Raiders injuries mounting, though coach Allen not overly concerned yet

NAPA — Running back Latavius Murray, wide receiver Conner Vernon, defensive tackle Stacy McGee and offensive lineman Alex Parsons on Tuesday joined the ever-burgeoning list of injured players.
It’s getting to the point where coach Dennis Allen conceded it’s becoming an issue. Well, yeah, given the injured players now stretches into double digits.
“Some of those injuries are starting to mount up a little bit,” Allen said, “and the day off tomorrow will be good for our guys. They’ve worked extremely hard. They’re out here battling, playing physical and doing the things we’re asking him to do.
“We can’t concern ourselves with the injuries. We have to keep moving forward. We have a team to get ready to play and we’re going to coach the heck out of the guys that are out here.”
The four added to the list Tuesday brings the number of sidelined players to 14, including the three that arrived at training camp unable to practice — defensive tackle Pat Sims, linebacker Miles Burris and offensive tackle Menelik Watson.
The other players unable to practice right now includes: offensive lineman Lucas Nix, nose tackle Johnny Jones, defenisve tackle Vance Walker, defensive lineman Brandon Bair, receiver Jacoby Ford and linebackers Billy Boyko and Kaluka Maiava.
On the bright side, the Raiders got back from injuries suffered in camp linebacker Sio Moore and wide receivers Greg Jenkins and Sam McGuffie.

Raiderduck its not hard to be consistent when all Flynn is doing is throwing medium passes. At least Pryor goes for it, has the arm for it and has completed deep TD’s.

anyone listening to the Game, 95.7, the Raider flagship station?
Buckert and Towney (?) show on, and flat out said Flynn is the starter and no one else is close.
Stated jaworski is an idiot for even stating Wilson would challenge flynn, because he looks horrible, and stated that Pryor:
    a)throws up ducks
    b)horrible footwork
    c)horrible technique releasing the ball
d)just flat out looks good, and then really bad

    Talking as we speak.

    Camp Injuries.

    Broncos O-line ailing

It isn’t even August, yet the Broncos are already down to Plan C at center. The replacement starting center Dan Koppen was Plan B, but he tore the ACL in his left knee during training-camp practice on Sunday, ending any shot he has of playing this season. Koppen had only been in Denver for about a month after the team’s starting center J.D. Walton suffered his own season-ending ankle injury.

That’s hardly the extent of Denver’s injury issues on their offensive line, though. Left tackle Ryan Clady is still recovering from shoulder surgery and has been limited in practice. Right tackle Orlando Franklin is in the same boat, having had surgery on both his toe and shoulder. And finally, guard Chris Kuper still hasn’t even practiced as he recovers from ankle surgery. All of those lingering injury issues should resolve themselves by Week 1, but if they don’t, then the fantasy value of every player on Denver’s offense could be in real trouble. Peyton Manning will never be confused with Johnny Manziel when it comes to mobility, and not many running backs can produce if defensive linemen and linebackers are in their face a nanosecond after they receive a handoff. I’ll be curious to see how well Denver’s patchwork line functions in their first preseason game on August 8th at San Francisco. If the offensive line suffers any more setbacks before then, expect to see help wanted ads popping up in Denver newspapers asking local citizens if they are interested in blocking.

Not to serious. The Eagles have so many injuries right now they say they will not tackle anymore for awhile.

Not that they did any tackling last year in games. Zing!

Man, talk about starting with the wrong foot with the injuries. However I have this theory that if the first pass I make in a soccer game is poor I will have an awesome game, and when my first pass is awesome I play poorly.

The Raiders will make the playoffs this year! Mark my very superstitious words!
