    Q: Which rookie would you say will be the Rookie stand out at camp?
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    WILLY VERNON

  • RaiderRockstar

    @Duck

    Pryor is an outspoken born-again Christian, just like Tebow and about 90% of the current Oakland Raiders roster, coaching staff and upper management

    you’re kinda the odd guy out, along with the City of Oakland. Not exactly the type of environment these standup family men want to raise a family, ya know?

    Quarterbacks (4): *Matt Flynn, Terrelle Pryor, Tyler Wilson, Matt McGloin. Scouting report: Flynn will be given every chance to establish himself as the starter. Pryor should get some work in specialty packages suited to his skill set, and Wilson is a potential starter down the road as the best pure passer on the team.
    ==================================

    I have a major issue with this report

    pryor according to this so called scouting report is limited to ’specialty packages”

    this is code language for wild cat, or athlete playing qb or more of the same bias that most qbs like pryor face.

    The write up then gets worse by touting wilson as the only long term potential starter.

    Doesnt the writer know that pryor is the number 2 qb and will get every chance to play qb. Is the writer unaware that pryor will not be playing a slash Stewart role, and will major snaps in the preseason?

    Is the writer blind to the fact that the number 2 qb is first off the bench when the starter fails or is injured and will not be limited to ’specialty packages” when he is called upon to start or save a game?

    lastly the code language used for wilson is “pure passer”

    we must define the term “pure passer”. How can wilson be the best “pure passer” if he has such a terrible wind up and throwing motion? His mechanics and throwing motion were and are far worse than pryor and flynn. If not far worse they must be viewed as at least sub par.

    Does “pure passer” denote accuracy? pryor was more accurate in his final tour as a starter than wilson was and according to reports was also better in the min than wilson was.

    To dismiss or discount pryor while elevating wilson is propaganda and baseless hyperbole.

    glad that camp is here the preseason will be fun, especially watching the so called fans and media eat crow and be exposed for their various race based agandas

    I expect the rookie standout in camp and preseason MVP will be Latavius Murray. One, because he’s just that good and two, because DMC will be handled with kid gloves till September.

    surprise stats from last season…

    the Raiders Pass Defense ranked 20th last year

    despite losing Bartell & Spencer to injuries early, then Lee got hurt and Adams got hurt.. then Bartell & Lee got cut and Ross/Chekwa got some playing time

    all this with Huff playing out of position at CB for the first time in his NFL career and ZERO pass rush

    hot dang. that’s crazy. If somebody would have asked me I would have told them our pass defense was DEAD LAST a season ago

    Does that stat have anything to do with our run defense being so horrible and allowing marginal rookies like Doug freaking Martin to run for a near all time record?

  • guest123

    I don’t buy any argument that there is a clearly defined pecking order at the QB position passed Flynn who is the clear starter.

    OTA and minicamp showed that between McGloin, Pryor and Wilson, none of them separated themselves on the field.

    In fact, I’d say it goes Flynn as the one, and the other three are all tied for QB4 until someone steps up for the QB2 spot.

    Pryor has no defined pecking order and certainly he isn’t in a spot to say that QB2 is his to lose. He never had that role to begin with.

    Mistic the SupaNerd should read more Ebony Magazines

    They always have great articles about nubians in the sports world. Normally they think there’s a racial biased when they don’t get what they want.

    Take my girlfriend Monique, for example. She’s an exotic nubian who always suspects racial motives when her white manager at Spearmint Rhino doesn’t give her the primo shifts.

    That’s when I tell her “babycakes, maybe it’s time for you to ride that Lawg down there in my under shorts”

    Then she usually mounts up and starts a humpin’. Pretty soon she’s forgotten all about her delusional race wars and is just enjoying the Call of the Lawg

    @silver

    it’s still up. here is where we’re at (so far) zzzzzzzzz snooze fest

    Q: where do you think dennis allen has improved most as a head coach

    A: Thanks for asking the first question for my first CSN chat. The answer is a complicated one to answer at this point, but I believe Dennis Allen views this training camp as an opportunity to truly implement his philosophy. He has a young, impressionable group that must rally around him if the Raiders are to exceed expectations. Many of the disgruntled veterans from last year’s team are gone, which will allow Dennis to heighten the team’s discipline and get more out of this training camp

  • http://www.christianitydisproved.com/ Silverandblack666

    Tyler Wilson just signed I expect a new post!

