#73: I am not impressed with the offense either, but I'd rather see Pryor given a shot since we still don't know what he is capable of doing. We know what we have in Leinert, which is a terrible back-up QB.

Someone please fire the GM, Allen and the coaching staff! Hey Mark, are you really embracing this regime in the front office or a shame to emit failure on the first go! From this fan point of view, you'd screwed the pooch on this year! And will it get any better, I hardly think so!!! You had TPryor on the bench, a Crybaby trying to make a comeback which failed, a first year coach making excuses about the plays on the field and a comment to hurt the team! Where's the so-called GM whereabouts picking your pockets? Why did Green Bay let him go in the first place! Here's its like a merry go round of coaches! Hire a coach not the rejects like Denny Green...coaches on the networks..remember Dick vermeill when Philly...the resurgence of change in climates...Andy Reid will be available soon...Not Rex Ryan either!!! I'm a fan of this team since 72! And remain a fan thru it all! But when the fans start to blog...take heed we provide your income for the Raiders. Find the problem quic with outside consultant and make changes! Fire the front office and get rid of the dead weight of players. Starting with Palmer and the other guy Leinart! Work within to manage this team! Raiders forever!

Leinnert allegedly knows the playbook as does Palmer, yet the Raiders haven't scored a TD in approximately 3 games. The offese sux. Some idiots on this blog claiom Pryor can't pass (even though they he has only thrown two times in the NFL with one completion). While we know for a FACT Leinert can't pass, run, lead or follow. Leinert is a total scrub.Pryor is a physical speciman with extreme athletic abilities.. Let the world see if he can be a quality NFL QB. We already know Matt Leinert is not.

This is such BS. Rookies come in and learn offenses and play right away: RG3, Wilson, Luck, Tannehill, Weeden, Foles, Kaepernick...Newton, Ponder, Dalton, Locker, Gabbert, and even guys like TJ Yates and McElroy have gotten starting nods. Leinert is not good enough to be a back-up QB for us next season. He is terrible. Start Prior. If he really doesn't know the playbook or can't cut it, better to find out now.

The Raiders had 8 pro bowlers and/or alternates last season who ALL came back for this season. Any fool can see it's the coaching. The team has offensive weapons. they simply aren't utilized correctly. Some of you clowns appear to know little or nothing about football or life in general.
Blogs really prove the country is loaded idiots, losers and generally clueless misfits.

Instead of giving Pryor a fair chance to do well, they have him taking approximately 30% of the practice snaps, while favoring the pathetic noodle armed Leinert.

SD can keep 9 in the box against Lienart and totally nullify the running game due to the fact the world knows Lienart can't throw deep or intermediate passes. Lienerts 10 yard bombs have the zip of a knuckle ball. He has zero mobility and/or fire.

This pathetic coaching staff continually prove their incompetence with every word they speak and every action they take. Reggie Mc needs to have his az kicked for bringing this clown show to Oakland.

John

I have agreed from the beginning that getting an experienced HC would have been much better than starting off with a new inexperienced regime. I would have preferred continuity with Hue or Cable but that is over and it is time to move on.

I am amused by those who only offer one half of the equation. Fire all the coaches. Replaced by who?

“Still, the simple truth is that Knapp was not the Raiders’ first choice. He was hired after the Raiders interviewed a couple other candidates, and even that was long after pretty much every other team in the league had their coaching staff already set.
There remains a distinct possibility that Knapp will return in 2013. Maybe for the sake of continuity, or because it’s not as simple as most fans think to “upgrade” at a coaching position.”

I have pointed out many logical reasons why experienced people do not want the job.
The present staff and the SIX THAT HAVE PRECEEDED THEM FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS COULD NOT PRODUCE A WINNING SEASON LET ALONE GET TO THE PLAYOFFS. SEVEN DIFFERENT STAFFS IN TEN YEARS!!!!

I think that points to a lack of talent and NOT poor coaching as being the primary problem with the Raiders over the last decade.

I believe the saying goes something like; Insanity is defined as continuing to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
Have you been paying attention the last ten years?

Let's try to get better players first and stop the silly delusion that we have the player talent to compete with Denver.
See the game on 12/6/12?

"The cap issues cost us players that produced something for Hue albeit at a ridiculously high price."
----------------------------------------------
Who are these players that you are referring to that were productive last season, but had to be let go this season, as cap casualties? I'll give you Wimbley on D and Bush on O. Bush averaged less than 4 yards a carry last year and this year. Both Goodson and Stewart have proven capable of being able to make up for the loss of Bush. Who else was productive that wasnt retained? This team started the season with Carson Palmer at QB, DMAC at RB, Marcel Reece at FB, David Ausberry, an extremely athletic pass catching TE. Half of a successful offensive line in Wiz and Veldheer, DHB, who managed 975 yards last season, proving he is capable of producing. Not the best, but definitely enough to score points. If you couldnt get point on the board with these guys, thats on YOU coach.

"We did not have a 1st or second round pick so no immediate help could be counted on but we did find Burris and Streater."
-----------------------------------------------
Even if we had the 1st round pick, it would not have guaranteed that the pick would have offered immediate help, at #17. I think coming into the season with a vet QB is a WAY bigger advantage than some mid first round rookie, whose production is NEVER guaranteed.

"The cap impact on the roster is huge. Injuries (I guess that is the strength and conditioning coaches fault), no first or second round picks and a roster that was a year older and you want to blame it all on poor coaching?"

Not all, but this team looks worse, has performed worse, and has a worse record than last year. Those are facts. You keep giving excuses for Dennis, but no reasons as to why you think hes a good coach. And we did have a 1st round pick, it was used on a vet QB, which lots of teams would love to have. Stop saying we didnt have a pick. We had a pick, used it on CP, and he was undeniably the leader of this team this season, and the only one week in and week out who even gave us half a chance, playing with Knapps sh#tty playcalling. We didnt "waste" our pick. And our 2nd was used the year before to get Barksdale, who would DEFINITELY Be helping this team, and Taiwan Jones, who this staff has refused to even let sniff a carry. Our picks were used. Its not a valid excuse.

"As I said before the 2011 team was the most expensive 8-8 team in NFL history. It was a house of cards that was doomed."

And with the exception of Wimbley, Bush, and Routt, who were the big money players that had so much to do with us being 8-8 that arent around? Exactly. Theres enough talent on this team that they should not have been blown out numerous times. Our offense should not have grossly regressed. That has nothing to do with the cap, or the previous 10 years.

So, we have all seen why the excuses. We dont need to hear it again. Just tell us why you think Dennis Allen is a good coach.
Again, that is why no one with experience wanted the gig and why we had to offer 4 year deals.
