Wow…looked up my first mock draft and they have us going 1-15, picking #1 and getting Bridgewater.

    http://www.battleredblog.com/2013/9/3/4688850/2014-nfl-draft-brett-uncorks-his-first-2014-mock-draft-of-the-season

  • ElkGRaider

Let’s at least play game #1 before looking at mock drafts…

  • SilverNBlackPA

There are people out there who are saying the Raiders are as bad or worse than the 2008 Lions and will go 0-16 as well. When I say I think the team can go 6-10, they act like I just predicted a Super Bowl appearance.

  • 24

This one has us picking Clowney #2

“Yeah Einstein we gave up “TWO” draft picks for Flynn and we used a 4th round pick on a QB we cut.
    ————
Apparently on of the superbowl favorites thought Flynn was worth the money also. We still have that 4th round qb (I could end that with dumb@ss or numbnut but what’s the point)”

I am so sorry that I have to explain this to you. It’s painfully obvious that you have zero football IQ.

We cut Tyler Wilson he was the highest draft pick cut…..he then cleared waivers (all 32 teams) and had to settle for being on our practice squad.

That is not a victory in any way no matter how hard you want to try and spin it!

We gave up 2 draft picks and 6.5 million for Flynn who will most likely sit on our bench….Now I know your a “dumbass numbnut” but even you can see Reggie whiffed on the QB attempts this off season.

    ++++++++++++

I’m predicting splits with KC and SD and picking up wins against the Jags, Jets, Steelers and Titans. If Pryor is anything like we hope he is, I don’t see how that’s so far-fetched, you know?

Ultimately I think that’s the ceiling for this team because the trenches are a mess and I fully expect to see them getting regularly blown right off the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball

Don’t know what they’re smoking. We’ll be 2-14 at least. At LEAST! If not better!

BSPN knows this to be true and has us as 31st best team in the NFL. Woot!

Those people you’re talking to better recognize!

    Yahoo article about Pryor starting:

“He has an uphill battle. He still hasn’t developed much as a passer. His 59.5 passer rating in the preseason is scary. The Raiders don’t have an offensive line that can protect him (that’s one reason Matt Flynn failed this preseason) and they don’t have any dynamic pass catchers. Most of his success will come from his running ability. He’ll need to get better as a passer or he won’t make it. Ask Tim Tebow about that.”

if we are going to be terrible, I would prefer to go 2-14 rather than 0-16 with both wins coming against Kansas City (draft picks be derned!)

That’s over the top…. They actually think we’re worse off than when we had Russell, Lelie, and Fargas? don’t forget the TURD…..

Wait a minute, we ARE pretty packed with Rookies, No-Names, and cast-offs….

Exactly. People on this blog have often used the word “leader” with ” one who shows excitement.” Ken Stabler would have never passed their test, nor would Plunkett.

    TP2 = Randall Cunningham

    in RC’s 3rd year (1987) he threw for 2786 yards & 23 TD’s and rushed for 505 yards & 3 TD’s

    223/406 (54.9 completion %) 12 INT’s and he was sacked 54 times … QB Rating = 83

Eagles won 7 games that year. 2nd in the NFC East

  • 2romes

It really depends on the defense in regards to how many games the Raiders win. If the Raiders can hang around and be close to many teams in the forth the Raiders will win up to 8 games. My prediction is the Raiders will win five games.

What’s the over/under on how long it’s going to take them to kick Barnes inside to RG and make Pashos the starting RT and send Brisiel back to the bench? Because that’s where I think we’re headed.

  • RaiderRockstar

According to this website, the Raiders O-Line was 4th best in pass protection:

    27 sacks allowed

A REAL Leader is the 1st man in the scuffle, then asks his teammates why didn’t they jump in

  • romania

If they just compete game 1, and are 1 and 1 come game 3, the season will be entertaining.

    1+1+1=3. I like it!

  • RaiderRockstar

despite the propaganda that Knapp had DMAC (and all other runners) running side2side rather than “downhill” or “north & south” … the majority of runs (36%) went right up the middle behind center & guard

Even so – Only 2 teams ran up the middle less than we did (Eagles & Redskins)

our play calls running to the left vs running to the right were exactly 50/50

  • romania

lost 1 and won 1, by game 3, get it? Woodson as a leader is miles ahead of what we had last year. Colts d ain’t so great and they’ll be gassed by the 4th q.

Don’t watch Bass play in the Seattle game. Unless you want to get pissed off. Dude was all over the field, making plays and pressures all night, played hard and fast. @ 2 min 3rd qtr, vicious spin move to the inside for a big sack. It was called back on a defense hold in the secondary. But after rewatching the game I can’t believe they let this guy go. Bears got a gift. This guy will be playing in their rotation this season and making a difference.

Missing on 4th rounders, cutting good draft picks, I thought Reggie was an evaluator of talent?

    ———————–

Yeah. Didn’t get that at all. On a team totally bereft of pass rushers he seemed like maybe the one promising option. This could be a HUGE mistake by Reg.

    $$$$

Definite Mistake. I think you keep both Robinson and Bass.

If Robinson outplayed him, I didn’t see it and if it was it wasn’t by much.

I liked Bass over Briesel, Mastrud, and Flynn…but definitely over Kluwe and Wilson.

    Hope he does well.

  • ChowderHead

If the defense can really shut down opponents, the offense can put up large points, and we win enough games to get into the playoffs, DA has a real good chance of getting the Coach of the Year (COY). Lets do it.

If we get to 500 this year next year should look much better if prior is the answer then we can draft defense
if our quarterback situation has not worked out then we can draft one by finishing 500
we might have to trade up to get the quarterback we want there is supposed to be quite a few out there this year
Bridgewater seems to be the Andrew Luck this year if Bridgwater is as good as they say he is
he could step right in and start winning like Luck did that’s what we need