    Q: What coaching addition out of Olson, april, sporano and sanders will have the most impact?

    A: I really like Greg Olson, and I think he’s going to play to the talent he has, which means he’ll do whatever possible to make QB Matt Flynn comfortable in the pocket and create running lanes for RB Darren McFadden, who will be the focal point of the offense.

    The biggest coup, however, was Sporano. He has an excellent track record as a position coach, a place I think he’s well suited for after stops as a head coach and an offensive coordinator. He has more talent here than most give Oakland credit for (Veldheer, Watson, Wiz) I expect a vast improvement from the O-line, and that will have a lot to do with Sporano.

  • guest123

    Only DJ Hayden and Monster Melenik left unsigned.

  • RaiderRockstar

    Tyler Wilson signed a four-year deal a few moments ago.Good news all around for a kid who should battle for the backup QB spot this season. I would expect Menelik Watson and DJ Hayden to fall in line posthaste

    -Bair

  • RaiderRockstar

    Q: [this one came from me] do you really view Maiava as a starter over Sio Moore & Miles Burris? he is scheduled for court this Friday. seems like mainly just a special teams ace and depth player to me

    A: The more I look at what Burris did last season, the less impressive it was. Miles is still a young player with tremendous upside, but I wouldn’t count Maiava out. It’s going to be a hotly contest training camp battle at strongside linebacker.

    I think Moore is the best of this bunch, but I don’t put rookie atop a depth chart until he goes through a training camp. Moore has talent, but there’s much left to prove during the preseason. He is an X factor to keep an eye on. If Moore can stay healthy during camp (vital to learning the scheme) and absorb the subtle nuances of a complicated position, he could see significant playing time whether he starts or not

  • RaiderRockstar

    @Mistic X

    Terrelle Pryor will get a chance to compete at QB, given that unproven Matt Flynn sits atop the depth chart. I need to see a lot more from him this camp in terms of accuracy. He’s a big guy but throws low. He has a powerful arm, but accuracy is crucial at the NFL level. In my mind, he’s still a project. I know he’s a dynamic talent who could be a Cam Newton-type, but he’s not ready yet. This camp, he’ll have a chance to prove me wrong -Bair

    Bair’s probably thinking, “wow so many questions from so many people, this is awesome!”

    “the hell? Maybe they’ll take me back in SD.”

  • RaiderRockstar

    Q: Do u think DJ Hayden is gonna be good

    A: I really do. This kid has the talent worthy of a top 10 selection. His health issues in college are all that kept him out of that selection range. He’s quick, agile and able to cover receivers one on one. If he can stay healthy, DJ could be a fine addition to this secondary

  • RaiderRockstar

    Q: Will Mark Davis be patient given that the rebuild does not like it will even be able to start till next year – when we lose all the dead money…

    A: Raiders fans should hope so. He’s already given GM Reggie McKenzie a vote of confidence that he’ll make it through this transition attempt, but I think he should extend one to Dennis Allen too. Coaches are charged with maximizing talent, and it’s hard for anyone to win consistently without top players. Dennis Allen took the fast track to head coaching for a reason — he’s an excellent defensive mind. He should be given 2014 at least to get this franchise back on the winning track

  • RaiderRockstar

    35 minutes into Scott’s live chat I think he’s answered like 6 questions, lol

    “maybe he’s pleading for patience, like Knapp?”

    I asked a Bair a question then drove to Santa Clara DMV proceeded to stand in line at the DMV renewed my drivers license and came back home he was just getting to my question!

  • RaiderRockstar

    Q: Any chance that going into training camp, Tyler Wilson proves he can start and then starts week 1?

    A: I don’t think so. I know there’s a trend to start young quarterbacks early on that’s paid dividends for the Seahawks, 49ers and Colts, but I’m not sure if that’s the right move here. Matt Flynn would have to lose the starting job outright for Wilson to play in week 1, and I don’t think that would be a positive for Raiders fans looking for success on Sundays. If Flynn struggles during the season and Wilson shows continued progress (he’l have to win the backup job in camp to keep his regular-season reps up), he might get a shot at midseason.

  • SaintKaufman
