One is the loneliest number
December 21st, 2012 at 10:46 am
If firing Dennis Allen is the right thing to do for the Raiders, lets do it.
I dont see it that way right now. Doesnt line up with Reggie’s character.
December 21st, 2012 at 10:47 am
Two can be as sad as one. It’s the loneliest number since the number one.
December 21st, 2012 at 10:48 am
Bring back:
Dez Bryant
Andre Carter
Mike Goodson
Joselio Hanson
Shane Lechler
Brandon Myers
Matt Shaughnessy
Phillip Wheeler
Phillip Adams
Brandian Ross
Kaelin Burnett
Jeremy Stewart
Everyone else can go.

Mistic,
I am not trying to insult you at all. Miles Burris said, “he gave us a great look”. He did not say, “wow, Pryor looked great out there killing our ones”. What Burris is saying is Pryor was also on the scout team simulating Drew Brees. But Brees is 5′11″ and very accurate. Pryor is 6′5″ and not very accurate. Pryor most likely did not give the defense a “great look” at Brees. Do you understand the difference? You are so full of hero worship for guys like Newton, and Pryor it is clouding your mind.

ask a real question to reggie/da cork…cmon you had it in you once upon a time…
December 21st, 2012 at 10:51 am
I’m OK with letting most of those guys go.

Yo Guru, can you drop some knowledge on me, please. FF Championship!
FF Advise:
Eli Manning or Russell Wilson
Roddy White, Brandon Marshall, Antonio Brown, Denarius Moore or Cecil Shorts (Need 3). Scary, but is Roddy White really hurt?
Texans Defense (At Home against Vikings) or Atlanta Defense (Road, Detroit)

I doubt that happens. You don’t put a rookie punter on IR unless you’re planning to keep him.
December 21st, 2012 at 10:54 am
Whooh, I am not seeing a lot on that unrestricted free agent list that we should bring back. Wheeler, Goodson, Myers, Hanson, Carter, Ross, Giordano as a backup…man some pretty slim pickings there.

If Lechler takes a pay cut, you keep him.
Thats why King was kept around. To see what happens.

Giordano shouldnt even be given a exit interview.
He should be escorted out right when the clock hits 00:00 at the end of week 17.
December 21st, 2012 at 10:56 am
Lol. Missdick thinks Palmer is “closer than ever to being replaced” cuz Pryor threw an incomplete pass. He embarrasses himself every time he speaks. I love him so.
December 21st, 2012 at 10:57 am
Shame on Mark Davis.
FIRE REGGIE NOW.
December 21st, 2012 at 10:58 am
Talk about a whole bunch of eww… Nothing really to get all heartbroken over should any of those guys leave.

oregon paper on chip kelly…(sporting news)
Almost certain to be gone are Romeo Crennel (Chiefs), Andy Reid (Eagles), and Norv Turner (Chargers). Meanwhile, even if you take Rex Ryan of the Jets off the endangered coaches list, nine others have reason to worry—Dennis Allen (Raiders), Chan Gailey (Bills), Jason Garrett (Cowboys), Mike Mularkey (Jaguars), Mike Munchak (Titans), Ron Rivera (Panthers), Pat Shurmur (Browns), Lovie Smith (Bears) and Ken Whisenhunt (Cardinals).

These could all be great coordinators if Allen stays. It will also give us greater insight into who really hires the coaches. Reggie or Knapp

Thank You!

This extensive free agent list is really the first meaningful step to getting the financial house in order
December 21st, 2012 at 11:02 am

December 21st, 2012 at 11:02 am
Norvell or Wisenhunt for OC is about all I would want from that pile. Maybe Rivera as DC..
December 21st, 2012 at 11:03 am
We have to keep a few on the Dline just for depth and rotation purposes.
December 21st, 2012 at 11:05 am
However, Shaughnessy has to go as the LDE cuz he just isnt getting pressure on the QB. He should still be kept for depth.
Same goes with DE Carter

My crummy team somehow made the championship too. But I have garbage for my WR3. Basically a choice between Josh Gordon at Denver or Denarius at Carolina. I have Streater too. Any expert advice? thanks.

