If we could only play the Warriors more often.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:19 am
This is the kind of game that the Raiders usually win. Nothing to prove, nothing to play for. And it won’t be mentioned on the networks. Like it never happened, a black hole in a parallel universe sucking up time, space and matter.

Carolina 55 – Oakland 15 Five more field goals today.

TO HECK WITH MORE COACHIN’ CHANGES. NO MO OF THAT. KEEP ALLEN AND KNAPP AND TARVER FOR A FEW YEARS…EVEN IF THEY GO 5-11 NEXT YEAR…NO MO COACHIN’ CHANGES. ALLEN HAS A FOUR YEAR DEALIO. LET HIM HAVE AT LEAST HIS FOUR YEARS. HE HIRED KNAPP FOR THE LONG RUN NOT JUST THIS YEAR. TARVER IS BECOMING A GREAT DC. GIVE THEM YEARS NOT MONTHS. JOHN GRUDEN IS NOT THE ANSWER. GO RAIDERS AND GO LUCIFER. 666

Star or tackle from A&M would be the bet bet. Move Veldheer to the right. Sign Avril kick Houston inside with star. Dude is a beast. Eats up blocks and still makes plays.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:23 am
With Sey leaving and Kelly dumped we will need a big time DT.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:23 am
There is a likely scenario that we can win these last two games, and only “fall” in the draft maybe 2 spots from where we are today.
=================================================
Is that something like our scoring is ‘only’ down 2 points a game ?
Or our win total is ‘only’ down 2 games ?
We don’t know how the draft will play out.
The difference between drafting 3rd or 6th could be huge.
Not only in terms of player selection, but in trade possibilities.
It’s very easy to overestimate the importance of winning these last two games and underestimating the potential benefits of losing them.
I don’t believe that the ‘carry-over’ effect from season to season is significant.
I believe that our draft position carries more significance.
Enough to ‘dump’ games this year ? Probably not.
But I really don’t care if the Raids win these last two.
And I can see how losing them can help.
If we do lose, I hope we get SHUT OUT.
Got to SCRAP THE KRAPP.

I agree with you in theory, but I don’t want Knapp back, not because of scheme or underperformance (that I agree might improve) but because of his GAME DAY play calling and lack of imagination.

Or it could be nothing at all.
We could lose both games and then draft Andre Wadsworth.
Win the games if you can, figure the rest out later.

My opinion is that beating KC, Carolina and SD (or even 2 of the 3) to close out this season will have no bearing whatsoever on how we perform in 2013.
——————————————————————————
You can’t be serious.
Carolina team on the road?
Division road win?
You don’t think winning breeds confidence?
“NO” bearing????
Surely it will have SOME bearing on next year.
Oh, and I agree we need a new play caller.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:30 am
JFB,
Why are you so quiet on the basketball front?
David Lee is not an All Star.
Nellie Ball will be a 1st round playoff exit.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:33 am
McFadden ran the ball well last week.
Has clearly lost some burst post foot injuries.
If he runs well these last 2 games, he’ll certainly be back.
Or does that just increase his trade value?
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:33 am
So winning are first East Coast morning game in 3 years, would do nothing for the youngsters returning next years confidence?
==================================================
Pretty much.
Will have little or no bearing on how we play or our confidence level in winning East Coast games next year.
Don’t subscribe to the ‘carry over’ factor either.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:33 am
David Lee WILL BE an All-Star (coaches selection) and you guys were playing for your season.
Got outwilled by Kobe.
Should have fouled Dwight on the inbounds with the one point lead at the end of regulation, and not sure why Barnes drifted into the point to let QueensBrick get the open 3.
Rookie mistake.

Any chance Hue Jackson replaces Rex Ryan???

JFB,
Do you still think the new Carolina GM will take a QB with their first pick?
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:42 am
Kobe taking 40+ shots, Nash logging season high in minutes?

I thought Nostradamus predicted the end in like the year 3200 or something like that.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:43 am
Predictions of Y2K and Mayan calendar catastrophes proved false.
Predictions of Krapp being a catastrophe proved true.
The good news is the Krapp catastrophe doesn’t have to be permanent.
It’s something we can recover from.
Scrap the Krapp.

I was just fkn with Mistic with that one.
He will get next year to make the playoffs, then they might look in that direction if not.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:45 am
Yeah, I was shocked that the warriors didn’t foul Dwight when they had the chance. Guess they were afraid he might actually hit his free-throws since he was 3-4 in the game lol.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:46 am
Kobe taking 40+
—————————————————————————–
Look here stat guy.
ZERO FTs????
Box score should have said 28 shots if the refs aren’t trying to give you guys the game, lol.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:46 am
You guys are a little testy this morning huh?
The stress of the first 2 months of a disatrous Laker season getting to you?
It’s all right, the lottery process can be fun sometimes!!!!!
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:48 am
Yeah the officiating was strange
Last night. Lots of fouls on guys trying to fight through screen or trying to establish post position, but you go to the hoop and get hammered there was no call.
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:49 am
Oh that’s right, you traded your first round pick for a couple of half seasons from a 38 year old PG who hal this blog could post-up.
Never-mind
December 23rd, 2012 at 8:49 am
Yeah, I was shocked that the warriors didn’t foul Dwight when they had the chance.
——————————————————————————
I thought I saw Jackson yelling at ole boy for no fouling him.
But since an All Star player like David Lee ALSO decided not to foul him and let Artest shoot a wide open 3 instead, you have to wonder, lol.
