Ausberry, Watson still unable to practice

ALAMEDA — Offensive tackle Menelik Watson and tight end David Ausberry are not practicing today, which makes them questionable, at best, for the Raiders regular-season home-opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Watson wasn’t anywhere to be seen as the rest of his teammates commenced practice Wednesday. Ausberry eventually made his way on to the field, where he worked with a team trainer.
Last week, Ausberry had a sling on to help support and protect his injured shoulder. He is working without a sling today, which indicates he is making progress.
Strong safety Tyvon Branch also is not practicing. He suffered a shoulder injury Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. It’s unclear as of now what his status is for the Jaguars game.
The offensive line lined up the way it did against the Colts, with Khalif Barnes at left offensive tackle, Lucas Nix at left guard, Stefen Wisniewski at center, Mike Brisiel at right guard and Tony Pashos at right offensive tackle.
Once Watson returns, it’s uncertain how that affects the line. The Raiders could opt to leave the line intact, go with Watson at left tackle and move Barnes back to right tackle, play Watson at left tackle, leave Pashos at right tackle and convert Barnes to a guard.
No word yet from the Raiders on whether Sunday’s game will be televised. The Jaguars are a tough sell because of their lack of star power and recent slide.
