Janikowski denies report about him rooting against A’s

ALAMEDA – Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski vehemently denied a report in the Florida Times-Union on Thursday that said he roots against the A’s each season.
The story said Janikowski confided in Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee about hoping for the A’s season to end as soon as possible each year so that he doesn’t have to kick off the infield dirt anymore than necessary.
“Whatever he says just blows my mind,” Janikowski said of Scobee. “That didn’t happen. Hell no. I just want to let you know. … I kicked 14 years on it, it really doesn’t bother me.”
Janikowski typically shies away from the media during locker-room access. On Thursday, he planted himself in front of his locker and waited for the media.
He stumbled across the report a short time before media access. He said he wasn’t pleased.
“I was pissed off,” Janikowski said. “That’s why I’m talking to you guys. I just want to get that straight.”
The story said Janikowski roots against the A’s for selfish reasons, for once the A’s season ends then the dirt infield gets covered with grass and makes it easier for kickers and other players to perform.
If anything, Janikowski said, kicking off the dirt gives Janikowski and punter Marquette King an edge over their counterparts.
As for the A’s, Janikowski said he often attends games, though not as often now that he has two kids.
“If they make the postseason, I’m in,” Janikowski said.

I think the clowns on this board should go back and watch the game again. I still maintain that Pryor was the best QB in the building on Sunday.

I’ll say it for you then Jano. I hope the A’s lose so we can get rid of this tacky dirt.

“Pryor is a stud” Andrew Luck said

“Pryor gave the whole team hope.” John Madden

PFT articles, ESPN , NFL NETWORK , CBS SPORTS.. all talking about raiders in positive light.

“i want to see more of Pryor” MMQB founder PETER KING

As much as I have been pulling for pryor from the get go, I give him a ton of credit for sitting back not stirring things up. He is now in the envious position of leading this team back from the dead. I even give him credit for not laughing while Mary Flynn was at the helm.

pryor will improve and grow from the experience especially knowing he cant count on allen to be aware or help him out

    allen stinks period

    ***

Has nothing to do with DA, Mistic!

    Pryor made a mistake

    ================

    you are dense

of course pryor made a mistake, it was expected in his 2nd career start. All inexperienced qbs make mistakes, especially guys that were number 2 “pakage” qbs for all of ota mimni and through game 4 of the preseason.

    I am not absolving pryor.

However a sharp coach anticipates a young qb struggling and bails him out with the time out.

A dummy sits there with a deer in head lights look choking on his own foolish attempt to bury the qb under the bench in the first place.

Allen is the head coach clock management stops with him.

he has the ability and authority to override any player qb or coach and call time outs.

    he sucked in that moment

    end of story

Allen should have recognized what was happening and called the time out.

Once again, mistic shows his complete lack of any football knowledge. In that instance even on the 8 yard line, if the team was really as discombobulated as you believe, they should just take the 5 yard delay of game, and keep the timeout. The timeout is much more valuable than five yards. If you call timeout, and run a play, and let’s say something bad happens on the next play like a sack, or fumble, chances are you would not be able to get another play off, or it would just be a fire drill out there. And You still need a TD, so the five yards is not going to make a huge problem for your offense. In fact some offenses prefer to have a little more room to work.

Ive rooted for the likes of jim plunkett,Marc Wilson,Jay Shcroeder, vince evans, aaron brooks, jamarcus russel, bruce gradkowski, ric mirer, todd marinovich, jeff george to name a few and idgaf what color my qb was/is all i concern myself with is the same thing that MrDavis wanted victory. All this race baiting and color coding is sickening. We’ve got to do better people.Flynn had his opportunity and he sh1&ted on it.Next man up.Lets rally around Terrel and root for him and watch him grow and develop. We have all kinds of different ethnicities on our team but under the Shield we are all silver and black and committed to excellence, lets unite and cheer our franchise to victory as we ascend back to the top where we truly belong…..Raiders 4 Life my brethren n sisters
