change…..ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

  • Dakota

I wish McFadden would get on HGH….keep him healthy.

    Lol, like Howie and Lyle?

  • JONGRUDEN2013

DMC is healthy, is always healthy,..however lacks the desire to be a football player,…Peterson in Minn darn near loses his leg just a few months ago and is the best back in the league,…DMC wont suit up if he doesnt sleep well the night before,…I feel bad for even putting DMC in the same post as Peterson.

Someone tried to smuggle a baby through airport security in the UAE and put the 5 month old baby in the carry-on and let it go through the x-ray machine….maybe the world will end soon.

This game, the team should just go out there and have fun…if anyone can call it that! Start the youngans and see what we got moving forward…again, if you can call it that! It will probably black out again, with the only factor being that it IS a division game on wether it will or not.
Going all out for 8AM! Game time, who knows…probably just wish everyone a Happy Holidays and see you next season!

(CNN) – An Egyptian couple has been charged with putting their child at risk and attempted smuggling after security officers at an airport in the United Arab Emirates found their 5-month-old boy hidden in a small handbag.

Police said the baby was discovered by an X-ray screening at Sharjah International Airport as the couple was traveling through the airport.

The infant is in good condition, police said.

According to Sharjah police, the couple arrived in the UAE last Friday but were not allowed to enter the country because they didn’t have a visa for the infant.

Missing baby locked in chest for 12 hours

The parents were told they had to wait two days at the airport until the visa office reopened so the boy’s documents could be processed.

On Saturday, the impatient father persuaded his wife to put the baby in their hand luggage in the hope airport security wouldn’t notice, police said.

“We were very surprised. This is the first time we have seen something like this,” police officer Abdel Rahman Shama told CNN. “Even if you are in a desperate situation, how can you put your child in a bag?”

The parents remain in the UAE under police questioning.

Also, it’s Cocaine that makes the Cartels Rich, not so much weed. And i don’t see that being legalized ever so there’s really no solution to that.

    ———————————————–
While it is true they make most of their money off coke, weed plays a huge roll in funding the whole operation. If we legalized pot and regulated it we could put a huge dent in the cartels effectiveness.

We are wasting our money in the war on drugs. AS long as there is demand (the American people ) we will never keep coke out of the states.

    Excellent post Jim.

We can charge fees and taxes, and we can eliminate a lot of costs by legalizing it.

Returning to football talk, it’s clear Kelly and Seymour ain’t coming back in 13 how about moving Matt Shaughnessy to the middle i mean:
1— He came to the league weghing 265lbs and he looks a lot bigger now i say 285lbs could add a few pounds to say 295.
2— He isn’t and never will be an speed rusher no matter his weight.
3— He clearly has lost a step.
4— He might not win many battles one on one but doesn’t get beat either.
5— He hustles to the end has a good initial quickness and still got good instincts, not to mention great motor.
    Just a tought.
