McClain arrested again

Embattled Raiders middle linebacker Rolando McClain was arrested in Alabama on Tuesday.
According to WHNT-TV, McClain was pulled over for a window-tint violation. McClain proceeded to give the police officer that pulled him over a false name.
At that point, McClain was arrested. He later posted bond and was released from Decatur City Jail.
This comes on the heels of an incident late in 2011, when McClain was convicted of four misdemeanors, including discharging a firearm. Charges later were dropped when the person that accused McClain of shooting a gun next to his ear decided not to proceed.
Raiders coach Dennis Allen suspended McClain for two games for conduct detrimental to the team in the second half of the 2012 season. McClain was inactive for Oakland’s final three regular-season games.
It’s likely that the Raiders will seek to trade McClain in the near future. If they can’t find any takers, they likely then would release him.
He was the No. 8 pick in the 2010 NFL draft out of Alabama. He has failed to develop into the dominant player the Raiders envisioned.

I’m not some big Vick fan but dont act like he had no success in Philly when he was protected well, was in convo for MVP just a couple short years ago.
    ———————————————–
Vick with Jamaal Charles, Dexter McCluster, Tony Moeaki, Peyton Hillis, Cyrus Gray, Steve Breaston.

The Chiefs are gonna let Branden Albert walk and replace him with Joeckel #1. Not resigning Albert will give them room to resign Bowe.

When you start looking at things from that angle, Vick could work for them. At the least, it would make things a little more interesting in the AFC West.

+1. Seattles is one of the most balanced teams in the league offensive/defensive. When that offense is rollin, especially with Beast Mode and since they installed some read option to get Russell movement, theyve been pretty tough to stop. Over the 2nd half of the season, their offense has been VERY fluid.

Every QB need “protection” to be great without you may be pretty good but when it counts more times than not your qb will fail with bad oline play. Big Ben is the exception too this rule but he had a great D to carry the team. And now that Pitt is getting long in the tooth on D and they havent really addressed the oline problems other than drafting Pouncey you see they are starting to move back to the pack.

Too a point this can be true. But Vick changed his game and became more of a pocket passer. He became more effective as a QB last year.

I do agree with you on running QBs. The wave of the future will get you 6-12 months of rehab. That style of play won’t fly for the long term. Not when you are 215 lbs and getting blasted. I don’t see RGIII being the same again. He’s either going to keep playing his style and get killed or the coaches are going to force him to change his game. And he might just have to because his knee is never going to be the same.

Thats how I see it. Reid isnt going to leave his things to the O-line again. Joeckel is looking real attractive to him right about now. Especially with Branden Albert getting ready to walk. Id actually be willing to bet that Reid even thinks he could get some production out of Cassell or Quinn before he would ignore the O-line in his new job. I just dont see KC passing Joeckel up. And if they did, for some odd reason, Jacksonville then becomes the attractive trade partner, not us. Im just hoping that Reggie gets the pick right, because at #3, regardless of what KC or Jags do, there WILL be an elite defensive prospect available for us. Reggie better not let his gut make a dumb @ss draft decision.

Manning and Brady have both missed signifigant time because of injuries as have our own CP3 and Drew Brees so that argument is kinda lame. BTW Steve Young Ran alot and I dont remember him having many injuries.

There is always an exception to every rule, and yes, Sea (and SF) are getting by mostly with defense right now (as did Den before Manning showed up).

But when you see a stat that ALL eight teams still alive are averaging a full TD a game more than the Raiders, I just don’t see how sacks can make that much difference next year.

Yes, our defense is horrible, and its tempting to start attacking it now, but I still think the QUICKEST fix is offense. Its been ten years since I’ve watched a playoff game.

Allen and McK need to do something QUICK to get us back there… even if its one and done. I simply don’t think that can be achieved with defense.

I have to comment on this romac article.

In know way do i want to excuse the behavior of this young man, he is however clearly a deeply troubled person.

I feel that romac is a cautionary tale for all black people, as the trappings of his upbringing and the conditions he faced have produced this result. While it is easy to point the dirty end of the stick at romac fro the way he has handled himself in his young manhood, it is fair to consider that a person that has been through what he has may have a difficult time making rational decisions. In Fact based on the incidents with guns and violence he has been involved going back to his bama days, it is safe to say that if not for being a famous football player romac would be in or headed fro prison.

Romac shows all of the signs of mental illness. This is rampant in our community. Unfortunately because he is such a high profile person, his story is a spectacle. However you can go into any so called hood and find young men suffering from the same illness and facing similar circumstances in their formative years, and there after.

Violence, and a clear pattern of being disconnected with his own reality, are sure signs of post slavery syndrome.

We must find a way to educate our own youth so that we may have young men like romac serve as viable warriors and not the frankenstein’s monsters nearly 500 years of slavery have sought to make us.

This is the result of having your captors name, celebrating his holidays, worshiping his gods, eating his diet, and so on. This is what happens when a person has lost the knowledge of self. A person that has lost the knowledge of self is susceptible to living the life of a savage or cave man.

This is sadly also the way we are often characterized inn the media, as a tragic story of this magnitude is made to represent all black males.

Look at this picture, it shows romac on fire with violence and rage screaming wildly while holding his genitalia. The classic brute image.

I wish him well and hope he can find one of our many clinical specialist in the mental health field. You can only counter the effort to produce this result with countering so called amerikkkan culture all together.

romac is a cuationary tale that should be shared with every black youth especially those in sports

I agree with you that the quickest fix for THIS team would be offense. But I think we have the personnel to score points as is, and that we just need a creative OC/playcaller to utilize the weapons we have. The offense was already GOOD in 2011, and we didnt lose any major pieces, aside from Bush. We can improve the line, we can improve at WR, yes, but I just really feel that this offense is a good OC away from being a force. Just too many speed mismatches.

No way are Ray Lweis or Brian Urlacher non factors in a game like that the way Manti was in any point in their careers.
