Raiders close `Mt. Davis’ _ capacity 53,200

The Raiders announced Wednesday they will reduce capacity at O.co Coliseum by nearly 10,000 to 53,200 in 2013 and relocate approximately 4,850 fans from the east side high-rise structure known as “Mt. Davis.’’

Raiders CEO Amy Trask described the decision as a “tool’’ to insure games remain on local television as well as promote more of a community atmosphere.

Fans who paid $260 per season ticket on the east side structure will be moved to the west side third deck and their tickets will cost $250 this season _ or $10 per game including preseason games.

Fans near the 50-yard line in the third deck who were paying $610 per ticket will have their ticket prices cut to $250.

The Raiders had just one television blackout in eight regular-season games in 2012 with help from the NFL’s `85 percent’’ rule, which allowed them to declare a sellout (and give the NFL a bigger cut of the ticket sales) if 85 percent of their non-suite tickets were sold by Thursday.

The average regular-season attendance for the Raiders in 2012 was 54,217.

Trask said closing of the east structure would be made in lieu of the 85 percent rule. The club is also planning to eliminate other “tools’’ to achieve sellouts such as 2-for-1 ticket giveaways sponsored by companies such as Compass Media and Hawaiian Airlines.

The A’s have tarped off sections of the third deck since 2006, reducing capacity for baseball to the 34,000 range. The Jacksonville Jaguars have reduced capacity by approximately 10,000 in the same manner.

According to Trask, NFL rules state that once a club closes off a section, it cannot be re-opened for any games regardless of ticket demand _ even in the case of the postseason.

Trask said the Raiders are continuing to focus their energy for a new stadium on the current site and have been in talks with the city and county, with the next round of discussions coming next week.

would he be at the test facility for sporst conditioning if he was not concerned about his own weight?

Im glad he is taking responsibility for his own nutrion and conditioning. these are examples of things that must be taught, and not ideas that a person is born knowing

Every black person can look to their own families and see examples of people that are ill informed on nutrition health exercise or proper diet

Just because he was an athlete doesnt mean he is immune to the ills that affect the black community including a lack of knowledge of self
    ***********************

Yeah Russell never has been informed on nutrition lol….excuses

You have no community…stop with that schit! Yeah you lack knowledge of self….tell me where you are from…what tribe then Mr Africa….what sort of folk ways do your people have?

Dont bother answering cuz you dont know
    =================

if you have a student that hasnt learned multiplication how can you teach him algebra?

Russel was ill informed on nutrtion and exrcise as he was a star athlete without ever having to be informed all the way through college

. When the information was presented to him he rejected it, thinking he didnt need it. That is a maturity issue and we can look at ourselves at 21-22 year sold and find that we also rejected information believing we knew best, only to dicover later how foolish that was.

The tribe question is difficult because of 450 years of slavery that interupted our kinship lineage. How or why should that stop me from learing about our ancetral home land or black people world wide?

Answers for your other question easy, and i dont expect anyone to do what I have done, nor would i condemn anyone for not folowing my example.

    1. I have my own name and so do my children. We do not carry slave names

    2. we dont eat a slave diet or a so called amerikkkan diet

    3. we reject and abstain from all euro centric holidays
xmas- easter- valnetines- halloween and so on.

    4. i counter the racist mis education of the school system with our own education culuture and history. So instead of loving george washington, we love Nat Turner.

These are small steps that we have taken but it qualifies for a start. My children will one day go further than i have and they will be able to unite with other like minded black people.

i dont need to know which tribe i come from because no matter what geographic location black people are born in or have been exported to we all suffer the same plights.

    1. Emancipation Proclmation 1862
    2. Right to vote at that time not 100 years later
    3. Johnson worked with mostly Republicans to get the Civil Rights act passed. Senate Democrats from the South tried to block it. One was the mentor of a famous Democrat you may have heard of – Bill Clinton!

you do realize that ther were sevarl thriving black owned communities in amerikkka post slavery right?

They were undermined and destroyed purposely by the ameriakkkn government.

Look up black wall street for an example.

This is the main reason the amerikkka wanted so called integration to keep this from continuing or happening in more places.

Cointel pro fbi documents admit to this very action.

This is why leaders have been assinated, to undermine the growth of independant black communities.

would a govenrmnt spend billions of dollars to destroy something that didnt exist in the first place?

Garvey had the single largest black organization in the history of this country, and was so hated and feared he was exiled.

So should we simply accept the condition that we are in, or do something to change it?

again you may not even think you are a part of this, yet im willing to bet that you do your best to be a good example for your own black family youth.

And if you think Reggie is going to walk away from 9 mill and lose his BEST PLAYER and a first and a second, you have no mind left. Its the stupidest suggestion in the history of suggestions.

    ===========

he already lost his 1st and 2nd round pick..and Palmer is not our best player. McFadden is our best player . every player on the roster and the rest of the league know mcfadden is our best player. he had a crappy year obviously, that actually just proved his worth.. When he is in the line up and does well, we do well. period. this season showed as much as ever that he is our MVP, whereas we NEED him to play well. the raiders the last 3 seasons have gone as darren mcfadden goes. the games we won were all games he played well in. ..carson palmer had one of the best statiscitcal years of his career and we were still 4-12…that dude is not that important. he is not our best player. Mcfadden is, that is why they are building an offense around mcfadden, not palmer. they canned knapp stricly because of mcfadden, they know that he has superstar potential, palmer is past that time where he had that potential, way past it. we won more games in half a season lat year with jason camppbell and a crappy defense because we had who? Mcfadden,, who was leading the league in rushing. Yea he has a hard time staying healthy, and he is strictly a power back. so what, he is probably, outside of peterson, the best power scheme rb in the league. teams have to account for him on every play, even when he wasn’t playing good teams would still stack the box.

If palmer is willing to restructure his contract significantly to help the raiders cap so they can ge more players, I’m all for it. Let pryor learn more from a guy he obviously respects and actually let pryor get a full year of at least backup snaps in practice rather than nothing at all and let him learn the offense. ..if he is not wiling to restructure thanhe obviously doesn’t care about the raiders getting better and is more concerned about himself, which a lot of players are. but if he isn’t willing to restructure to make this team better why would you want a guy like that under center, especially a team already devoid of leadership

Your “solution” is crazy. Putting all our eggs in the Pryor basket when even he himself would admit he is not ready.

Well ok. Fine. A 3.3 YPC back last year is debatable… lets just say CP was our best player LAST YEAR.

But I don’t think we should dump McFadden either. And I have no problem with CP restructuring or taking a pay cut. I think he will do whatever is best for the TEAM.

What drives me crazy are the people that just say screw it, lets dump CP and see what Pryor can do! Or dump him and draft Geno!

Those are not viable or sensible solutions short term.

It’s easy to say what you believe when you base it on lifes experiences but when it’s not based on lifes experiences it’s hard to have believe.

A community by definition, is a people with common interest living in a particular area. Simple as that, now to extend it you can have commonwealth meaning for the best interest of those of the community. So as long as you have a population of people with common beliefs and living in the same area it is by definition a community.
