They do need to trade down if they can. They don’t have a 2nd or a 5th rounder this year.

If McK doesn’t trade down from that top 3 pick, then I’m sure he will trade down from his 3rd rounder to get more picks.

Question will be, is there a team out there willing to do it, its kind of a weak draft for QB’s, RB’s and WR’s. Teams usually trade up to get a franchise QB like RGIII or stud WR like Julio Jones. There aren’t any of those coming out I don’t think.

Cardinals would be a viable trade partner, they may try to rebottle the few years they got out of Warner.

Still think the Jets would be very much in the mix as well. Think they keep Rex and give him one year without Sanchez to see what he can do.

As far as Palmer’s trade value? Don’t think we can get a early 2nd (where those teams would be drafting) straight up for him, so we would have to package a late pick with it just to sweeten the pot.

Palmer and a 6th, for a 2nd type thing.

Greater chance, IMO, of trading Palmer then trading back in the first round.

I think CP can he had for a 3rd rounder for sure. However, who the heck is going to replace him?

Wow didn’t realize he had 7 fumbles…that’s a crapload…that’s not a fluke, that’s a serious fumble problem right there, also an indicator of a crappy oline too.

This is all so simple and transparent. Those who are just content and satisfied that Al is gone and that we now have the media’s approval that we are doing things “the right way”… are fine with a long rebuild process and very understanding and forgiving of Reggie and DA. Then…when it comes to Palmer, all their pragmatic, sound reasoning and analysis goes out the window. “Palmer blew the season for us” they say w/o giving any slack.

So, Reggie and DA get a break for having a talentless team they inherited, yet Palmer is supposed to overcome that same “talentless” team and be Superman.

Be honest. It comes down to if you like Reggie and DA you’ll load us up with excuses and if you don’t like Palmer you’ll offer no slack at all.

Even the most even handed, sound, pragmatic, “tell it like it is” posters can’t resist themselves, and the personal bias shines through everytime.

Chiefs have spent a fortune of 1st-round picks on O-line and D-line. They are a decade behind the times.

It’s a QB/WR/DC league with the new rules. Do what the Bengals, Bucs, Vikings did. Invest at QB/RB/WR.

Every draft is different, there are no Peyton Mannings, Calvin Johnsons or Adrian Petersons this year. A team like the Raiders needs to build the lines badly. Already have a serviceable QB, RB & WR’s. Just need to change the OC and maybe go after a veteran WR like Bowe or Jennings in FA.
