    Word up!

I think Te’o as a top-3 pick is more of a media invention. I think when it’s all said and done, he goes around No. 10, which is about right.

    Over/Under on Pryor snaps?

Miller just drilled Flacco. Amazing crop of pass rushers in recent years: Watt, Miller, Aldon Smith, JPP, Clay Matthews.

Unfortunately for us, I don’t necessarily see a guy anywhere near that caliber in this year’s draft. Damontre Moore from A&M is probably the best of the bunch, but I tend to think he’s just OK and not elite. Maybe a 10 sack a year guy, not 20.

    ————

Does he look any less impressive than Tuck, Uminyiora, or JPP did in college?

    I dont think so.

My point being, it’s going to take a couple B+ DE’s and then they will look like world beaters. All the guys you mentioned that are elite, also happen to play on some pretty talented teams.

Tough call. Could go with .5, or 5 depending on whether he plays at all.

I wouldn’t take him there either. Scouts are questioning his speed at the next level. It’s one thing to look good when you have a best NT and play most of your games against the worst BCS conference in the nation.

  • Raider Riff

I’d say Im pissed that Stewart isnt playing at RB, but I dont care. I just want us to beef up DMC’s trade value as much as possible.

Don’t worry that will happen, they are on “scholarship” LOL!. I’m sure Reece will have to back them up too.

    Pryor = 9

Whatever we do in the draft….

    Take the BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE.

Remember with the Pistons were unbeatable? They passed on Carmelo Anthony and drafted for “need” and took Darko Milicic in what would end up one of the WORST “draft for need” decisions in the history of sports.

  • raidersince87

i hope TP gets a whole half..

  • raidersince87

maybe we should go for geno smith.

  • MiamiRaider78

    I say 7 snaps.

What quarter will Knapp abandon the run in?

    I say during warm ups.

I agree, there’s just no way that guy can be T’eo

  • J Hill

How smart is Shanny looking by taking Cousins?

Easily getting back some of those draft picks he gave away.

Same thing I’m hoping for with Pryor.

No way will the RAiders Lose to the chiefs today. The raiders are bad but the chiefs are really really bad.

Easy win for the Raiders. They will win by 10 points. Print that!

I agree with most of what you’re saying, but I’d rather go for a guy that has a chance to be an A+ LT over a B+ DE.

I’d say Moore becoming a Umenyiora or Tuck type of player is reasonable albeit max potential of Moore. I don’t think he has quite the elite physical skills of a guy like JPP, but I would also say that Moore is less of a boom or bust pick than JPP was. I think with Moore you’re getting a B- to B+ player because he has good athleticism and seems to play hard and with heart.

2012 ALL-SEC FIRST TEAM (COACHES): DL – Damontre Moore, Texas A&M, has been selected First Team All-Southeastern Conference (Coaches selection) for the 2012 college football season. Moore (Rowlett, Texas) emerged as the country’s breakout defender in his third season in Aggieland. His 12.5 quarterback sacks on the season tie for No. 2 in the nation and he ties for third in tackles for loss with 20. The junior paces the team with 80 tackles and could become just the third defensive lineman in the past 40 seasons to lead A&M in tackles. Moore currently leads the Aggies in tackles, solo tackles, sacks, tackles for loss, QB hurries and blocked kicks.

    Exactly.

As for the whole DE vs T debate. Which position do you think is easier to fill in free agency? And which has the better prospect in the draft?

I’d say Moore is better than any T prospect in the draft. And I’d say we should be able to fill the T position in free agency much easier than finding a impact DE. And for a way cheaper price.

  • MaddenRaiderisadouchebag

Allen leaves Dungver they’re on their way to 13-3
    Knapp leaves Houston they’re 11-2
Tarver leaves Stanford, they are in the Rose Bowl, knocked off the #2 team on the road, & had a controversial call cost them the win on the road of the #1 team in college football.

    Thanks Shreg.

  • raidersince87

and carson is old and on the downside of his career, we need a young franchise to go with our young wr’s and team as a a whole. and he isnt the only one thats gotz ta go!

  • raidersince87

jake long could be available in free agency.

  • John David Booty

John Fox made a genius move by dumping one of his weak link coaching staff members on to a division rival. Of course, he made it seem as if he was doing Allen such a big favor at the time. But when Allen asked for permission to interview some of the coaches that Fox actually WANTED to keep around, permission was swiftly DENIED. Denver got better by subtraction when they lost Dennis Allen. And we got much, much worse with his hire. Crazy how this universe works.

    ——–

T’eo is a classic “draft for need” pick.

