Raiders trade with Dolphins

The Raiders traded the No. 3 pick in the NFL draft Thursday night to the Miami Dolphins.

The Raiders received Miami’s 12th pick in the first round and a second-round pick, No. 42. The Dolphins used the third pick to select Oregon outside linebacker Dion Jordan.

The Raiders entered the draft without a second-round draft pick, having sent it to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for quarterback Carson Palmer in 2011.

Considering most draft analysts felt there wasn’t a big disparity in talent from the first half of the first round to the second, it was worthwhile for Oakland to get the second-round pick lost in the Palmer deal.

Niners wanted hayden we beat them to it, so they traded up to get the best DB avialable

Good move so far, now we need to move up, give up a 6th round pick and get another solid player. DT Jonathan Hankins, RB Eddie Lacy, QB Geno Smith are interesting at this point. LB Alec Ogletree has some incredible closing speed, but is not a run stopping LB,

Deion was never a tackler. Hayden is a ball hawk, according to Reggie he is a “difference maker” read get turnovers. None of our DBs really play the ball well, so this is not a sexy pick, but a solid one. So far, Reggie did alright in that he may have messed up the Chiefs desire to get that pick for OT Branden Albert.

I hope this rookie isn’t like McClain! Spuds, didn’t actually blow this pick. But time will tell. Go Raiders!
