heard that jenkins was causing a fuss once he was benched, hope that’s not an issue here

  • dr_robert

I’d say kasa starts over Rivera too.

That’s if he beats out Gordon.

    But Rivera will play.

Most of the shows are VIP-only, with mostly industry and hot MILFs in attendance

But if you show up at the beach volleyball courts in front of the Catamaran this Sat, I’ll give out a few select passes

Of course you gotta swear you won’t touch my women, ’cause my women belong with the Dawg, got it?

You never Rolando’d a Joint of that Omar Gathier and smoked it down to a Roach? It’ll have you stuck in the mudd.

Lousy reporting in that Burnett is definitely taking Wheeler’s place at OLB.

Al wouldn’t take Rivers or Big Ben but he took Russell

    >>>

Rothy for sure because he even has the rocket arm that Al coveted. He could have simply waited a year at LT and picked the best available instead of drafting Fabian… his name? Micheal Roos. Three time pro-bowler.

The Coaching staff, QB’s and Dline are the only things that are really keeping from getting excited about this new year.

tha fuh ya’ll talkin bout jamarcus russell for man? ya’ll need to chill, this a raiders blog, not, “i know more football than this other dude so im gonna go back to the 2008 tape of jamarcus over throwing JLH to prove some misguided point.”

i dont know why i even bother reading these comments. if ya’ll gonna have a war of words about 2008 on a raider blog, ya’ll need to take a look in the mirror and figure out where things went wrong in your lives.

with exception to Burris (for Moore) and Rivera (for Kasa, he was drafted higher, which doesn’t mean he’s better does but does mean the management thinks he’s more valuable) I’d say those should be about right.

Now the real question is how many of those ‘starters’ would be so on an average nfl team? Which is to say which starters are not ‘starter quality’?

Seems to me Briesel, Streater and Rivera (or Kasa)wouldn’t make the cut on offense, while Carter, Young, Jenkins, Walker and Sims would be on D.

You might call Sims, Jenkins, Maiava, and Walker starters, or you might call them situational players who are getting their first shot at center stage. Hence 1 year prove it deals…Hopefully they prove it and our assload of cap space proves worthwhile in resigning our own guys. I predict only Walker gets decent money to stay.

    Non-starters:
    1. DE
    2. FS
    3. DT

  • WenzhouRaider

Also I bet Hayden beats out either Porter or Jenkins. Still, point of the post is to find non-starters who are PROVEN non-starters (Carter, Usama) while letting guys on one year deals like Sims and Walker prove that they are starters.

As much as I loved that trade down this year, I hope that much that they don’t do so next, and we get Jadeveon. That would transform the whole paradigm of our D.

  • Football Coach

I think we will see a base 3-4 with Sims, Walker and Houston starting on the DL, Burris and Moore at OLB and Burnett and Roach at ILB. Maiava will provide competition at LB and Carter will be a situational pass rusher.

  • dr ice 2012

Sio Moore will end up slb and Hayden will start at corner game 1 not Jenkins

I agree, Coach. But I would add Hayden as a starter.
As to Cork’s Offensive team prediction, only change is I don’t think Watson will be ready to push Barnes out at RT. And, I miss Tommy Kelly, he signed w. the Pats for 2.5 Million a year. And screw all you Kelly haters.

  • MiamiBornRaider86

Fellas, I’m just as hyped about DJ Hayden but lets remember he is only 22 yrs. old and needs time to develop IMO On that note i believe he will be a superstar and another raider great! Believe that!!!

  • raiderlization

Not a Kelly hater here, but to compare what the Pats Paid him and what the Raiders had to pay him to keep him is very different! So why not give our price to keep him? Seems you only want to bash our team! What’s up? Just like Huff and DHB got less than with us look at what McClain signed for? Pick a new topic! LMAO!

  • SnBG

Good afternoon nation. hope you all are well. This is good. Football talk this afternoon.
Hayden will beat out Jenkins and Barnes will be replaced by Watson a few games into the season. I think Ford will get another chance at starting but Streater is right there behind him. Ford better watch his back. He’s one injury away from being gone. I’m thinking 34 base D not 43.

    ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Not sure we have that luxury to develop Hayden. I think he starts from the get go.

  • papertiger418

DA concerns me, but he does have the right to build his own team. I’ll be happy if we go 6-10 this year; the record can be even worse as long as the quality of play is competitive. No more blow-out losses!

  • papertiger418

I think it’s funny that each major coach got a player drafted in corresponding order of importance:

DJ Hayden : Dennis Allen HC
Menelik Watson : Tony Sparano Asst HC
Sio Moore : Jason Tarver DC
Tyler Wilson : Greg Olson OC

I suppose that’s a luxury when you have so many needs.

  • papertiger418

    From ESPN

    Oakland Raiders:

It’s time for the Raiders to figure out their defense, where they might have as many as nine new starters — a mind-blowing reality. It seems only defensive lineman Lamarr Houston and safety Tyvon Branch are safe. Second-year linebacker Miles Burris will have a role, but he will have to fight for a starting slot. Oakland must use upcoming organized team activities to build chemistry and explore which players are suited to which roles. Oakland could stay in a 4-3 base but also should utilize multiple looks and will likely see some 3-4 hybrid looks. Head coach Dennis Allen and his staff have to see these players on the field to figure out the right sets for the right players. Oakland is essentially starting with a blank canvas on defense — exciting, unusual and scary all at once.

    FIRE REGGIE NOW.

^^ Dr. Hunter you are an idiot. Reggie is God’s Gift to the Raiders. And if you haven’t realized that yet as a Raiders fan, then re-incarnate Al Davis and let him run this show again. We might have a rough roster the next two years. But that is 199% Al Davis’s fault. We owe 50mil to players not even on our roster this year. That’s 199% Al Davis’s fault. However; in next year’s draft we will be over 50mil under the cap. That’s 110% the doing of Reggie. Reggie knows what he’s doing. He’s bringing talent without baggage to the roster. Should shut your mouth about Reggie, I’ll take him over any GM in the league.