Not touching Gordon vs Champ Bailey.
So Moore or Streater?..
Streater has been more consistent.
Moore has a better chance to have a big game.
Safe = Streater
Gamble = Moore

Gotta figure out what base D we will run next year.
4-3 with some 3-4 or…. 3-4 with some 4-3.

You are not going to build the core of your team with FA’s. You do it with the draft.
FA’s can plug a leak here and there for a year or two.
Contracts like Mario Williams kill a team for years.
Hungry rookies with the rookie cap in place are the way to build the core.
Trouble is Reggie is missing three of his top four picks in his first two drafts.

Thank the great Hue Jackson.
—
Blaming Hue for that is like leaving a bag of candy in front of a 6 yr. old and getting mad at him for getting a stomach ache from eating it.
He was hired to be a coach…not a GM.
If Mark was so incensed at him for doing it he should have stopped it and told him “NO”.

********
My opponent is starting DHB and at TE Ben Watson. I think I need to go safe. I was thinking starting another Raider WR would somehow limit the opponents upside. But that’s maybe wishful thinking. I’m actually thinking about plugging in Streater now.
thanks DAV for your analysis.

Were still a 4-3 team as composed for 2 reasons.
1) We dont have 3-4 LBs. This problem takes time to make it legit
2) We dont have the 3-4 DT

Sorry but I have another stupid fake football question for DAV,
I won the semi-final game despite Tyne’s zero pt game. Would you call Tynes a risk for another goose egg?

Burnett, Burris are 3-4 LBs.. Wheeler is my only question..
And yep… McClain is still a Raider… 3-4 ILB.
And as far as the “NT”..
Ricky Jean-Francois, as I have been suggesting, solves that as a FA.

Anyone of note available?
I cut bait on him for Prater in a league.
I dont think he goose eggs it, but im not as confident as I was in him getting +10 points..

Dennis, If you think we were 3 CP int’s away from being 7-7, is it would suggest a little tweak here or there and we’re right in the thick of things next yr.
Is this your thought?

McClain is gone so we need 3 pieces before this idea has any wings. Also, THERE’S NO DEPTH AT THIS FORMATION. We cannot count on FA’s coming to Oakland because it isnt a desired destination
December 21st, 2012 at 11:22 am
It would help if we could get Star at DT, but we need to lose out in order to make that a reality
December 21st, 2012 at 11:24 am
The only two lineman on this list that come back are Bryant and Carter. The rest are gone. Thank goodness.
I can see nothing but lineman and maybe ONE DB IN THIS YEAR’S DRAFT.
There are a few keepers like Wheeler and Adams on the lsit but the rest will test the market.
Kelly is the last really bad value on this team. If we draft well Kelly will not start next year (see Seymour). I am sure McClain gets cut since no one will offer us even a cup of coffee in a deal. Lechler and Leinart will be gone as well.
Need more first and second round picks. That happens in 2014.

Raider (since1967)★
Morning Cork – hey Nation . Lets try to keep the best Apples in the box. Realizing that Reggie is going to put this team togethet he and Allen will hand pic the best of the crop.
On free agency he should try to get the best corners like.
The Dolphins corner, he is always batting the balls away and they always prevent Qbs completetions. They stick their hands out and disrupt plays. Those are the best!
Get one experince wide receiver like- Wallace and add a few Direct Impact cheap cost Players. Then after, to the Free Agency to the
NFL Draft. Stop the Run and get a Quality playef that really last. MANTAI TEO (nd) and Jarvis Miller or Star Lotulelei.
Try to sneak a Cb Alabama – if will could trade to get that Stud.
FIRE KNAPP — Is in every Blog and every Sport Media and every poll. Even Vic Tafur, Paul Gut, talk shows and other sources!
It look better and Oakland future and with a new Stadium in the not to distant future. You just have to say like Chico and the Man ” ” LOOKIN GOOOOOOD “
