Raiders draft picks assigned jersey numbers

By Steve Corkran
Thursday, May 9th, 2013 at 12:50 pm in Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders selected 10 players in the NFL draft in late April. On Thursday, those players received their jersey numbers in advance of the rookie mini camp this weekend.
Of note, defensive tackle Stacy McGee received veteran defensive tackle Richard Seymour’s old number, which throws water on the possibility of the Raiders re-signing Seymour.
Also, linebacker Sio Moore now is wearing the jersey number sported by middle linebacker bust Rolando McClain the past three seasons.
Here’s the complete list:
CB D.J. Hayden — 25
OT Menelik Watson — 71
LB Sio Moore — 55
QB Tyler Wilson — 8
TE Nick Kasa — 88
RB Latavius Murray — 34
TE Mychal Rivera — 81
DT Stacy McGee — 92
WR Brice Butler — 19
DE David Bass — 51
Those 10 players, as well as the 14 undrafted free agents and eligible first-year players are expected to participate in the three-day mini camp that begins Friday. The media are allowed to attend Saturday, at which time we will post several stories and Tweets.

DA and his coach speak are disgusting. The guy is about as bland as Shell 2.0 and then some.

Other then when Rich Gannon was our QB, I have never expected to win anything over the last 25 years.

We were looking good until the 51-3 debacle against Buffalo. That is pushing 25 years ago, though.
    Had hope with Hoss.

“The question that he asked me was, ‘Did you make it out healthy?’ And with the health of our corners, with the health of our tackles, with the health of our wide receivers, I couldn’t help but get a chuckle out of it,” Allen said, via CSNBayArea.com.

    Liar!

Moore had more yards, yards per game, catches, catches per game, and TD’s last year than in 2011.

    Read option is hot? Yes.

    With good passers.

Name a team rolling with a bad passing read option guy.

I think Lechler would still be here if he wanted to be. Wasn’t the money, Houston was in his heart and it worked out for him. He said Houston was in his heart 4 years ago(5?)when Al offered him too much to turn down.

Moore did fumble more last year, and he looked awful in punt returns.

7 TD’s for a crappy offense is a lot more impressive to me than his 2011 5 TD’s with a good offense.

Fox asked DA “Did you enjoy this ass whippin’?” and DA responded “Thank you sir, may I have another.”

If I didn’t know better I’d swear some of you are rooting for Dennis Allen to fail. Shame.

Mr Davis’ teams always were a mirror of the HC he hired. From Madden to Hue Jackson. His Phylosophy was not always evident in that the only thing we always did was play man defense which was his staple however we have played every scheme defensively and offensively that the HC saw fit. Some of it he agreed with some he didn’t. He never liked the WCO but he used because the HC wanted to ie; Gruden, White, Shanahan and Kiffin. He also allowed Bugel to use his system which was a departure. It shows how much you so-called Raider fans really know about the facts.

So much crap and misunderstanding of the topic in one paragraph, I’m not sure where to start. Or if I’ll bother. I probably will. Stay tuned.

I think if that is the case, maybe YOU misunderstood the topic….next time just stay in your lane………..period

i would say the majority of the semis in here recognized how bad the players performed. is that DAs fault.? DAs defense had no pass rushers, no talented cbs, and below average lbs, so how is it his fault. he did fix the penalty issue and the players did play hard till the end.
to me its reggies job to bring in talent then da can be evaluated. many in here give reggie a pass but hammer da..makes no sense

You’re too generous. I would say that the semis in here, incapable of repressing their most juvenile tendencies, can’t help but pick an easy scapegoat who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. There is absolutely nobody in NFL circles who knows anything that wouldn’t give any coach of this team a pass knowing what they had to contend with.

Aren’t you guys glad QB Wilson isn’t wearing #6 ??

20 years ago this would have been a bigger deal..
_______________________________________________________I am glad he is not wearing #2. We already had a big pile of #2 at quarterback.

Dennis Allen and Gregg Knapp are the worst coaches I have seen in 40 years of watching pro football.

    ============

    Joe Bugel 1997
    Art Shell 2006
    Lane Kiffin 2007-08

    FAIL

    thanks for playing.

New OC, new non-elite QB, new defense, young HC and DC, cap issues – pretty unrealistic to expect success this year. Set the foundation first

    ============

would it be safe to say foundation players

    Watson – solidifies RT
    Burris – applies pass rush/blitz
Moore – the same, including some picks and game changing forced fumbles
    D.Moore – bounces back to 2011 form
Hayden – applies shut down corner ability
Bilukidi/Sims – run stoppers to decent rotational corps
Wilson – surprise QB of 2012 if Flynn is marginal
Conner Vernon – break out Wes Welker type
Sam McGuffie – break out Danny Woodhead type
    Bushnell – surprise return guy
    Mychal Rivera/Kasa – provide nice 1-2 receiving/blocking combo

the rest – ???’s – maybe Porter makes it through the entire season at corner

the poor performances were mostly by scholarship players. the newbies mostly overachieved, despite not being that good.
    look at omar gaither.

    that speaks volumes about coaching.

  • tonedeezy

also, when has a raiders coach ever handed a 1st rond draft pick a green helmet?
