“Vic Tafur, the Raiders beat writer for the San Francisco Chronicle sat down with Madden today and the great one shared his opinion on Dennis Allen’s first year as the head coach of the Raiders. While Madden did not go into great detail, breaking down how Allen’s first season went, what he did say was very telling. Basically, Madden stated that Allen was coaching a team that simply did not have enough talent on it to do much better than the 4-12 record the first year head coach put up.

Now, it is no surprise to hear that the Raiders lacked talent this past season, anyone who watched the games could see it. What is interesting about Madden’s comments is that he did not think there was much hope for the Raiders to have fared better than they did in 2012. That seems to go along with what a lot of people are saying, that Allen should get a pass on his first season because he had so little talent to work with.”

The good news is these guys are about the same as the guys they may replace for a lot less money. (Shaugnessy,Bryant,Wheeler).
