Not excited about either QB. But I say we go with Flynn.

    1) Pryor’s forced deep pass for an INT and his red zone INT vs. Dallas just reek of a QB named JaCarson Collins.

    2) Flynn’s 2 minute drill vs. NO was the high water mark of our QB play in the preseason.

Flynn is not the undisputed starter. He’s not great. But he’s the best of a mediocre bunch.

***Most logical post of the night.

    >>>>

I have the sinking feeling this will be like the JaMoney or Gradkowski decision on route to a whopping 5 win season.

I soo wanted Pryor to step up and win the job because Flynn is so horrible.

    Alas…

  • http://raiderettes.com MR..realest of the real, stickiest of the icky

After 8 years with not even a winning season, a lot of Raider fans were still confident in our GM at that time. I’m willing to give the new GM 3 years.

Are you actually watching the game, or only listening to Greg Papa? That was a catchable pass, regardless of what Papa said. See my uploaded pic below.

    Ford sucks.

“Because you need the Congress for a declaration for war, but not for a bombing. I believe Sandy Berger made that argument before the Kosovo thing in 96″

Ah, Sandy Berger, now there’s a guy known for his integrity. Part of the National Security team for Billy Jeff, you know, the guy who didn’t go after Bin Laden when the getting was good? Sandy Berger, caught stealing docs from the National Archives, stuffed in his trench coat. That guy…yeah.

16-16 two years prior to Reggie and DA taking over.

Will be lucky to be 6-26 in the two years since.

Mark is going to offer the ranch to Gruden to come back in 2014 … if he hasn’t already. It’s in stone.

DA will ultimately become an OK, long-tenured head coach at some college that hovers near the bottom of the top 25 most years.

  • Kirk

Seattle ran the same counter play EIGHT TIMES.

And it worked every single time.

    WTF?

Ford never catches a ball that might ruin his manicure. He likes them lofted and landing in his arms. Forget digging them out.

If we don’t make the playoffs this year, at the moment we lose our 9th game next year, fire Reggie for all I care. Until then, I’m all in with Reggie.

DA and reggie don’ think it’s a throwaway year. their careers are on the line.

    ———
Maybe DA, but Reggie knows he’s around for at least 2 more years. There is no way in hell he did what he did thinking his job was on the line.
    >>>>

    No kidding.

Which is Mark Davis being a green horn mistake. This is the perfect storm.

I can actually envision an 0-16 season if none of our QBs step up…

If this is a throwaway year, then there’s absolutely no reason not to go with Pryor and King.

The Flynn signing was horrendous. Could’ve brought back Desmond Bryant at that rate and signed a pass rusher.

    ====

I have at least two reasons not to go with Pryor in a throwaway year: McGloin and Wilson. If I’m going to invest in the future it’s going to be in rookies that show as much as a 3rd year guy with a track record of inability to digest the playbook.

But then I’m in the camp that doesn’t believe that running fast as a primary skill is synonymous with “so much talent” as a QB.

Then again, it takes an extraordinary talent to play a whole half of football, most against backups, with the best pass protection any starting Raiders QB has seen all season — and still not break a QBR of 10.
    ————————–

Don’t talk about playbook. Blame the coaches “Olson” and DA for that. That also goes along with the second hand treatment of Pryor. Should of had him playing with ones and the full playbook the whole time. Seems that was the first time Pryor ran the base offense “Live”.He had the QB wrist band.
Before all we heard was “packages”. I would assume they have been running those “packages” in practice and not the base offense.

5 wins seems like a miracle considering what I’ve seen the last 3 weeks. I think we have a better chance of Moses being resurrected and parting the Red Sea again next Tuesday than we do of winning 5 games.

The team will not cut Wilson. Maybe they stick him on the practice squad, but they will not cut him.

  • http://raiderettes.com MR..realest of the real, stickiest of the icky

shutdown has a very simple system when it comes to global crisis during a Democratic presidency in the U.S.

If the president doesn’t act, shutdown will call him a wuss, a tree hugger, a pacifist, say he makes American look weak, etc.

If he does act, shutdown will burn his flag, call himself a libertarian, demand this tyrannical president just end the wars and bring our boys home.

  • Chris in NY

Not sure it was such a bold call to go with Watson when Alex f-ing Barron is the alternative. LOL.

  • http://Heismantrophy.com Mr. Heisman Lombardi

tyler Wilson is good. Pryor and Mcgloin aren’t. And Flynn is ok.

  • Just Fire Baby

We will still beat those sorry azz Chiefs in Missourah again this year.

Keep Wilson he’s the QB of the future.

Reggie should have traded Ford seconds after he had that long return last week.

  • DJ Johnny

We had a few nice performances from a few select guys but the prediction I heard this morning that we would be 0-16 this yr? I saw nothing that would change any minds about us.

I’d say their prediction became even more solidified.

Might be a lot of empty seats, but you know, I have to agree. These two have arms and playing them could lead to dividends. With TP, you know his limits.

    ===

He caught two from McGloin just fine. One was on a perfectly timed slant that lead him perfectly — thus preserving his manicure — and let him run through traffic with his head up.

Could just be that he trusts one QB to put the ball in his hands without getting him killed and not so much from the other.

The team will not cut Wilson. Maybe they stick him on the practice squad, but they will not cut him.

    ——————————-

They have to cut him and hope he clears the waiver wire before they can put him on the practice squad.

If they believe he can develop, they won’t cut him. Too risky, because Wilson was probably high enough on other draft boards that someone will pluck him off waivers.

  • Just Fire Baby

You have to cut him first before putting him on the PS.

  • Dakota

He is a weak leader because he didn’t control the Egyptian revolt and subsequent elections to ensure that the brotherhood didn’t take over….look how that turned out.

He is a weak leader because he turned his back on a revolt by the moderates against the psychos in Iran when he had he chance to rid that region of the nutcases in charge.

He is a weak leader because he didn’t step in and assist when moderates were the ones fighting in Syria, and they had to turn to the terrorists to assist them in the war instead of us helping them.

He is a weak leader because he warned Syria once about chemical weapons and then ignored evidence that they used them, and now he can’t even get our closest allies to assist us now that he has finally had enough!

He is weak because he doesn’t know when to use our influence in the right manner. It is about his timing and his ability to influence and shape the outcomes of disputes that affect our national interests and the interests of our allies.

The blood is in the water…..world leaders know he is weak and indecisive.

“Dude, feel sorry for the teams that the Raiders do manage to beat, if they win games this season.”

    So true!

  • 0ak r8rs

I can’t wait till Barron gets cut. We needed him to step up, and he’s made Willie Smith look viable. What a pathetic POS. At least he wasn’t OUR first round pick. Compete useless trash that bum.

  • Bigmike34

Pryor….a 9 QB RATING It is much tougher playing against the other teams #1s….Vrs the #2 and #3s that Pryor had been playing against.

I Understand why people get so excited about him…Unfortunately he is just playing out of position…He has enormous Talent but not a QB..

  • http://raiderettes.com MR..realest of the real, stickiest of the icky

Ah, Dakota has a clever angle. He’s going to criticize the president for being a war monger while also working in the wuss angle. Total fail, but a nice effort nonetheless.
