The only troubling thing about that is Goodson runs those ‘three run plays’ well. DMC doesn’t.
_______
So Goodson in this scheme is better than DMAC in a power scheme?
December 30th, 2012 at 3:39 pm
That last play by Pryor is why I nicknamed him Houdini. He needs to work on finishing his magic tricks, however.

TP def has a future with us , just a few more kinks to get rid off and def need better suppor around him
December 30th, 2012 at 3:40 pm
Give TP6 another year or two to develop his skills & abilities and we just might have something. But, nothing is going to happen with Knapp at the helm and without competent WR’s who will fight for the ball.

Wasnt a bad throw. He actually threw it EXACTLY where DHB was. Watch the play, and watch it again. DHB didnt make a good attempt for the ball, and Jammer actually had to make an OUTSTANDING PLAY to make the INT.
That wasnt a simple INT right into the hands of the DB.
Stop it.
===============
Ball was short. Was a duck. What were you watching?
————————————–
The play. Multiple times, from different angles.
DHB is facing Pryor, of course its in front of him. Pryor isnt supposed to throw it OVER his head in this case, goodness. Watch the play again. DHB is in position, the ball is headed right in his direction, Jammer is BEHIND DHB. DHB STANDS there, not moving forward or making a play toward the ball, but rather just jumps STRAIGHT UP, as he stupidly always does, waiting for the ball to get to him. Quentin Jammer MAKES A PLAY by jumping in FRONT of DHB for the deflection, which he then was able to secure before it hit the ground. That was ALL on DHB. He made no attempt for the catch, just waited for the ball, and also didnt make a play to prevent Jammer from catching the deflection.
Ive given my entire view of the play, full details.
Now what were YOU watching?
============
Did TP lead the receiver? No, dumbass.
did the defender step up and take the ball? Yes, dumbass.
Did the ball float? yes, dumbass.
Was it a floundering duck? yes, dumbass.
Clean your glasses. DUMBASS.
——————————————
HAHAHAHA, you are a clueless clown. Ive always felt bad when this blog went wild on you, but you are a b!tch AND an idiot. I’ll be ignoring youre dumb @ss going forward, but last word, let me respond to your idiocy.
ScrubKell “Did TP lead the receiver? No, dumbass.”
Sigh. How the hell do you lead a WR thats already in position to make the catch? Wow. Lead him where, to the end zone, where the secondary was ALREADY over top? Yeah, smart one. If Pryor “leads” him over top, the ball is into triple coverage. He threw underneath the coverage, INCLUDING JAMMER, who was STILL BEHIND DHB when the ball got there.
“did the defender step up and take the ball? Yes, dumbass.”
Umm, no. The defender stepped up and deflected the pass so that DHB couldnt catch it. He was not physically in position to “take the ball” as you said. After the awesome deflection by Jammer, he STILL didnt give up on the play, while DHB did, and he pulled in the deflection. He DID NOT cleanly intercept the actually pass, as you have just lied and stated.
Talk out of your mouth to me sideways again, you f#ckin scrub, I want you to. Everyone here knows youre a hoe cake. Everyone. You are universally recognized as a b!tch. You spend hours a day on a blog, for years, and you have zero respect. Youre existence is sad. Dont even think about matching wits with me again. You are officially DEAD on this blog to me. NEXT!

Goodson in ZBS is definitely better than DMC.
DMC in power scheme was fantastic.
Still, for all his talents and superior athletic ability, DMC should be a stud regardless of scheme.

He’d be stellar. One of his many strengths is his uncanny vision. A lot of his big runs are on cutbacks where he reads no hole and changes direction. The Vikings actually run a ZBS hybrid where most the line blocks down one way and then they always have a blocker going counter on the backside to open up the escape route.

It was an excellent play call by the demonized Knapp. Let’s be real. Palmer could’ve run that one in, and his play fake is even more credible because NOBODY is going to expect him to boot the other way.
And Pryor almost BLEW it by staring down the safety where he was going. If Gilchrist is any good he reads that and stays with Pryor. Alas, he’s part of the Chargers crap defense.
The throw to Streater was nice. Pryor does have one good throw in his arsenal, the over the top floater. But until he shows about 4 or 5 more types, he’s doomed. All the DBs need to do is keep everything in front of them, because he can only beat you with guys getting behind. With his floaters, they just drill the waiting WRs in the back like they did to Streater.

