Raiders name seven to practice squad

The Raiders brought back five players to their practice squad Monday in addition to two players who were waived by other teams.

The returning players are cornerback Chance Casey, wide receiver Greg Jenkins, tight end Brian Leonhardt, guard Lamar Mady and safety Shelton Johnson. All were waived by the Raiders Saturday.

Also signed to the practice squad were linebacker Marshall McFadden, who was waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and offensive tackle Matt McCants, who spent last season on the practice squad of the New York Giants. McCants was a sixth-round draft pick of the Giants in 2012.

Got my own private T-Storm a few minutes ago.
Flipped to the Weather Channel and the doppler showed a narrow band right over me SW to NE. Actually that’s when the power went off. But ten minutes later that’s what it showed, green for less than 5 miles either side of me with a yellow cell directly overhead.
Looked outside, and damned if it wasn’t yellow.

The Haters were absolutely certain Wilson would replace Pryor

One of them was Dr Retard.
    ********
    Fat lying idiot.

I never made a connection between the two.

Simply said Pryor SHOULD not be a qb on this team.

Cut him. Trade him. Convert him.

Get him the fvck out from behind center.

Cuz he’s the NFL’s worst passer.
    ————–

Oh shut up. You were one of the Wilson OVERRATERS. Actually more like anything to bash Pryor
    ***********
No. I like his potential but u said long ago that he had mechanics issues.

    My horse is Flynn.

And yes, ANY qb but Pryor.

    NFL’s worst.

Maybe there is a trade in the works right now for a backup because with Pryor in there we are only one hit away from Flynn and that scares most of us!

No. First of all, he hasn’t done anything.

2nd, if they do start him, it will be contrary to what should happen and it will be a disaster.

That’s the thing. Pryor starting means my Raiders will be the worst team in football and its a shame.

U guys will laugh. For a brief time.

Then realize how right i was.

Too bad for the Raiders and people who want them to succeed rather only caring about watching a circus act.
    =============================================
    Yeah sure, Bobby.

All these months. Thousands of comments from you.

Getting cut. Getting traded. 6th string. Will never ever start.

Yep, we’ll all realize how right you were.

    Oh yeah.
    **********
    It’s not over yet.

And u display ur lack of depth by talking of my 6th string prediction as if it was a serious statement.

U guys are such simpletons sometimes.

Let’s not get into the Al vs Reggie debate because there should not even be such a thing.

Al was a very ill man his last few years and made a ton of bad decisions, why compare Reggie to him?.

It is fully expected of Reggie to be a better GM than a sick, 80 year old man who had trouble walking.

Compare Reggie to the rest of the current GM’s around the League but, to be fair, you also have to take into account that Reggie inherited the worst cap situation in the League.

And like I said yesterday, the Panthers rookie GM Dave Gettleman took the job in January and was 16 over the cap, 7 months later he was 12 million UNDER the cap, that’s a 28 million turnaround in a single off-season, just goes to show you cap issues can get fixed soon if you come in with a sound plan and take your medicine right away.
    ********************************************
Bob, you’re a very smart man. What makes your points so sound is they rarely have an agenda incorporated in them. You just say what you see and believe…………what a concept?!

YIPPEEE another TE added I wonder if Reg is planning on 4 TE sets since we barely have 3 WR’s that can get open, run routes, and catch.

We may not see immediate benefits from all the formations and athleticism but over the course of say 3-4 games man DC’s will be awake long hours trying figure out a way to slow us down. It may take a few weeks to get everyone flowing but when they do it’s going to be fun to watch.

Lol. Already priest is preparing for pryors failure and why it won’t really count.

    “He needs four games”

Then it will be “he needs a season”.

    Then “he needs another season”.

Worst passer in the nfl. He will never be a good passer.

If DA starts him, it will be displayed for all. And the excuses will come flying in.

This NIX kid we have at OG I have been watching, he has excellent size and athleticism, same as the others we are starting to put together a very good Oline IMO. It aint nearly as bad as many are making it out to be however they do need to gel. But there are some great pieces there.

Bill Romo in the Raiders the last pre-game TV show said that he would make everything that he could to make sure Pryor is named the starter, and if Junior and the Big Mac Zar refused he would do something about that. He said that Matty Flynch wasn’t even a back-up, a third stringer at best.

Mighty harsh words for someone who also said that he stood next to Mac Zar on the sidelines during practice praising the future potential of Melenik.

Can Romo influence the Mac Zar into getting Pryor the nod? Is the Mac Zar willing to eat having Flynch as a third stringer for a measly 6.5 M?

A major conundrum created by the Zar Mac with his pet project Matty Flynch.

    (Erasing recordings of preseason games)

Well, the A’s are doing pretty good with a bunch of no-names. Maybe some will rub off on the Raiders.

(Looks like they are rebuilding the team this weekend anyway)

  • nikemike7

Say what you want, but Pryor will be getting in there. Either b/c 15Flynn’s tendenitis issues will flare-up or his INT issues will resurface. Then when 6Pryor gets repeatedly INT’d, DA will be forced to insert 14McGloin.