We need a MLB that has tons of leadership, he fits that bill. But he’s far from a top 3 pick. He isnt the BPA til about the 10-15 range. Anything earlier and you are reaching for “need”.

If we trade down to a position where he is the BPA, I could live with that due to how shallow this draft seems to be. But I wouldnt push for it either.

    Chris from NY,

    One other thing….

JPP will be available in Free Agency.

Pairing him with Moore as our two stud DE’s will completely transform our defense.

Absolutely draft the best player available regardless of position. There is no talent on this roster right now.

Carson Palmer can’t help this team and it was FOOLISH to think otherwise. Carson in arizona, baltimore or NY Jets would help.

You guys have been overrating this junk roster for yrs. You refused to want to spend high picks for the middle of the line and were dependent on check cashing vets and free agents looking for a last payday.

This team is one of the worst of all time. Pressure washing this gunk is the only option.

If the coaches think otherwise, then they should be rinsed away with the rest of these hopelessly lousy players.

    CLEAN HOUSE!

We fidn’t need ANYONE’S permission to speak with Del Rio, but DA was THE GUY!
    Reggie Mc is a HACK…
still knows how to make Ted Tthompson’s coffee though.

  • Raider Riff

I dont know if this is do-able, but here is what I have been proposing…

    Personel Moves:

    - WR core to look like this (FA, Moore, Ford, Streater, Criner, Hagan)
    - Stewart & Goodson as our RB’s
    - Move Wiz 2.0 back to LG
    - Move Bergstrom to RG (his natural position)
    - Move Houston in to DT

    Salary Saving Moves:

    - CP3 restructures and gives Reggie some flexibility (or trade for a very good pick)
    - Trade DMC for multiple picks (2nd and 4th)
    - Trade McClain for anything (Tebow? Seriously, a bum who cant play for a leader who cant play, its a major upgrade)
    - Restructure or trade DHB for a can of tuna
    - Cut Briesel
    - Cut Seymore & Kelly
    - Let Lechler go

    Fill Holes in the DRAFT:

    - We currently have 6 picks, and up to 8 more through possible trading down, and dumping of players like DMC etc, and compensatory picks for Bush or Campbell
    - Draft Mooren at DE
    - If Honey Badger is available late in the draft, we take him to make our #3 CB or possibly give us the flexibility to move Huff back to FS if absolutely needed.

    FREE AGENCY:

    - Get our #1 WR (Bowe?)
    - Bring back Nnamdi to be our #1 CB and pair him with HoneyBadger & Adams
    - JPP at DE
    - If there is money leftover, spend in on a impact RT or C… Jake Long will be available

Black shoots unarmed white hispanic; police refuse to arrest black

Taco Bell Shooting Victim was Holding Leash, Not Weapon, myfoxphoenix.com.

LAVEEN – Police are saying more about a shooting at a Taco Bell Tuesday night in which one man died.

They’re also identifying the victim as 29-year-old Daniel Adkins.

About 7:30 p.m., a 22-year-old man and his girlfriend ordered food at the Taco Bell drive-thru and were told to pull up while their order was prepared.

At the same time, Adkins stepped around a corner into the path of the vehicle and angry words were exchanged between he and the driver.

They got into an altercation and Adkins was shot once by the driver. He died at the scene.

The driver, a 22-year-old black male, called police but has not been arrested.

At first, the couple claimed that Adkins had a metal pipe that he swung at them — but it turns out he was holding a dog leash with his yellow lab on the other end.

Family members want that driver arrested, but he’s claiming self-defense.

“He needs to be behind bars. I’ll never see my brother again,” says sister Marina Reyes. “If he felt that my brother was threatening him, he could have easily just rolled up the window and called the cops.”

A metal pipe or bat was never located. An independent witness did say Adkins swung his fists in the driver’s direction.

“He swung his fist towards the driver window, and at some point the driver shot him,” says Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson. “Just because we don’t book a person immediately does not mean we don’t charge a person at a later date.”

The dog, Lady, stayed by Adkins’ side until the Humane Society came. Adkins lived with his mom and dad. He’s 29, but his family says he’s mentally disabled and has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old. He didn’t drive, and walked wherever he went.

“This person is still on the loose and I don’t agree with that. So he’s saying self defense, then where’s the weapon? Where’s the pipe? They didn’t find anything on my brother,” says Reyes. “He was just too aggressive, you don’t need to go that far.”

The shooter’s name has not been released. The investigation is still ongoing.

    SnB,
thats my opinion too, the constant losing has us setting the bar really low, a lot of our staters would be on the bench on other teams, this core group has done nothing but keeps being brought back with different staffs but the same results..i think reg is gutting our core while going to keep the young good players.
