Woodson gets a day of rest

And on the 13th practice, Charles Woodson rested. Woodson, who vowed to be a regular practice participant and that coaches would have to pull him off the field, did not participate for the first time.

Coach Dennis Allen said after practice Woodson was being rested.

– A strong punting day for Marquette King, who out-kicked Chris Kluwe with a 50-yard punt to 36-yarder for Kluwe against Dallas. The Raiders punted only twice in the game.

– As promised, coach Dennis Allen began to work snappers other than Jon Condo into the special teams mix. Stefen Wisniewski rolled one to King in the end zone but was otherwise solid. Josh Cribbs took a break from his job as the personal protector on the punt team to get in a long snap.

– Minimal participation for rookie fourth-round pick Tyler Wilson, who did manage to get into a team session for one play and zipped a completion to wide receiver Connor Vernon.

– The Raiders have yet to see the defensive line they expect to start play together during training camp. Still out are Pat Sims, Vance Walker and Lamarr Houston. That leaves Christo Bilikidi and rookie Stacy McGee starting inside and veteran Andre Carter on the outside along with Jason Hunter.

– Running back Latavius Murray missed his second straight practice and his chances of unseating Rashad Jennings appear slim at this point.

– With Mike Brisiel missing his second straight day at right guard, veteran Andre Gurode again played that position alongside right tackle Khalif Barnes.

Others who missed practice included guard Lucas Nix, cornerback Taiwan Jones, tackle Menelik Watson, wide receiver Jacoby Ford, linebacker Miles Burris, linebacker Keenan Clayton, defensive lineman Brandon Bair, wide receiver Juron Criner, linebacker Billy Boyko and linebacker Kaluka Maiava.

– Free safety Reggie Smith had an interception during a 7-on-7 drill when a Terrelle Pryor pass bounced off the hands of tight end Brian Leonhardt.

– Quarterback Matt Flynn continues to show a knack for getting out of trouble then hitting receivers with short throws on the run, with running backs most often his targets.

– Tight end Jeron Mastrud was getting work with the first team offense in some packages. Mastrud played in Miami when Tony Sparano was the head coach and went through training camp in Tampa with Greg Olson as offensive coordinator. Allen said Mastrud’s strength is as an in-line blocker, making him a potential complement to rookie Mychal Rivera.

WHO DO YOU WANT TO START FOR THE RAIDERS?
    =========================================

Take the time to look at the facts…

  • Bigmike34

Do you know who the for the GB packers is…He is the best QB in football

You do remember that JaMarcus Russell before he got fat and went to the Raiders was on of the Great QBs to come out of College….Flynn was unfortunately for him playing behind those two guys….In College when he finally got his chance He took LSU to win the National Championship…something that Jamarcus could not do…
    Kirk

consider the following when you take a break from all the cutsy names

In GB when he finally got a couple of starts He set GB records for TDs in a game 6…..And yards in a game 480

Did you see how deadly accurate he is with his pin point passes…

Pryor is at best the second coming of Jamarcus…Do the Raiders really want to go down that Path again…

BigMike aka Dr. Robert aka weirdo, your comments, lies and moronic opinions and general stupidity are apparent.

  • Bigmike34

    DEREK

Specifically What lie have I told….Be very specific…

You get nasty when the FACTS keep getting in the way your Moronic Pryor Fantasy…and….when you can’t make a single Logical for Pryor that stands up to the FACTS…

  • Bigmike34

Make that single Logical Argument for Pryor

  • Derek

The greatest Raiders QB of all time had a lifetime QB rating of 75.3. His second year (1971) he had a rating of 39.2, The Raiders were 8-4-2 that season. QB ratings are over rated. At the same age as Pryor John Elway had a QB rating of 54.9. Pryor is doing great despite the fact he missed 5 games of his initial season due to an unjust suspension, then was forced to watch and play behind the inferior Matt Leinert for all but one game of his second season.

    Derek

Let me tell you how monstrously Stupid your argument is….

YOU ARE ACTUALLY ARGUING THAT WE SHOULD START PRYOR OVER FLYNN BECAUSE PRYOR HAS A “low” A “BAD” QB RATING…
