Raiders sign PK Medlock, trim four

The Raiders signed former Mission San Jose place kicker Justin Medlock and trimmed four players from the roster Tuesday to get to the NFL limit of 75 players.

Medlock worked out for the Raiders Monday, with the team in need of a kicker for Thursday night’s game in Seattle because of an apparent injury to Sebastian Janikowski.

Linebacker Miles Burris, a 15-game starter lat season, was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, meaning he will miss at least the first six games of the season.

Placed on injured reserve, meaning they won’t play for the Raiders this season, were cornerback Joselio Hanson and running back Latavius Murray. Murray, a fifth-round draft pick out of Central Florida, had recent arthroscopic ankle surgery.

The Raiders also waived cornerback Mitchell White.

Medlock, who played in college at UCLA, has played in 11 games, 10 with the Caroilina Panthers, and is 8-for-12 on field goal attempts. He also played two season for the Toronto Argonauts (2009-10) and one season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2011).

Medlock, who had six field goals of 50 yards or more in college, was a college teammate of punter Chris Klwue in 2003 and 2004 and was a sixth-round draft pick of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Seattle is really banged up coming into this game…Pryor will have a better chance then you may think. To show his stuff…The Seattle Defensive line is mostly on sick leave they have only one of their Pass rushers who will play…..At least two of their best linebackers will not play and they are not all that deep at linebacker…The defensive Backs are Tremendous but the starters will probably play a Quarter at most….The second team D-Backs are Pretty good but their starters are just awesome.

I think Pryor without too much of a pass rush on him will have time to set up and throw…and I also think he will be able to run for BIG Yards….It truly should be a good game for him….

Yes I am the guy that thinks Flynn is the best of your QBs….BUT HE SURE STUNK UP THE PLACE LAST WEEK…and Pryor has not got a Golden Opportunity….After looking very good last week
Wilson has not been playing all that well this Preseason and he will be missing Rice and Golden Tate His two best receivers and I think their top Tight end will be out as well…Marshawn Lynch may get a couple of carries but I doubt it….
