Parsons, Ross, Stewart all on board

Guard/center Alex Parsons, cornerback/safety Brandian Ross and running back Jeremy Stewart all signed their exclusive rights contracts and were presumably present at the Raiders first day of their offseason workeout program Monday.

All were on the 53-man roster last season at the close of the season and could conceivably make it again. Ross saw time as a starting cornerback and Stewart performed well in two games when Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson were both out with injuries.

The Raiders started their offseason workout program today in Alameda. It’s likely that there will be media access to the players at some point in the coming days.

    Raiders will take Fisher if he is there.

    DA and Reggie gave him some of the biggest praise at senior bowl, him and then zigggy.

    They said senior bowl gave them great advantage to see players up close and get to know them and that they would use that to select in draft.

    DA isn’t exactly exciting but I’m giving him time. Coaches like Tom Flores, tony dungy, bill walsh, and Tom Landry weren’t exactly thrilling at presets either.

    We don’t know if he’s getting it done until we see in the field.

    The proof is in the pudding.

    2011′s team was a charade. They fell hard down the stretch and were not very good.

    I’m not surprised how last season went at all.

    2013 needs to a more competitive and fiery team. More fight. If that happens, I will know it’s working.

    The defense needs to be more nfl-caliber and the offense needs to be more dynamic.

    All these Reggies haters.I got a question for you,what would u guys have done resign overpaid underachievng players? You cant no cap space.Maybe get big time free agents no again no cap space. All these rocket scientist I hope u realize this house cleaning should have happened years ago but AL (god rest his soul) wouldnt allow it.AL was great in the70s 80s and 90s but the game past him by and his pride killed him in the 2000s.This year is gonna be tough granted but it cant get much worse and we r projected to 69 mllion under the cap next year. Thats how u turn a francise around.
    NICE JOB REGGIE

    ===============

    Keep the offense in tact…

    Re-sign Satelle at C and let Saunders or someone that was already on
    staff work with Saunders in calling the plays, along with keeping Wylie

    Use the top draft pick(no grandpa bergstrom) and FA(no briesel) signing from last year on DEFENSIVE PLAYERS…

    The O stays productive, the D has the potential to improve over Breshnahan.

    Oh, and don’t change the Special Teams Coaches either.

    Then yo can “rebuild” the defense while continuing the strides made on offense instead of just blowing up the whole team & “hoping” it will work.

    I’m not a rocket scientist so how much salary cap space do you need for this?
    ====================
    Im not saying hes perfect the 2 bs along with those corners were big flops Burris a 5th rounder was the only high point.This is my opinion i fell this years coaching staff is huge huge improvement along with the majority of free agents they picked up.Only time will tell and if there is a change for the better on all aspects than great if not go ahead and rip me. All I want is this team to be great again and the last 11 years was torture.But trying to say this house cleaning wasnt needed ur dilusional

    UTAH JAZZ at MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

    Plenty of televisions and mobile devices in Southern California will be tuned into this game, which reunites the previous and current fans of the Lakers in a way that has probably never happened before. The Jazz have to win out and hope the Lakers fall in their regular season finale against Houston to claim the playoff bid they have been chasing vigorously the past month.

    “Focus. Focus,” Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said. “They play well at home. They have great fans in Minnesota. They’re really going to be hyped for this game. They know how important it is for us. So that’s really going to motivate them to be spoilers, so we want to come in focused and ready to play.”

    Al Jefferson worked the Timberwolves for a career-high tying 40 points in a 107-100 home win over the Timberwolves on Friday night. The Jazz will need more of the same from him tonight if they are going to continue the fight for their playoff lives another day. The Timberwolves, on the other hand, control the Lakers’ destiny tonight.

    HOUSTON ROCKETS at PHOENIX SUNS

    The Rockets’ playoff bid was locked up last week, but they are clinging to that sixth seed right now with an opportunity to determine their own fate with wins, tonight in Phoenix and Wednesday against the Lakers. They already own the tiebreaker over Golden State by virtue of their 3-1 edge in the season series and they hold a 2-1 lead over the Lakers.

    But they can’t slip up in these final two games. If they do, the Lakers will not only even the season series Wednesday night, they’ll gain the tiebreaker over the Rockets by virtue of their better record against Western Conference teams. The Rockets can render all of that critical minutiae useless by simply continuing to do what they have done during this recent stretch that has seen them win six of their last eight games, and that’s handle the business at hand.

    Go Rockettes!!

    Just because we’ve been so bad the past 10 years, doesn’t mean we need to lower our standars. When we had Jamarcus, seeing Bruce come in was such a relief. When we were so bad at WR, seeing Ford go up and catch balls was such a relief, McClain was so bad, seeing Burris try was such a relief, etc… See the Pattern? But being slightly better than your predecessor isn’t/shouldn’t be good enough. Reggie needs to do more now, not just in 2014 or however long people want to extend his pass.

    Cutting players takes no skill or talent, signing people who agree to come here for the league minimum takes not skill or talent. What has Reggie done besides not be named “Al Davis” that has earned him so much faith from you guys?
