Raiders find a new flagship station

The Raiders announced a few minutes ago that they have partnered with 95.7 The GAME (KGMZ-FM) to be the team’s flagship radio station. They signed a multi-year agreement.
“We are delighted to begin this exciting new relationship with 95.7 The GAME and we look forward to working with
Compass Media to establish a broad affiliate network throughout California and beyond,” Raiders
chief executive Amy Trask said.
As for the station:
“The best NFL coverage in the Bay Area just got even better,” said Dwight Walker, Vice President/General
Manager of Entercom San Francisco. “We welcome the Raider Nation, one of the most passionate and engaged
fan bases in the NFL, to 95.7 The GAME.”

    ‘Sup fellas.

Just like Coach Allen, I feel like a lil kid on Christmas Eve. LOL. Oh, the anticipation.

    IR Johnny,

Put me down for Ziggy Ansah, after a trade back a few spots.

Raiders coaches worked that kid hard for a reason.

    Can’t wait!

ESPN’s Ed Werder reports the Dolphins and Chiefs have shelved talks for disgruntled LT Branden Albert until after both teams make their first-round picks.
Both Werder and NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport hint there’s a chance the Dolphins will trade up to select one of the draft’s big-three tackles, so the Chiefs are rolling the dice. A desperate Jeff Ireland is capable of anything, so we wouldn’t rule out a move up from No. 12 into the top-five. It is unlikely, however. Related: Dolphins

Exactly right. This is completely uncharted territory for the Oakland Raiders. Which is probably a good thing.

All I know is Reggie better give me a good pick. If he picks an interior lineman, it will be so deflating.

    DRAFT DAY LET’S GOOOOOO!!

I’m scared we draft crap with RM.

  • boss01

Mingo is a beast, top performer at the combine amongst LB’s for:

    40 yd dash: 4.58 sec
    Vertical Jump: 37 inch
    Broad Jump: 128 inch
    3 cone drill: 6.84 sec

Too bad Reggie already hitched his wagon to scrub LB’s through free agency. Don’t see him drafting Mingo.

  • dr_robert

    Welcome to the family feud!

The topic is “first round picks”

    Ur first answer?

We huddle. “Ansah. Johnson. Joekel. Jordan.”

    Ok, Reggie. Ur answer?

    Hayden!

    Crickets.

  • realtruraider

Hyden would be a great pick if we traded down, if you think we are set at CB you are fooling yourself, 2 backups as our starters on 1 year deals not good enough

  • DaTruth91

Enough of the mingo talk… Its not gonna happen. maybe if Al were still in charge, but not this year.

Reggie loves players that love football. Mingo has admittedly not tried his best last year. Its just not gonna happen

    INTERESTING OBSERVATION:

    Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 34m

Time to change this: Over past 9 years, Raiders are only NFL that has not drafted a Pro-Bowl player in first round.

  • realtruraider

    *Hayden

  • Chris in NY

Preference 1: Trade back at least twice and take Margus Hunt, DE, SMU late in the first while picking up several round 1-3rd round selections this year and/or next.
Preference 2: Trade back a few spots if we can still get Jordan or Ansah.
Preference 3: Take Dion Jordan at No. 3.

    REGGIE’S CREDIBILITY IS ESTABLISHED TONIGHT:

He either comes out on top or loses all support and credibility. There’s no middle road.

  • Relentless

    Can we draft Leon Sandcastle?

  • theghostronin79

    LMAO….@ Sandcastle

  • DaTruth91

Im starting to like the Haden pick more and more.

He fits alot of reggie’s attributes he looks for and he is a Corner. You know Dennis Allen was begging him for a CB.

Also The value isnt there for any other postion besides CB and OT

Look up the Stats. CB’s have low Bust potential, while DT’s in the first rd are the hardest to predict and Busts are present on almost all teams.

if there was an elite 4-3 LB, than Reggie would go that direction, but since there is not, I see why he is going to DJ Hayden

  • Chris in NY

Hayden looks good on tape, but to me it’s about how quick you can get to the QB up front and not how long can one guy cover one other guy.

Also, what’s up with Reggie and his love for injured CBs? Bartell, Spencer, Porter and possibly Hayden? Weird trend.

  • DaTruth91

And Ansah is too much of a gamble. Great upside, but also can easily be a bust…

Hearng Reggie talk, you can tell in the first minute, he is not about gambles.

    Its just not gonna happen.

haydens injury was a freak one, and the doctors have cleared him. Not the same as Bartell, spencer and porter, who have a history of injury

Disagree, there are some great DT’s and DE/OLB in this draft. If you want to be great you need to build the D line and the Online first. CB’s feast when there’s pressure on the QB. Without it they struggle.
