I don't recall a season where we had this little attention or coverage.

I laugh at "Around the League Live" cuz the title suggests they'll be covering all 32 teams..but Raiders get NOTHING...which is actually a good thing for a season like this.

Just fire

Have to have a running game to sell.

It has been my point on many posts. When you have strong line play i gives the coordinators far more degrees of freedom for creativity.

I simply do not think many on this blog realize how line play impacts calls.
Example; Knapp has his hands tied with Barnes at RT. Barnes needs help all the time on passing downs against good DE's.

The same with Tarver. We can not bring pressure on the QB with only four and we can not stop good running teams consistently. Therefore; live by the blitz-die by the blitz.

My opinion is that beating KC, Carolina and SD (or even 2 of the 3) to close out this season will have no bearing whatsoever on how we perform in 2013.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can't be serious.

Carolina team on the road?

Division road win?

You don't think winning breeds confidence?

"NO" bearing????

Surely it will have SOME bearing on next year.

Oh, and I agree we need a new play caller.

There is a likely scenario that we can win these last two games, and only “fall” in the draft maybe 2 spots from where we are today.
=================================================
Is that something like our scoring is 'only' down 2 points a game ?

Or our win total is 'only' down 2 games ?

We don't know how the draft will play out.

The difference between drafting 3rd or 6th could be huge.

Not only in terms of player selection, but in trade possibilities.

It's very easy to overestimate the importance of winning these last two games and underestimating the potential benefits of losing them.

I don't believe that the 'carry-over' effect from season to season is significant.

I believe that our draft position carries more significance.

Enough to 'dump' games this year ? Probably not.

But I really don't care if the Raids win these last two.

And I can see how losing them can help.

If we do lose, I hope we get SHUT OUT.

Got to SCRAP THE KRAPP.

This is the kind of game that the Raiders usually win. Nothing to prove, nothing to play for. And it won't be mentioned on the networks. Like it never happened, a black hole in a parallel universe sucking up time, space and matter.

I put absolutely no stock in the ‘carry over’ argument I’ve seen brought up here and in other places.

So winning are first East Coast morning game in 3 years, would do nothing for the youngsters returning next years confidence?
