Janikowski not pulling for A’s this season, or any other

By Steve Corkran
Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at 12:42 pm in Oakland Raiders.

ALAMEDA — A report in the Florida Times-Union on Thursday said Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski confided in Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee about rooting against the A’s.
Janikowski does so for selfish reasons, according to the story, for once the A’s season ends then the dirt infield gets covered with grass and makes it easier for kickers and other players to perform.
Janikowski has not had a chance to respond to the story yet. Locker-room access is in about an hour.
Scobee is practicing kicking off dirt this week in anticipation of having to do so Sunday, when the Jaguars play the Raiders at the Coliseum.
Janikowski and the Raiders also will be forced to deal with the grass-and-dirt surface for their game against the Washington Redskins on Sept. 29.
The Raiders game against the San Diego Chargers on Oct. 6 likely would be moved to San Diego if the A’s make the playoffs.

Newton is a headcase. Take Pryor over him any day.

No idea. Just woke up, and have to releive a few llamas of there defensive players. Fighting teeth, nasty things. Trying to integrate some 2 year old males.
This llama farming isn’t all fun and games.
But I’ll get back to you.

    Pat Sims.

His stat line may not show reflect his dominance, but it all starts with him in the middle.

    _______
he looks like our best defensive player with Houston a close second, and a damn good one at that

    >>>

He looked great the last preseason game but didn’t do much Sunday. I saw him get pushed around some too… I wonder about his conditioning. How can you have that big of a change in one week?

Though it is not an excuse that Pryor would use after losing the game…I think Mistic definitely outlines some good points as to why a timeout should have been taken on that play. It was way too crucial of a time for our team not to be on the same page. I’m as big of a DA apologist as there is, but I think Mistic is right on this one. The other side has good points too, but overall, I agree-calm everything down and try to execute something everyone is ready for.

we dont have ‘a more experienced pryor” we had pryor in his second career start sucking wind.

    @Mistic

    great players don’t make excuses.
    ===================

    go away idiot

i didnt attribute any excuse to pryor, i mad an observation.

Allen should have recognized what was happening and called the time out.

That would have preserved the down and allowed the raiders to set up what they wanted for the next few downs. this would have allowed them to make certain everybody know what they needed to do.

It would have allowed pryor to make line adjustments

nix and barmes could have handled the blitz

i have seen countless coaches take those time outs with a young qb. Its is prudent.

worrying about luck scoring in 60 seconds or less is why you pay for a defense and why you hired allen a defensive coach in the first place.

pryor will improve and grow form the experience especially knowing he cant count on allen to be aware or help him out

    allen stinks period

I wonder how many times during training camp and the week before the Indy game the coaching staff practiced with Pryor on 1st and goal on the 7 yard line over a minute left on the clock with one time out left and the game on the line the situation. My guess is zero, maybe they thought that situation would never happen.

Let’s hope this mistake is corrected and taken care of. I could’t believe the play call and what I saw happened, and yet it reminded me of many past horrors in Raider Nation history

I think the clowns on this board should go back and watch the game again. I still maintain that Pryor was the best QB in the building on Sunday.

what’s the odds on the Jacksonville Raider game

  • No Mas Diamante

This is an important game for McFadden . I think he goes off and hopefully takes some heat off Pryor . If not then get Reece involved. We need weapons!

Has nothing to do with DA, Mistic!

Pryor made a mistake. He’s not incapable of them, ya know? Even the best QB’s make mistakes. Pryor is growing into an awesome QB. He doesn’t need you passing blame to his HC. If you told him that, he’d laugh in your face. Pryor is a man. You’re a little schoolgirl. He’s gonna kick some tail this weekend. He may not be mistake-free though, so if he fumbles or throws an INT I suspect you’ll be there to criticize Allen, Olson, Flip or one of the white linemen

My gawd, can we at least remain a bit objective? The best qb I hope will one day wear the silver and black and maybe TP will be that guy, but the best qb in the bldg. at Indy was the guy who came through with defense recognition, with timing, with his passing, and with his running when the game was on the line and he had to DO it. Our qb didn’t come through when it was there for the taking. I can’t criticize him for it much since his keeping plays alive was the only reason we were in a position to win it anyway. However, the other guy pulled his teammates out of the fir…and won the game. We lost.

  • willy91137

Terrelle Pyror there’s nobody in the league like him for his size he so damn fast

Taiwan Jones would have trouble catching him but he’s got to be able to stay in the pocket and throw a ball

and when we played Denver he won’t have anywhere to go they won’t let him get on the corner
so we will have some plays in the middle of the field for sure he will be better this week than he was last week
