    what’s up Fart?

    LOL

  • The Big Banana

he’s broke, so now we gotta find a punter at the flea market or a garage sale

    —–

Lechler himself is gonna find himself in the garage sale. He no longer has the goods.

  • Gdog

Well, the moron twins JFB and Rockstar woke up… (as one of them sez “we’re not twins”) along with Mistic, the IQ vacuum.

    Have fun folks!!

Today is franchise tag designation deadline day. It will be an interesting news day, just not from the Raiders.

  • Just Fire Baby

I think the “Isotopes” is a play on the Los Alamos lab and all that cool New Mexico history.

Ok, somone last night said he heard the Raiders are waiting until June 1 to release him, but you know all things Raiders as the “forum insider.”

    I guess we shall see…

If there is a problem with the offense there are only to position groups that are at fault in my opinion.

    The qb and o line.

O line has holes carlisle brissel and barnes., these guys did a fair job in pass protection at times, but sucked in run blocking.

The biggest wart on offense though has to be the qb. 22 tds against 19 turnovers isnt good enough especially when you consider it was done in only 14 games.

Unless these two groups are address it doesnt matter who is catching passes. Piss poor qb play means weather its jerry rice hands, or a worm with no hands ultimately wouldnt matter.

truly we dont know how good or bad the wr group is, because the scheme change hampered them and the qb did not favor or feature them.

They were considered a bright spot with a big future in 2011, and they regressed this past season.

The scheme change will help them, and a change will do wonders.

Any talk of trading or cutting our most explosive players is simply foolish. Also you must consider that the defense as it stands is not very good.

You better be able to score and score a lot.

Jc and hu jack did that and posted a 12-7 record based on it.

If the wr group is so bad how the hell did we post 26 points per game in 2011?

  • The Big Banana

you wouldn’t purchase a JaMarcus Russell jersey for 25 cents and light that baby on fire ??

Hey, that Russell jersey would be appropriate attire for a burger or buffet outing. Let those folks know you mean business.

any of these guys interest you?

or should we just go the undrafted rookie free agent route?

  • guest123

We could pick up a punter off waivers at the final cut deadline in Sept. Punter’s aren’t suppposed to be paid multiple millions.

RRS – I just don’t see Lechler commanding a big contract at this stage. If his tired old leg is still thought to be better than King’s raw wild one, offer him average punter money. If he declines, let him walk. Does he really want to switch teams at this stage for slightly better money?

    true or false?

  • Just Fire Baby

King will have a “punt and hold” competition with some other undrafted FA this year in camp.

Might be one of the more exciting camp battles.

I am hoping we bring in Taylor Accardi as his competition.

  • Just Fire Baby

Dude has two career 80+ yard punts, and averaged over 51.1 yards last year.

His net was higher than King’s average in 2011.

Alamagordo and nearby Trinity site, first A-test, all part and parcel with Los Alamos, I think. Not going off on that tangent right now.
Tell your cousin to call triples and/or triple plays “trinity’s”.

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

I am super impressed by what pryor is doing so far in the off season. we have not even reached march madness in college hoops or made it out of cactus league in baseball and this young man is grinding hard.

he already has the playbook and has ALL OF THE BEST WR TALENT ON OUR TEAM WORKING WITH HIM!!

They are not at some fancy facility, they are the local junior college working with no fan fare. This is like the boxer that wakes up at 4 am for a 10 mile jog, even when he isnt training for a fight.

DHB, dmo17, ford and streeter have all been seen with pryor putting in work.

This tells me ALL OF THEM feel the urgency. AlL of them want to improve in the worst way.

All want to win, and ALL BELIEVE AND FOLLOW PRYOR.

Dont look now but we have a new leader on this team. he is picking up where JC left off, and filling the void that showed when jc left.

    THis should be celebrated.

Pryor will elevate the team thorough his incredible play making ability, but more importantly, through his ethic preparation method sacrifice and leadership.

This is why the offense failed last year. WHO WAS THE LEADER?

pryor is the type that matches a head coaches intensity, if not exceeds it in this case.

pryor has a maniacal jordan like work out and prep focus and has a chip on his shoulder the size of california.

he reminds me of one of my fave raider qbs ever, JEFF HOSTETLER. There was never a question of the leadership when he was here. he was also an unheralded player that made himself into a champion, then came to oaklnd and willed our team to wins many times.

he would throw “ducks” and wobblers” but he posted w’s. pryor has the same mentality and fire. gannon was also a 5 am guy, like pryor is. trust me raider fans we have been blessed by the football gods this time.

He will hit the ground running come training camp if they keep this up, and he will blow the doors off oco coliseum.

    I cant wait

    Just Fire Baby Says:

    ====================================================

And that history’s not cool. It’s hot. Radioactive, even.

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

Oh another thing that should be pointed out as to why pryor becoming the leader is so impressive.

pryor is not waiting for permission to step into this role. Like any natural leader he is naturally stepping in because he can sense the void.

You have to ask yourself, why would players like ford moore and dhb far more veteran players follow pryor a largely untested player with very little field time under his belt?

how has he been able to get one of the nmost highly paid players (DHB) to show up and follow/

How has he convinced them to back him up with only a half week of starter practice reps and one start to his credit?

They must see and know what some of his here know,

Pryor is an outstanding player and natural leader and they believe they can win with him.

If they did not they wouldnt give him the time of day.

  • Just Fire Baby

    he already has the playbook

Mistic….as I’ve been hearing since end of season Pryor has been in the BAY AREA working and working and working

That is great news if he is gonna QB this year. Still got some mechanics issues he must improved

If he does play we are at an advantage in the realm of no team really has film on him. One game at end of season cant give you a good look to really know what the deal is

  • Mistic1 Tha Supavillain

    purv,

im sure the idea of post traumatic slave syndrome or trans-generational trauma do strike you as curious.

Those are terms and diagnosis that have been discovered, documented and declared by black psychologist clinical therapist and the like.

These are very real conditions that are unique the black experience through the entire diaspora.

Have you ever wondered how it is that so many black youth end up in prison, or dead? why we die of preventable disease at a higher rate than anyone else?

Why so many black athletes end up on drugs or in trouble with the law?

The above mental illness conditions along with depression is the answer.

i think javon walker darrel russel, jamarcuss, des bryant, romac are all excellent examples of this epidemic

  • HayesDaze37

It’s a great day to be a Raiders fan. Isn’t it?!

C’mon, Cork…Jer…Becker — Franchise/Transition Tags are being about to go down…and Free Agency is right around the corner.

Where are the good rumors? The likely moves? Of the Players we know are coming onto the market, who would be the best fit/s? Where are the juicy insider tips? Where’s the beef??

Here…I’ll help with one: Goodbye Shane Lechler. Was nice knowin’ ya…loved watching (and hearing) those booming punts.

    Punters

    1. Shane Lechler, Oakland Raiders

    2012 Cap Hit: $4.9m
    2012 Performance Based Value: $1.3m
    Value Differential: -$3.6m

When you make 163% more money than the second-highest paid player at your position, you better be the best without question. Unfortunately for the Raiders, this was nowhere near true for Lechler in 2012, with his 47.2 yards per punt winding up just ninth in the league. He had 24 punts downed inside the 20-yard line compared to nine touchbacks — not a good ratio. While part of that ratio depends on the rest of the special teams, there is no point paying a punter so much if he can’t get any help in this regard.