If you look at Luck and RG3 most of their losses were at the beginning of their season.
First 4 Games
Luck 2-2
RG3 2-2
First 8 games
Luck 5-3
RG3 3-5
=====
The problem is, the best passing start of the year for the Redskins was from Cousins, in his first start ever. Not RGIII’s fault but it does make you wonder about the system and situation. Luck has started all his games, so we don’t have the same evidence to look at Indy without Luck.

OK, can ANYONE justify that ball to Moore on the out that went as high as it went far? With some zip, that’s an easy 15 yard gain. With the loft, it could be Moore in the hospital.
Followed by a duck behind Streater into triple coverage. This guy is just dangerous to the Raiders WRs, because he only has one throw.

He also knew how to read a defense, audible into better matchups to find isolations, and then put the ball out in front of his receivers so they weren’t standing flat footed waiting for the ball to come down. Instead they take the 10 yard pass running in stride and add another 15 after. Classic WCO.

Recapping my QBs predictions (get them in now boys and let’s see who was right)
—–
Assuming 50ish % of the snaps we’ll see:
Pryor:
– 5-12 passing (around 40-45%), 50-60 yards, 2 INTs
– 5-7 runs for maybe 50-60 yards, most of which will be on a single play.
– One TD scored either running or passing.
– About the same odds as a TD for one fumble on either a run or in waiting too long trying to prove he’s a pocket pass early and getting drilled.
– At least 1 each delay of game, time out wasted as the clock winds down (probably called by the coach from the sideline), several cadence related false starts, and probably zero read based adjustments of the alignment pre-snap
Leinhart:
– 9-14 passing, 115 yards, 1 INT, 1 TD
– 1 run for 2 yards
- A couple nice audibles that set up big running plays on draws
– No credit
——
***************
i’ll say pryor does this:
8-17 95 yards 1 int
8 rushes 65 yards 1 td 1 fumble

I will say that was Pryor’s best play of the game. Of his career. He bought time and found the open guy. It wasn’t a progression, it was jail break ad libbing. Sure it helped that Weddle slipped, but buying time in the pocket gets some credit for creating that.

The only problem with kind of play is it’s 50% TD and 50% interception when you just lob it up there and pray. For every nice play, there’s the downside where it’s a lost chance to put points on the board.
Hopefully, he’s done enough to raise his league clout just a bit. I’m afraid his lack of arm on tape will lower it just as much, as it’s Tebow and Vince Young all over again. Still, might get as much as a 4th for him now.

And what QB looks good in 2013’s draft anyway
maybe Aaron Murray? maybe Tyler Wilson?
i mean, Geno Smith LOOKED GARBAGE in that bowl…he was exposed v. Kansas St., too.

TP scored three touchdowns in a slippery, messy field, ran out of trouble time after time, and performed well beyond expectations.
Still, Dennis Allen is a dweeb, Reggie speaks as if he just came back from the dentist, and Gregg Knapp is circling the drain.

That was a hell of a nice first game for TP. He performed better than any QB on the roster in the red zone.
DA was wrong again. What a pathetic coach. So was Papa, if he said what he was quoted to have sai, he’s a moron as well. TP got the team to the line and ready to play better than CP. he had a few bad passes, but all QB’s do. The garbage receivers need an upgrade.

too many losses bring skepticism and unrealistic people…so no matter what Pryor does, if he doesnt win..it isnt good enough…despite the fact he showed heart
it doesnt matter to most people.

If anything…TP should definitely be the #2 QB next year at the very least.

Since Leinart is total crap, that would have to be true.

Strange, but true…
If the opening kickoff isn’t returned for a TD there’s a good chance it’s 21-17 Raiders right now.
Say what you want about Tarver, but there’s no question that this defense has improved as the year has gone on.
Upgrade a few positions on that side of the ball and they could be pretty good next year.

What people wont admit is our O outperformed theirs
********************************************************
Our O had a lot of opportunities to gain yards and first downs and failed to do so. Dropped passes, errant throws, missed blocking assignments, you name it. Add to that a couple of boneheaded penalties at exactly the wrong time, and I don’t think you can really praise the overall offensive execution of the team too much.
That said, I thought Pryor showed pretty much what he should have. Impressed with his leadership and command on the field, didn’t have too many issues with clock management, and obviously made some very nice plays, both with his feet and his arm. Made some rookie mistakes, but he’s a rookie for all intents and purposes and that’s to be expected.
If he wants to compete and win the starting job next year though, he’s going to have to make a thousand throws a day of all different kinds in the offseason. If there’s one thing you absolutely have to be in the NFL, it’s accurate.
