Citing multiple sources, NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline reports the Raiders “will consider” trading down with the Lions if one of the draft’s top-two left tackles is available at No. 3.
There are a lot of “ifs” here, but it’d be a trade Oakland would love to do, and address a massive weakness in Detroit. It’s logical. If the Chiefs draft Luke Joeckel and the Jaguars take Dion Jordan, the Lions would then trade up with the Raiders to select Eric Fisher. The Raiders would move down, perhaps add a third-rounder, and take their highest-rated player left. Per Pauline, that would be either Sharrif Floyd or Star Lotulelei.

This would be gravy for us if this played out with the Lions. Could you see the lions taking Star and lining him up with Suh? Wow!!!!!!!!! That is a lot of beef up front.

Floyd seems to be one of those guys that breathes his position, breathes football, takes his reputation as a ball player and a defender to heart. Anyone know if that’s a fair assessment?

thoughts on CB D.J. Hayden to RAIDERS?

  • RaiderRockstar

If this happened I would be so happy I just may cry! We need draft pics man. And in a deep draft, I would give up #3 pic in a drop of a hat for a deal like this one!

    @CJL

Dennis Allen is close friends with Mike McCoy. Reggie might be able to sucker SD’s new GM. It would take a bounty like that (#1378) for the powder blues to move up and grab a franchise LT to protect Phyllis Rivers

    There has been a trade:

    St Louis trades #22 to Buffalo for #41, #105 & 2014 3rd.

Ok give it a rest now Mel, Who cares what happens after our pick anyways.

I’m not big on third rounders for this Raider team, this draft. Reggie isn’t trying to simply fill slots; he’s looking at this year and the next two years and trying to get difference makers at a few positions so each first round/second round pick is crucial. Yes, there are lots of guys in the HOF who were not taken in the first two rounds, but there’s too much luck involved in knowing who a difference maker in those mid-rounds are.

at this point, who knows? #DraftDayRumors

  • itzSteve

This is gonna be a fun day! Come on Reggie…it’s time to play “Let’s make a deal!” I say Reggie trades back three times in the first round, collecting a couple of 2nd and 3rd round picks for this year, and a couple more 2nd and 3rd round picks next year along with possibly a 1st rounder…

  • RaiderRockstar

    new post ladies!!

  • shutdown

It’s at this point on draft days that purposeful leaks occur. Teams feed hungry sports hacks some “we’re thinking about” crap to make other teams antsy and hopefully make them sweeten the pot of any offer they might make.

New Post? Really it aint bootin up on refresh.

  • aking4life

Trading down and taking Datone Jones

  • Football Coach

If the Raiders trade down pretty deep into round 1, I would not mind if they picked Manuel.

Great Senior Bowl, won 4 Bowl Games in college, prototype size, great athleticism, good accuracy, strong arm, zip on his passes. A combo of Pryor and Flynn, and better than both those guys.

Here he is carrying FSU against Clemson last year:

    Question:

if San Diego wants to move up to #3 and draft Lane Johnson, what would they have to give up?

    Pick #3 = 2200 pts

    Pick #11 = 1250 pts
    Pick #45 = 450 pts
    Pick #76 = 210 pts
    Pick #110 = 74 pts

plus maybe they give us the rights to RFA WR Danario Alexander??

I don’t see SD trading within the Dev. Would be a great trad ethough.
